I have the same spec arriving in a couple of weeks which is how I found your review and it is by far one of the most in-depth ones I have seen for this car! Most reviewers glimpse the IS because it is “dated” but quite frankly it is misunderstood!
This is a badass review, but you constantly threw out so many important details on its specs and that shows you know your stuff. A lot of the information you provided on this act answers so many possible questions. Solid, solid analysis and review. Good 👍
Rivals are definitely not "$5,000-10,000" more lol. This is significantly more expensive by all counts for what it delivers in terms of technology and power.
Regarding how it compares to the BMW 3 series and Mercedes C-Class (not to mention the Audi A4, Genesis G70, Infiniti Q50, and KIA Stinger GT), I would say it all comes down to price, or how much you can lease each one for. If price/lease were the same for all cars, then I'd probably go for the BMW or Mercedes.

MSRP for a BMW 3 or Mercedes C300 is 2 to near 4k more, feature it up and it will cost around 5-10k more with similar specs as the IS 350 F Sport

bmw and merc have turbo it is diffrent driving.lexus good at high rpm what about power at low?
The power is good it will get up and go but the dynamics are a lot different due to the suspension, this to me changes the feel.
