just thought I would mention this Phil, OEM bolts with Audi wheels are 28mm in length, add the spacers thickness makes the bolts 43MM, so for the front you would need 45mm........ same for the back mate 20MM wheel spacer you would need 50mm Bolts, your VLOG states 40mm...... I realised that 40mm couldn't be correct but there might be some people that don't
There’s a lot of aftermarket parts that should’ve been OEM that aren’t maybe they want you to come to the dealer more often idk 🤷🏽♂️ there are alot of revised parts from Audi like the ignition coils have been thru 7 or 8 revisions that’s just one of many examples i could give, you just have to know what’s out there I’ve learned alot of oem parts aren’t the best mainly because audi or any other car manufacturer for that matter believe it or not didn’t realize a part like this could make that much of a difference especially as you start gettin ware and tear up in the higher mileage, when your testing a new car everything’s gonna feel fine, everything’s new lol so it probably wasn’t even a thought it’s almost up to the owner to correct these things as newer technology(parts) come out ,another example is the JXB driveshaft carrier which should be put on every and any Audi specifically to replace the janky oem driveshaft that will deteriorate and cause to much play and thus causing damage to the diff and trans trust there’s pretty much a better part for every mechanical part in the car that can be replaced and is better than OEM
Hi Phil, just a quick question did you get any tyre rubbing with the wheel spacers?........Im going for the 15 & 20 same as you.....Im running 20inch S5 OEM alloys
Mount insert should be arriving monday and i can wait to pop that sucker in and stop the jerky transmission :) and its 25ft/lbs to torque it down? Idk Nm !
Hand tight is probably overtorqued for this unit. 20nm is only about 15lb/ft. I have the Canadian curse of knowing both systems. And for anyone wondering the type of bit you need is commonly known as a triple square.
There are many available on eBay and eBay items come and go, this is the one that I bought and is still available at this time www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133584605729

As you can see from the video, my replacement bolts are longer than the originals by the thickness of the spacer!
@@philscars I agree but, the 40mm bolt size which flashes up on screen could be misleading to some
If the transmission mount insert is such a great upgrade for such a cheap price why hasn’t Audi made it OEM ?
Good question!!
They don't care

Because why would they? Its a money grab for them to take your car into the shop and fix your "transmission issues"

None at all mate
@@philscars cool
Is it true that there is some kind of shift relearn procedure that can be performed? Is it needed after this mount install?
I think there is, but I don't think it needs to be done after the mount has been fitted...
Is it the same gearbox mount setup for manuals too?
I’m not sure, but I would expect so, just jack up one side and take a look.
Will do @@philscars My S5 is being delivered on 4/9 so I'll take a look then
Let me know when you check!

Such a simple fix to the car!!
Yessir! Indeed! I hope to see more videos
Defo! Keep watching the channel!!
Im sure that mounting bracket needs torqueing down.
I did, but forgot to film it! It 20Nm for those that don't know

How about the free movement of transmission?
it fits inside another rubber mount so it still has enough movement
