It's a heck of a lot easier to get European games in Europe than it is in America. Not exactly certain. I want to start paying eBay prices. It's one of the reasons why I'm glad that I found the Japanese versions
That's funny, i'm french and ever since 2020 when i got the volume 2, i was looking for the pal versions of the games. Today in 2024 i've finally managed get them all
Luckily the with the GameBoy it is truly compatible with all Game Boy systems worldwide. So we don't have to deal with TV standards. I'm currently working on a video and it includes some European NES games and I'm having to switch things up in my system to get them to work correctly. But if it's taking you a long time to find them, then I don't think I'm going to worry much about trying to track down the European releases. I'm happy with my bootleg cart so I can play Ganbare Geoman in English
@@8bitjoystick Yeah, they are REALLY not common to find, so i consider myself lucky. While i've managed to find the first 3 volumes by either pure luck and in game bundles, i had to import the 4th one all the way from Portugal.

Je n'ai pu me procurer que les versions japonaises et j'ai dû utiliser un everdrive pour jouer aux versions européennes de ces collections Konami. @@8bitjoystick Sorry to break the bad news, lol. You only get the special borders on the Super Gameboy. I do believe the Gameboy Player has generic borders you can use though, but it also adds lag and degrades the image. Better to use Gameboy Interface.
@@braillynn4903 I just wish that I could edit a video to take things I get wrong out. UA-cam does not let you re-upload an existing video without major consequences. Not the worst factual error I've made so far. The worst was wrong discussing Sega CD region locking
@@jedoled The Gameboy Player is a GBA, so it will play the black carts in color. For the gray carts, you can do the dpad and button combos to get preset color pallettes like you can on a Gameboy Color.

Great video! I had no idea about these Konami collections. Definitely putting them on my Miyoo, the carts are pricey!
Well it took me a while to complete collection. I kept checking out the online import retailers that I shop at and eventually they showed up.

You don't get the colored borders when played on the Gameboy Player.

The European edition (black cartridges) are the only ones to display colors.
But not compatible with the Game-boy Player, no color palette.
