His voice was really a gift from God, he knew it, the world and the industry exploited him 😢
So many people failed him but his voice never failed him!
That was the one and only time Elvis ever played the piano while he sang. One of the guys said they had no idea he could play the -piano like that. He was the most beautiful man, the most talented man, the most misunderstood man, and the most misused man. He deserved much better than he got.
He wasnt playing the piano sorry to say. The very last second when he raises his hands the piano carries on!
@@plymlets I think he’s playing but the recording does not match the performance. The singing doesn’t match either if you look closely. But they have matched up a good performance with good video.

He played the piano all the time, just didn't play live very often. This was him really playing, the reason that the audio is off is due to mixing amateur footage and sound. Presley enterprises expressly forbid the live recording to be officially released. Reason was that they did not want the world to remember him like this. this footage is amateur footage.

Just finished watching the new movie and parts have me chills but nothing was as impressive as this
Saw the movie yesterday in a theater. It went by fast! There was a standing ovation in the theater at the end! I'm still crying over it.

No, it's heartbreaking but at the end, you'll notice someone else is singing the high notes as he lets out a little growling/grunt noise. Someone else also accompanied the piano as you can see he stopped playing before the piano "roll" at the end. He died either within weeks or days after this so we're actually watching an almost-dead man. To think people around him let him on stage is horrific. I watched this concert and he was forgetting words or singing the wrong ones and instead of using the floor mic. stand he has someone standing beside him reaching over and holding the mic. in his face. It's my opinion he's there to steady Elvis should he become off balance, for me to even have that in my mind instead of simply being entertained shows the sorry state this gentle soul was in. Why did this happen to this gifted man?
Because he believed he was OK. All his Memphis Mafia people, his cousin, Billy Smith, and others tried and tried to get him to get help, but he refused. He actually fired Sonny West, Red West, and Dave Hepler because they were too insistent that he needed help.

I Have Always loved Elvis since the first time I heard his voice and saw his Handsome Face. He can Never Be Replaced and No One Even Comes Close to His Singing or His Good Looks. He was Handsome and Sexy until the Day He Died and went to Be with The Lord and His Momma. I get goosebumps listening to him singing "Unchained Melody" at His Last Concert. He poured his Heart and Soul into Singing that Song......it was like He "Knew" that He wasn't going to be around much longer. I will Forever Be His Number One Fan from Ohio. I saw the movie "Elvis" last night. Austin Butler (as Elvis) started out performing this song, then it switched to Elvis's actual performance, so sad. Especially knowing it was Elvis' last.
That was a nice touch how they did that switch. Amazing movie.

Elvis Presley died when I was nine years old but I still remember it like it was yesterday I remember my dad Being so upset and my neighborhood Cannot remember any other celebrities back then but I remember Elvis what a impact he hade on the World
I was also 9 years old when he died. I’ll never forget it. I was at a pharmacy with my mom, when the muzak on the store’s p.a. was interrupted by an announcement that Elvis had been found dead of an apparent heart attack. I heard several people in the store start crying out loud, while my mom cried quietly and said “I knew this day was coming soon”. I too remember it like it happened yesterday.
My sister and I watched the Elvis movie together and the end for me was so unexpected when it fused over to Elvis in person. My tears just flowed. I’ve never had a reaction like that to a movie but I loved Elvis. We grew up with Elvis. To see him so sick and singing and playing his heart out and sounding so beautiful just touched my heart…. I so much want him to know he wasn’t forgotten, he will be forever loved and how blessed we were to live in the time of Elvis.

I didn't live during this era at all. But I cannot watch this performance without weeping uncontrollably. I don't have words to explain the sorrow I feel when I listen to this song. His voice is still as strong and compassionate as ever. I really don't know how he made it through without passing out. Every time I watch this, it hurts my heart cause I know he was so very sick. He loved his fans and entertaining so very much, he never gave a thought to himself. He is absolutely the very best entertainer to ever be born. There will NEVER be anyone else to fill his shoes. Just hope and pray he us now at peace. ELVIS, you will always be in our hearts and souls.

Sean Fitzpatrick I am a German Lady and 73,5 years old. I loved him since he came to my Country and had every Rekord he ever made. I must agree with you that he did not sing this to well. But it's understandable since he was not doing physically to well. To think back on his glorious times makes me sad that he messed his life up so bad and paid a high price for it. We will never forget him. Nobody can ever take his place.
@@heidehilbert9085 thank you for sharing I know Elvis in his prime in the early days he would have done a much better job on this song when I say okay Elvis was not at his best here most people think talking bad about him but that's far from the truth I love Elvis and hate to seem like this I prefer the young healthy Elvis from Kid Galahad the early sixties when he was vocally and physically at his best in his prime he could sing anything a man of many great voices and I loved him since I was a little boy but I'm not afraid to say he's not at his best here but he will always be my hero thank you have a blessed day

You can hear how breathless he is here. The opioids were affecting his singing. I personally think Elvis changed musical history and was the pivot for rock and roll. GREAT musician but not here. Very sad.
