- "Hello, This is me once again, Nick, you may know me for showcasing a certain lost game, which is known as, DOOMED, I've taken a break from that game since it has been messing up with my mental health and Liam's as well, however we did come across another anomaly, this time it's very interesting because this one is about Plants Vs Zombies, this hacked version definitely looks like it was intended for someone else, and it's very interesting,
and about the other game, DOOMED, we've made a lot of progress and discoveries but that's for another video, and we wanted to do something different, as I previously stated, it has been messing up with my mental health lately."

It’s kinda touching how the mother isn’t angry or trying to kill the player child at all. She’s just trying to play a game with her child she won’t see again.

Fun fact, this game traumatized me when I was a kid.
I watched my uncle play it, and unfortunately for me, he lost, and as you know, when you lose the game, you hear the screams of a man being eaten by zombies, and these sounds TERRIFIED me lmao. I couldn't sleep for several days after that.
OMG I HATED THOSE SCREAMS TOO
My classmate and her sister used to make fun of it. I remember myself crying so hard from that and running home from them after all what happened...
NAH NO WAY THAT EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME LOL
Your fear was same with my friend who just scared by game over sound😂
Dude same for me
Same i always closed the game when I lost but now I'm not scared anymore playing it again and I'm also about to beat it
11:05 WHY WAS THE "ill give you another chance, darling" ACTUALLY REALLY WHOLESOME??
Also, the threepeaters are white and not a part of the players roster. The mother gave the player the plants to help fend off the zombies 🥲
Forget the horror, I was terrified by this person’s downright horrendous strategy and not picking up the coins
Finally someone who speaks the truth
The real scariest part was how he didn't go in a row with the pea shooters
yeah bro not picking up the coins is scary
Always place 2 rows of sunflowers!
But there wasn't any need for the coins, and he focused more on adventure.
Honestly what's so touching about this creepypasta is the fact that the even though we can see that the mother's spirit is angry at the father the main emotions the mother shows towards the son are fondness by giving him another chance at the level and sorrow for not being able to spend more time with him. Not even all the suffering from being trapped in a game was able to break the mother's love
aww
Creepypasta that only has "you play it, you die" or "just being scary" is old, stupid and lame. This right here is a real creepypasta.
The question here is...how many chances would she give to her child?
@@theepic1944 Another great example is Godzilla NES Creepypasta. There is also a good story and so many factors making this pasta good
It reads specifically like this was a game that meant a lot to the two. Like, the child introduced her to the game since it was something more her speed visually and gameplay wise, and the two were hooked on trying out the different challenges. (From how she plays, she seemed to like the idea of I, Zombie.)
For her to cling so tightly to the game, it would have to have meant a LOT to her, and being a major anchor of bonding between her and her child seems like a big factor in it.
It seems like it's even reflected in how she renders the zombies; They look freaky, sure, but they don't look that bad compared to the normal ones. They look like they were drawn from memory. She's not trying to be scary or imposing; she just isn't quite getting the hang of the state she's in.

No random jumpscares, no screamers, just a mother missing her family... this was actually a really nice watch, i wasn't expecting this.
This is unironically the best take on Deadplants I have seen. I love how it isn’t some “oh this game scary and is coming to kill me”, but is instead an unfolding story about a deceased mother reaching her child for one last conversation.
It's kind of like those paranormal investigators entering some kind of haunted house or whatever building it is now, and actually communicating with the anomaly that's trying to talk to them, it's something like that.
I more like in this thing that it is not trying to be "creepy". It may also seem like a modded version. Just bad modded. And thus, it doesnt make the pmayer an idiot that instead of deleting this damn scary game keeps playing it, even though HE said that this game is very strange. This game opens up at the end. And that is cool, in my opinion.
I feel like the mother’s spirit simply wanted someone to talk to, so they could finally find some form of peace. To me, the game crashing after the white peeshooter fades away shows that her spirit was finally able to move on, thus the game she was modifying crashed.

I'm pretty sure the story is this:
A girl Dinara plays a version of plants vz zombies, there are many glitches and bugs found out to be by her dead mother. The mother is dead because the father joined a war (possibly the Cold War based on Zomboss's hat), at first he protected the mother and her family but eventually left them to die, the mother is vengeful and wants to get back at the father. When Dinara plays the possessed PVZ game and the mother apologizes for never being there for her. By playing the game Dinara frees her mother and the family from being trapped in the game, (the family members are on the tombstones).
Although apparently its Vibing leaf playing the game instead of Dinara, unless Dinara is Vibing leaf/let Vibing leaf have the footage.
Also, as a massive Horror and PVZ fan I can confirm that this is absolutely terrifying
Vibingleaf's Nick. Not Dinana.
The spirit is reaching out to someone she thinks is Dinana when it's Nick.
Oh so it’s like Ben drowned or the 5 missing children thing from fnaf?
Read the description guys, vibingleaf isn't anyone in this video.
"Nick" clearly states that he feels like the game was meant for someone else, he was the one playing it, maybe the mother did not know it wasn't her daughter and tried reaching out.
i wonder what would happen if you busted the graves...
I love how at the end it’s like, “invalid file,” to appear like the version was outdated and unplayable, and this ghost in the machine was like, “No.”
I also noticed he said the it seems the game was for someone else, implying that this mom ghost didn’t realize this wasn’t her kid.
@@Godyeater damn, she did all dat just to not even see her child again
Yeah that’s what I thought to she may have realized it wasn’t her son or she may have passed on idk
I think that when the file became unplayable, the spirits were freed. The grey peashooter seemed to represent the mother, and there were other grey plants, implying the presence of other spirits within the game. I think that because they beat the game, the last level fighting Zomboss, it freed all the spirits trapped in the game and destroyed the program. It's sad that it wasn't really her daughter though, she was probably just holing it was without really knowing who she was talking to. But still, they seem to have been freed anyways, and will hopefully see their kids in the afterlife when they too pass on one day. That's going to be one awkward family reunion!

I love this interpretation of the Deadplants creepypasta. Instead of your average 2013 "ohhh noes my pwant is vewy scawwy im scawed they gon kiww me" story, this version is about a copy of the game in which a deceased mother and her family members are trapped in. The mother and family are represented by the Deadplants that appear as zombies eat the normal plants. The family was probably left behind by the father during a war and left to die. And the anomalies in this PvZ copy is her trying to reach out to her child one last time before moving on in the afterlife. Although the mother is still angry at the father for leaving them behind, the love for her child has not been broken, seen as her giving the player a second chance.
I don't really get the abandonment part because if they died in the that war and he fought in that war, then wasn't he actually putting himself on the line to fight for them?

BIG THEORY TIME: At 10:05, "He left my family to die all for a stupid war" is referring to Crazy Dave abandoning his family and letting them get killed and eaten by the zombies before taking shelter in a new house to fight the zombie armies (Crazy Dave’s namesake insanity was likely caused by a combination of his guilt and the war itself. He likely killed himself before the events of this copy began which is why we never see him.), setting up the events of Plants vs Zombies. Notice that the woman we see for a split second looks like a zombie. The spirits of the family members (the woman in the case of the white peashooter most likely) are represented by plants because they are still good natured, but their bodies were transformed into zombies when they were eaten. Also that the Zomboss was the woman’s zombie body and that destroying it finally allowed her soul to be free (for the sake of this theory souls are essentially trapped in zombie bodies). She wasn’t truly free until the end, when the woman sent all of the zombies left to be freed by the player (who is a character in the PvZ universe that works with Crazy Dave and is likely Crazy Dave’s son here.). On the name its simple, the deadplants are the spirits manifesting as plants “like the white peashooter.”
I think it has something do with a war in the real world. One with the russians.
.
The part where Dinana said "He left my family to die all for a stupid war", i was thinking more that the person was referring to an armed conflict in Eastern Europe at around the mid 2010s, not some in-game lore schism becoming real

8:27 The way Dinana places a Peashooter right infront of the dead Peashooter is such a cool way to represent that her mother is dead and her child is still alive, if that was an intended little detail
Yeah it’s kinda wholesome
i thought it was because the dead one looked like an enemy to nick
“Oh, hi mom!”
Maybe intended, but the description and the text across the video indicates that the one playing is not Dinana
"It was intended for someone else"
@@Mortimer_RSthe one playing is nick
I really like that this retake makes the story of the original creepypasta less "Holy moly! My game is haunted :0" to something that actually makes sense, it makes the story even more interesting.
This video is honestly beautiful, I hope someone makes a modded version of that last level because it looks like a lot of fun.
This was really good got me in the feels great work
love how sunflowers are basically unable to stop smiling so they made the dead sunflowers just literal sunflowers
The mother doesn't even wants to kill the player, she just wants to play with her child that she won't see again, because she doesn't have the time to play with it, so sad man. I thought it was something like those creepy VHS videos but no. I love this videos.
This seems like something toriel would do.
@@therealestcupheadonyt Yeah
Why is the mother a he?
@@Saturdayyyy typo oof
Not trying to be a grammar police but...
There is a "his" word there, hope you can see and fix this.
0:35 "ЭТО НЕ НОРМАЛЬНАЯ ИГРА"
должно о чём-то говорить
The scariest part is that in the beginning he put some sunflowers in the Front
Bro copied a comment and didn’t we’d know💀 just kidding it’s just inspired
@@dydan25do you have like alzheimers or something that is literally you
@@dydan25dementia
the only thing scarier than the video itself is his gameplay
😂 he puts his sun flowers in the back and puts cherry bombs in the middle lane. 💀
@@-Puppet- stfu about back sunflowers, bro not everyone wants to use their sun producers as a meat shield 🙄🙄
@@bea-bo4032 nah man you be wastin space for offence when you put sunflowers at the back
@@CashierNubLiterally everyone who first played the game put them in the back, even the game tells you to put them at the back. Plus, I suck at that strategy. And I’m pretty sure people have beaten the game doing the sunflowers in the back strat the entire time.
@@drxtale9446 i've always put the sunflowers in the back and win everytime easily, i don't really know why put them in the front too
this is creepy but at the same time its heart breaking, the player loses and the mother gave the player another chance as if the player is her child
because the player IS her child, thats the entire plot of this retake
@@mistorbear no??? she thinks the player is her child (dinana). the actual player is nick
@@mioko5679 oh
fr its like "oh you fell? come on get up you cant walk on your first try you know that right?"
It's interesting how increasingly unsettling the zombies become simply by increasing the size of one pupil
The war that the mother referenced was probably the Chechen wars, and how most of the family members died was probably because it all happened in the 1990s, many people in Russia died during that time.
I think the interesting part is the representation of the father of very clearly Russian origin, and a military member at that, being the villain in a horde based survival game where the villain sends waves of mindless soldiers to die against a wall of enemies. Something Russia was very fond of
IS very fond of (and yeah, I want to believe the war is supposed to be Russo-Cechnyan one)
As a Russian, im offended
@@mosseater486 do you know about war in Ukraine?
@@Maty-tc1ms yes and im not proud of it
@@mosseater486 and do you live in Russia?
This has gotta be the best way to make PvZ truly scary. This is pure nightmare fuel. If this is what I actually played through my childhood I would be traumatized.
bro you actually got scared from this? like am not saying its bad just that its not that scary to be honest
@@cumcollector5701
different people get scared by different things IG. I find analogue horror like the mandella catalogue super terrifying while it doesn't affect my friends, at the same time my friend find silent hill and resident evil to be scary while I don't.
@cum collector Eh, horror is a very subjective genre. Personally I found it interesting and slightly unnerving, but not exactly "scary". Though everyone varies.
@@slicklyndon1756 its just that i was slightly surprised to see that ppl got scared from it, bc i went in blind and didnt really find anything actually disturbing or unnerving like you said, the only part that got me even slightly anxious was the zomboss robot part bc of the music but thats about it.
When i was 7, Pvz gave me nightmares, once i got to the night levels, so i can assume that showing this to a kid is a very bad idea.
My 2013 ass would be scared all night then telling friends in school
9:22 Your father once told me. "some sacrifices has to be made"
Holy crap. A deadplants in 2023
You’ve always found a way to make anything sad.
I love how this video doesn’t rely on cheap Jumpscares, it relies purely by imagery and atmosphere
Witch doesn't give me scares honestly
This creepypasta have fire music in it
It doesn't provide jumpscares or is only focused in creepiness, this is actually playing on emotions. This was well made and the representation went great. And the final theme was just too good.
This is SO much more adorable then creepy.
I love the fact the mother wanted too see her daughter.
This shit depressing as hell especially when you realize the mother didnt actually talk to her child but a random guy named Nick
And if her child seeing/playing this, how would they feel like? Sorrow? Depressed? Beloved? Unknown i guess
I really didn't wanted to judge someone but, after all, I feel bad for her and her child.
@@PumpyGTi like to think that their daughter was already done with the game, and that the spirits are already freed.
The game just happens to replay the events again.
that sent actual chills down my spine, the gameplay, the lore, everything, not to mention the zombies look like actual real life zombies if they ever existed, the story about a deceased mother and her child, is something i never expected
scariest part is the typo at 8:00
" это конец , удачи " Now it’s clear why this English video is in my Russian recommendations
jeez the effort in this with using an actual modded copy is insane, extreme props to you vibingleaf
Edit: now having watched the whole thing i love every part of it, and the fact that the cause of the game to glitch isnt evil nor wants to hurt anybody is an adorable twist on this generic pasta and i am all for it
Fun Fact: The Peashooter that stands there in the darkness is actually the original concept art for the game.
@@poweroffriendship2.0 huh. didnt know that, neat.
Unironically the best glow up of a creepypasta I've ever seen. Also I *need* the music used for the ending section, such a powerful way to emphasize a mother's final goodbye.
