Does merge in turn not imply that they should merge in turn i.e at the back of the queue, as their turn was not at the front of the queue where they merged. I totally disagree with bottlenecking at the very point where the lane closes as this means traffic has to stop to let impatient people in.
At 6:24 - that police car is in the right, and I'm surprised there weren't MORE cars waiting in the left lane, since that is what the Highway Code instructs you to do. Zipper merging / merging in turn at the last minute from a closed lane is correct practice.
Yeah looks to me like Jamie is drooling on the steering wheel like a fucking tit. Quite clearly a zipper merge, and they've been shown time and time again to reduce congestion when people actually have a brain and use them correctly.
I just love it when someone sends in a clip intending to expose the wrong doings of other drivers only to find that it was the contributor who was in the wrong. Wouldn't it be nice if these sort of contributors came forward and admitted that they were wrong and that they had learned something from posting their clip.

he seems to have the mindset off "I'm a HVG driver so I am in the right. I'm going to rag it and if I hit you, its YOUR fault." And he seems to always be on his phone, can often hear him talking to someone then yelling "f-ing stupid wh--e" in polish when the accident or near miss happens.
As a retired driver I even had cars hit my truck whilst parked. Trucks are invisible to some drivers.
He is clearly a low iq psychopath that trives on creating dangerous situations for others and reports them to the police himself.

So much of the footage shows the dashcam users to be in the worng. Just having a dashcam doesnt mean you're not also part of the problem; driving too close to the vehicle in front, going too fast for the road conditions, poor obvservation skills, incorrect use of the horn, aggressive behaviour etc.
Some driver are 🛎️ end. They just drive like maniac because they want something to put on yt and blame another people for their mistakes 😆
So many of these are actually avoidable by the dash cammers
6:29 ... isn't it right to merge right before there is narrowing? At least in my country it is. It's because drivers should use zipper at one spot, it's impossible to maintain traffic flow when someone tries to merge 100 metres ahead of and another 1 km ahead and also to use full capacity of the road.
This. Exactly this. Unfortunately the UK Highway Code doesn't quite make this clear enough, leading to everyone making up their own interpretation of the rules.
Lot of cammers, while they may be technically in the right, escalate situations which increases risk for everyone around them. I have to say I've been down that road too ( pardon the pun) ,but am trying to live the Ashley Neal code now...

I drive safely but sure if I'm on a country road, super straight, great visibility, no one else around, sure, I'm gonna have a few goes at seeing what the car can do. My car is way faster than me, I just enjoy how easily it does things, taking it to the limit scares the crap out of me tho so I don't really push it. If I had this car when I was 17 I would be dead but I'm all old and sensible now.
It’s a megane 225... although a classic, it can’t be putted about. Drive defensively, you can’t tip toe around all the time.. it’s only an “insurance write off” because they’re probably on the cusps of classic and valued too low..

@6:15 The police car did as you are supposed to. Use both lanes until the point of merge & then merge in turn. If everyone moves over leaving the left lane empty then the tailback would be twice as long & cause more traffic problems behind blocking other junctions etc.

Yes, it was a stupid and dangerous overtake, but cammer could easily have made the situation a non event. #85 As soon as the clip starts my first thought was following too close. That's why you should leave a safe space in front. Yes this was a brake check gone wrong but if cammer had left a safe following distance this couldn't happen. I would be interested to know who the insurance found at fault, or if it was 50/50.
1:46 #5 - there are 2 lanes on the exit you were taking, maybe staying in the lane you'd been taking for the rest of the roundabout and not moving over until you were clear of the roundabout may have been a better idea? Really have no idea why drivers drift over at the point of exit, there is no other purpose to there being 2 exit lanes!

if a roundabout has no arrows, what lane can go to that exit? its lane 2 and this is a correct way to take a roundabout.
When taking an exit to the right or going full circle, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise

Number 3 @1.20 there was a pedestrian waiting to cross at the crossing and you didn’t stop. Shows how thick the smoke was not to see her waiting.
A lot of the incidents here look to be a lack of situational awareness, I watch these in my lunch break and my colleagues often look over my shoulder and 9 times out of ten we can predict what's going to happen. And I dare say that some percentage of the cammers do seem to either speed up or make an effort to get into some kind of trouble

#20.... no, you could not have argued that the car could have "moved over a bit to let the cyclist pass". It was busy, traffic was flowing, and there was not enough room for the car to move over. Cyclist didn't leave enough room to stop, when the car had to stop.
Agreed, the cyclist was behind the car, why should the car move over to let the cyclist pass on the left which I though wasn't allowed?
I am never sure what response is expected when someone blows their horn at a person who may have made a mistake. We do not have any "My apologies for being a human" signals available to us. So @ 8:35 what communication was expected?

41:27 #87 the driver could clearly see way up ahead that the other driver had made a poor exit and was struggling to clear the junction. What does he do? Modify his speed accordingly to avoid the hazard? No, of course not. He maintains his speed and, just to prove a point, he even moves out in an attempt to block the other driver's only opportunity to move off and clear his way. What's that going to achieve other than cause both of them to stop, block the road and inconvenience himself, rather than accommodate the unwise manoeuvre, let them get out of his way and continue on his drive with no delay. It's almost criminal idiocy, and he has the audacity to send in the clip probably thinking he's demonstrating the other person's poor driving. No mate, you are the poor driver, the other driver merely committed to an unwise exit, while you totally failed to respond to a developing situation in an even vaguely appropriate manner, choosing instead to exacerbated the situation. That's how road rage and collisions occur. D-. Not an E, because he failed to cause the potential collision.
I've noticed that 3/4 of vehicles aren't equipped with turn signals on them on the 2020 cars/trucks. LOL

They're there for a reason. The curve to the left means that cars entering will look, see nothing there then start moving and oops - there you are because you didn't slow.
I actually think that was quite a nice interaction between the bloke and the yank lady. She doesn't deny that she can't drive and they both wish each other a nice day.

I’m with the police car at around 6.26. The signs don’t tell you to move over, they warn you of a lane closure up ahead. Most people choose to queue early and cause a tailback.

The police car in the merge lane was in fact correct. In this situation, the merge line should be full of traffic, which should shorten the whole 2 lanes of traffic (the point of merge lanes) and then it should be merge IN TURN at the pinch point. Why do soooo many people not know this and get the arse-ache when people attempt to merge CORRECTLY. Or, even worse and completely retarded, attempt to block the road to prevent people using the merge-lane. So many muppets.

The first clip is by Audley End house near Saffron Walden. Turning out of that side road is a bit tricky. If you are turning right, because you approach the main road at and angle it can be difficult to see over your left shoulder.

#85 wasn't a brake check - it was an insurance scam. Those particular ones were rife for a while when the car in front would brake suddenly on the sliproad so that the car (or in this case lorry, I would imagine from the angle?) behind would slam into the back of them since everyone is accelerating to get on the motorway. Then they claim that the car behind rear-ended them and get the payout. Sucks for Scammy McScamFace that the dashcam caught it!
Why do people who get out of their car to confront someone always do a little door open, followed by closing the door, and then reopening it a second later? They all do it, and it's really weird.

I never antagonise other drivers. This could be another Levi Belfield, or Wayne Cousins in the car you are gesticulating wildly at. They will think noting of grabbing a hammer 🔨 and braining you! Belfield was a car clamper and Cousins was a police officer. So i let them cut me up, and wave and smile. It’s hard to be angry at a woman who isn’t swearing or peeping her horn. I haven’t biped my horn once sing getting my car 3 1/2 years ago! I had to check this afternoon where it was! Don’t drive angry, it isn’t worth it.

#2 - I don’t know about buses everywhere in the UK but the ones in Manchester have a little sign on the back telling cyclists not to overtake them from the left
Although as far as I know it's not law for buses to display such a sign, the one in this clip does, it's the yellow one which is correctly placed on the left hand side where a cyclist can see it. Some cyclists leave their brains at home I think with regards to going up the inside of buses and trucks.
Yes, but the cyclist was in a cycle lane and has every right to pass the bus. The bus driver should have checked his inside mirror.
@@gollum0472Yes the cyclist is right to be in their lane but when the bus has a sign on the back saying not overtake from the left as it’s a big vehicle with massive blind spot (especially since the steering is on the right hand side of the bus) and on top of that there’s a bus stop on the left that the bus will most likely stop at (which it did end up doing) the cyclist should have stayed back just in case the bus was going to pull over and wait for an opportunity to overtake from the right side of the bus.

@@gollum0472 No, because that never happens to anyone turning left, if a car wants to turn left they will use their common sense, stay in the left lane behind the bus and wait for the junction and then turn left - all whilst staying behind the bus because there wouldn’t be any overtaking. Buses don’t drive in the right lane if all their stops are in the left lane, and they stay left anyways because they’re slow moving vehicles. I’m guessing you aren’t from the UK cause you don’t seem to know much about how UK roads work - we drive on the left side and overtake in the right lane (if there is a right lane)
