- was playing some 2fort the other day and saw that. i dont know ifd this is a glitch or something from the recent big update but it scared me. today i decided to upload it here to see if anyone has encountered something similar

The fact that the blu sniper was dead when everyone disappeared and now he looks confused when everyone appeared again is interesting in my opinion

i know this is like, 5 months too late, but if you look closely around the time the scout gets back the sniper also runs in the room at the same time. Its possible he experienced the same thing

He’s as confused as Scout. Everyone is doing emotes while the two of them have no clue what the fuck just happened.
0:25 You can hear someone switch to their melee and follow scout down the spiral hallway, but we never see what it is cause he never looks behind him. Just another unsettling detail.
That scared me as much as the sniper jumpscare, it could be a spy preparing for a backstab

the sense of dread and fear rising once you watch it for the first time has to get you the most, and a regular scout ( Kieg ) barely making it alive or would've gotten a virus if not for scouts speed really got me when watching it.
@@jamesdevine02 I feel like the jumpscares is a bit unnecessary as it reveals what is likely following scout and when you don’t know what is chasing them in horror situations it’s more scary
@@jamesdevine02 Just that at 0:25 you can hear a sound effect from halflife, which is pretty easy to miss. But it does give a tip to the viewer that there was a splice into another clip right there.
0:16 i like how he didnt remove the dancing players, he just moved them down, u can see the soldier doing manrobics i think

Using scouts as the main protagonist for a digital horror is perfect. I mean, you can’t really ask for help since that’s what every scout does. you’re completely helpless. good trope

Interesting things about this video:
-the blue sniper is the only one not dancing, and he also looks a bit confused
-after the red scout escapes we can see for a half second the blue sniper entering the room and then looking everywhere confused and probably scared (im assuming this because of the way he moves his head)
Earlier in the video his dead body was seen by the scout, he probably experienced the anomaly as the scout did but worse as he was killed and had to view things from his own corpse til the Anomaly ended

I love how clearly afraid scout is in this. The roaring static that plays as the anomaly approaches, and the sudden silence as the party of friendlies dissapears. Perfect.

Things to note
1. we are red on the class screen there is 1 scout 1 heavy and 1 sniper but in game we see pyro, engie, soldier, medic
2. the small medkit is a cupcake while the medium is normal so we can assume either A. this take place in august or B. this is a custom server
3. this takes place before 2020 but after 2015 as a free to play is using voice commands and the manrobotics taunt is being used
4. scout is being chased by a red sniper aka one of the classes that were seen as having players on pick class seen
u also forgot that the sniper was seen dead and at the end of the video the sniper looks around confused like the scout

Great work on the sound!! An excellent detail is 0:25 hearing the spawn door open on the right and subsequently footsteps following you downstairs
it was the sound of a sniper's gun being drawn

At 0:17 when Scout goes up the stairs you can see what looks like a red pyro in the lower room, so maybe everyone just clipped through the floor and went back up after Scout left

This…THIS… IS A MASTERPIECE. A horror game that takes place in a PVP shooter. After winning one round, some weird things start to occur. As a F2P, you realize you can’t talk to the server. Then, you meet it. It is a black anomaly. But right after getting to a climax… everything goes back to normal. And it seems your team has won the match…Or did they?

Not sure if this means anything, but I find it interesting how the blu sniper is the only one not dancing and when everyone disappears, he is found dead instead.
my assumption was they went to the battlements the same time the scout left, and as a result went through the anomaly as well. their reaction was for the same reason as the scout
I think sniper went to the mid section looking thru his scope, he noticed the anomaly it spawned next to him and killed him (in 2nd part you hear him die, not of any damage its more of killbind way)

In the first part when the character goes past the entirety of the people in the game, I thought it was just a joke. But as soon as they dissappeared and I saw the red sniper I was actually scared, very well done! Also whenver the flahlight turns on it reminds me of the nextbot chases

i especially like how at the end, the sniper stands still while everyone else is goofing around. he even glances at the scout
I think it’s become noticed that both the sniper and scout are the only ones aware of the Anomaly, sniper probably more so since he was probably killed and brought back once the Anomaly ended since we saw his dead body

I don't know how you did this, but when I saw that jumpscare of the Sniper, I felt a horrible chill and when you escaped I felt a tremendous panic. 10/10
i thought this was a late april fools video because of the friendlies, caught me off guard for sure. would have been cool if the auto disconnect countdown started when they disappeared. viewmodel looked a bit strange. i saw something below where scout was first looking before they disappeared, looked like a red soldier taunting or the red sniper. hope you do more videos like these, this shit is amazing
This is terrifying and is incredibly well made
Subtle societal commentary at play here. Scout rejects joining the crowd for mannrobics, he dismisses them as outrageous and not like him and goes on his own way to pursue his interests by himself, only to be left behind by the people and world he knew and embraced by the horror of being completely alone in an alien place with the other unsociables like him. No one to turn to during times of need, no one to ever remember he was there in the first place. In the depths of despair, Scout manages to escape back to reality and is able to see society in a new light, one of comfort and safety. Maybe the ever-friendly mannrobics team he was so quick to reject was where he belonged all along.

I love this idea! People usually feel safe in TF2, since it's multiplayer. People tend to feel weird in Minecraft or GMod because these games have the unsettling loneliness to them
But TF2? People are constantly goofing off in that game, and the maps are full of life. So making it so even in multiplayer, with other people, in the middle of the crowd... you can still be helpless and alone... is genius! It removes the one thing that makes humans feel safe. Crowds. We have always gathered in crowds, more the better. But the notion that even in a public server, you can be plucked out and in danger under everyone's noses and they wouldn't even notice? That's scary!

Did anyone notice that when the player went to go select scout at the beginning the only other red players were a heavy, a sniper and another scout. But during the Mannrobics dance a red engineer, a red solder, and a red pyro can be seen dancing?

This feels like one of those rare dreams you wake up from every once in a while as it leaves you in a confused, unexplained state before it just embodies the rest of your day.

Ohohouoh this actually made me feel dread in my chest. I felt that dull pain I feel when anxiety starts creeping up on me. Nicely done, can't wait to see more
something i like is how the sniper still chases you after he teleports to your face, not releasing any tension from the jumpscare up until you get back to the rest of the players
I think my favorite detail of this was sniper very slowly moving around the corner at 0:33. The players disappearing and sniper evading scout before were weird, but that was the first sign that something was seriously not right. It's such a simple thing, but a slow creeping motion like that just isn't present in the base game so it's alarming to see.
Also, really nice how scout lingers on it for a bit before moving again. I didn't notice it on my first couple of watches because it so naturally coincides with the viewer's own double-take. The acting is really well done.

This Actually reminds me of a dream that I had. in the dream I was loading into 2fort and when it finished loading I picked engineer and started playing. but almost after I started running around I noticed that nobody was on the server, it was just me all alone as engineer. but I could hear footsteps of another player. in the dream I tried looking for this player but I never found him.

The fact that everything returned to normal and that players were doing manrobics is both hilarious yet terrifying to think about.
Imagine narrowly escaping a very dangerous entity, and when you finally reach a group of people, they all act like nothing has happened, leaving you the only one witness whatever the hell was chasing you.

Something i noticed is that the blue sniper is the only one who isnt dancing, also that it's the only corpse found by scout when he got at the other part, its kinda curious how when scout gets out of that place, the blue sniper slightly looks at him and tienes away

Now, I've noticed something of interest in the beginning and at the end... ( + something else )
In the beginning ( 0:10 ), the medic and the sniper are not dancing with the rest. The sniper is standing still, the medic looks like he's looking for something, or someone.
Now in the end ( 0:55 ), the medic and the sniper are still not dancing, this time the medic is crouching, the sniper is still standing still, and the sniper quickly takes a look at the scout before ending the video.
* Another curious detail is the single unknown guy (the soldier, perhaps?) from behind the stairs ( 0:16 ) when the scout is going up the stairs before he finds that everyone is missing and after another scout calls out for the medic.
I'd thought I'd share my thoughts on those details...
Something I LOVE that I haven't seen anyone else point out, when Scout is being chased up the spiral and makes it to the friendlies, not only is the same blue sniper who died not dancing with everyone else, we see him enter the room the same time scout does from the battlements. Don't know if I'm looking into it too much, but it feels like it's some sort of like, parallel, scout entering the room, quickly followed by the sniper from another, as if to say how the sniper was JUST about to reach the scout before he left spiral. Amazing stufg

I think this is actually well made but one small detail that bugged me a little bit was the fact that on the class selects screen the people on the scouts team aren't the same as the people actually in game. Very minor nitpick but overall I actually really enjoyed this from a horror perspective.
I think these are the players TAKEN by the anomaly and now stuck on those classes in the waiting room
If this becomes and ARG,watch out for every sniper because i fell that theres some thiungs about them
Not only was the entity a Red Sniper ,but the only corpse was a blue sniper ,and when everything goes back to normal ,a blue sniper enters the scene via the same hall where the blue sniper corpse was ,and is the only one that doesnt dance and even looks direcly at the scout
I think he's looking around in a slightly confused manner, as if he just experienced something very similar
really immersive but the Civilian pose breaks character quite easily as we are used to looking at that xD

Empty tf2 maps have always had this really empty and ominous feeling. Stuff like pl_upward and ctf_well just don't feel right. Even unofficial maps like jb_volcano have that feeling. Great job on the video
It's the same thing with any map made by valve, when empty it's just eerie.
