I think that Rocksmith is a great learning tool for anybody that already has the "want to" for playing guitar. I'm a guitarist of over 30 years and I still like using Rocksmith to "game-ify" the process of learning a song. You had the drive, and I think that was the main ingredient in your progress. Rocksmith just provided a rigid framework for your learning. Your original song shows that you learned beyond that rigid structure, and you internalized the concepts that it was trying to teach you. Great job on the song, and enjoy your newfound talent on the instrument!
Great video! I love Rocksmith and while I agree it wont't teach you to play guitar fully, it is a really awesome tool to keep you motivated and have some fun. Loves your commentary and seeing your progress. Hope you stick with guitar!
i started playing rocksmith 5 months ago first 2 months i had learned one song fully then realized i was on lead tried rhythm got into that and started doing the spider walk exercise and that made everything click i can now play 15 plus songs at 99 accuracy both rhythm and lead and can now download a song i want and get 80 in a bout two trys im not the best but im trying to get there and am glad i gave rocksmith a try
just for him to teach you the chords, and increase your agility and notion of each fret is already a big step. Because that's the most boring thing at first, and learning by yourself is boring.
I have been playing guitar for over a year now and started off with rocksmith. The game is brilliant and definitely reduces the learning curve. The chord zombie game and star chords are perfect for learning and practicing chord changes. However, you have to augment your learning with reading up on theory as well as watch video's which there are a ton on youtube (if you can get through all the ads). The game does not teach you strumming and rhythm. Luckily they are some amazing channels that teach you them. Guitar theory can be very enjoyable once you get through the basic's but you always need to push yourself. For me this when you can call yourself a guitarist or say that you can play guitar. I want to master it before I say that I can play guitar which keeps me motivated, not to mention playing all of my favourite songs that I always wanted to play. So good luck on your journey.
That’s pretty much how I started playing guitar last year. However I decided after one and a half months, that I wanted to take lessons and I couldn’t be happier that I chose too. Having someone look at your playing and giving you tips on improving your play style is really helping a lot. Anyway great video. I hope you still have fun playing.
Very thorough overview of Rocksmith. As someone who learned to play guitar from having it around all the time and just fooling around trying to be like my older brother in the mid 80's, Rocksmith looks overwhelming to me. Your commentary was amazing, and if I was considering purchasing, would consider your words worth their weight in gold. Your song at the end is 👍
Great video man! It blows my mind that between 2-6 months you could compose your own song. I've played for about 1 year and I'm self taught and you've sold me on getting rocksmith to practice the fundamentals more and have some fun!! Keep up the great work and stay rocking!
THE SOLO WAS EVERYTHING As somebody that'd been kinda half-assedly learning guitar for a year this is very inspiring and motivating. I have Rocksmith and use it occasionally but this video reminded me that if I use it more often I'll get more out of it. Im definitely gonna be picking up the game again tonight to hopefully see the same amount of progress as you did in just 2 months.
I just bought an electric last week, I had an acoustic before so I know one thing or two but like some more advanced 'proper' guitar techniques I don't really know of this video was really inspiring for me, I personally have real difficulty with the 'higher frets' (12+) and with some more fast solos I'm seeing the game throw at me already. I'm just hoping I don't really pick some bad habits because of it because I don't really trust my ability of seeing such nuances like Mighty did
Awesome video dude. This is the best review of rocksmith. Everyone else has played guitar before and they're just testing out the game more than using as a teaching resource. I have a guitar on order and Rocksmith2014 for ps4 coming as well. I got to your level about 10+ years ago and I've been toying with picking it up again. I've not picked up a guitar since mine broke a decade ago. Hopefully I can get back to the level I was and improve fairly quick. Rock on buddy. 🤘🏻 new sub here 😁
Great video! Great editing, great flow in the video, informative commentary while not wasting time. Really surprised this doesn't have more views to be honest. Keep up the good work!
Cool stuff. I actually am a guitar teacher and I will say that your progress for a few months playing was pretty solid. I would say however that your progress probably came more from the consistency of practice than Rocksmith itself. You'd be surprised on how many people opt to "learn guitar" but then don't put in the time needed on their end. That being said what I like about Rocksmith is that it makes those intial stages way cooler than I often can when talking about technique and the like. I think guitar teachers in general don't value things like Rocksmith enough for that. I had a student come in once and say "I played Rocksmith for like 4 hours the other day; is that a good use of my time?" On the one hand, sure Rocksmith isn't the most effective way to learn a song or some techniques etc. but who could be mad at a kid working for 4 hours on something.
What would be the perfect system for you? Rocksmith making partnerships with real life instructors so the instructor would organize what the student plays or something like that?
you did great, being a guitar teacher, I can confidently say that you've progressed enough to be considered good for 2 months. The bad news is guitar is an instrument you can't learn and be done, it's a way of life and you learn in for ever. But that's me, take care buddy and stay practicing!
You do online lessons? If not whats something you recommend all new guitarists to learn first? I tend to have trouble actually applying “lessons” to playing especially if I’m just watching a video with no actual feedback.
This video is amazing dude! I've been toying with the idea of learning using rocksmith for years but keep putting it off due to self doubt, cost & other factors but this video has kinda made me wanna buy a guitar and learn now using rocksmith.
Damn bro your song is bad ass! I’d 100% add it to my daily driver music playlist. I’m very much considering using Rocksmith to learn to play. Honestly for the price it’s kind of a no brainer to at least give it a try.
Congrats on getting your own guitar! It seems like Rocksmith gave you some fundamentals that will help you better understand other resources. I hope you keep playing!
He had fuwa fuwa time. Also this game is how I learned to play guitar. I’ve been playing in a stage for almost 10 years have started several bands and teach lessons. This is probably my favorite game of all time.
Nice job man. I've been collecting guitars for years, and I'm still not as good as you are now. Lol! Keep moving forward. Even if it is just for yourself. You're officially one of those cool fucking guitar guys. Congratulations.

@@MightyNifty I've been trying to get into it off and on but always kind of falter out after 30 days, so it's good to know that there is some natural plateau that you have to push yourself past. I'm not sure what it is myself, but the next time I try again I'll try to see why I end up losing interest. I'm not sure if you might have some more general thoughts on keeping up with it? I will say, because it's the easiest song in the default lineup and the song I start with every time I pick up the game again, I do know Blitzkrieg Bop pretty well lol
I'd say to try the lessons if there's something not working quite right or feeling awkward, just Google the issue or look up UA-cam tutorials. Also, using the riff repeater to slow down songs can be helpful since actually learning a song all the way through is great motivation (and don't go by Rocksmith's difficulty since that's all kinds of messed up, just search for 'easy guitar songs'). Oh, and try out some alternate lead/rhythm arrangements. Hope this is helpful!
@@MightyNifty I'll keep that in mind the next time I give it a shot again. There is something to be said about being able to ask someone questions though, so lessons may be needed in the end. Thanks!
I've only played a handful of Rythum based games. Two as being both Guitar Hero and Rock Band. I played Crypt of the Necro Dancer. That technically wasn't music based. But you still had to cordnate your moves and abilities to the beat of the background music for percisifnise. The one I played the most is unrelated to those games. But it's Geometry Dash. You pick a level and you start. You play a block that requires you either to tap your Android or mobile device to jump and avoid hazardous walls, spikes, pitfalls, etc. Or if your playing on PC, you just press a button to do all of that. The real neat thing about Geometry dash is you can design your own levels and Download any music you think works for your level. Just don't do it on Android or mobile devices. It's rebust, doesn't have good access and it's harder to get wifi on. I recommend the PC version if you're going to do it. I don't think I'll be revisiting Guitar hero or Rock Band again any time soon. I really can't go back thinking those games are going to be antiquated and ain't going to stand toe to toe with alot of Modern games coming out now. Still they were fun for the time. I might give Rocksmith a chance. But I still wouldn't play it that much. I've actually thought about a series you should cover on your channel. This would be my fav game ever. Mainly the first one. Have you played any of the Dead space games? I think the first one's easily the best out of the series. Dead space 2 was good. But it constantly uncharted. Everything's scripted. Dead space 3, I think you know how most people feel about that one. I enjoy aspects of it. But to say the end product is less than stellar's a bit of an understatement. Two games I'm hyped for is The Callisto Protocol. That's being done by Glen Scofield whose a producer on the OG Dead space. The game's trailer has references to Dead space. The other is the Dead space remake. That's the main reason I think you might want to do the Dead space series retrospective. Have you thought about doing a Dead space series review?
I've been playing for 20 years and still can't play Main criticism of the game is it seems as though they put the low strings on top - and AFAIK, every other standard puts the high strings on top, so transferring is going to be a bit annoying.
Great job dude!! I have this, but I have gotta get back into it. I got discouraged but I had no time discipline with interference with my job and my own business plus gym and powerlifting/bodybuilding competitions. No I have to get back home and load this up today, pull out my guitar and work at it.
You havent learned to play guitar buddy. There is no musicality in your playing at all. Maybe taking a time to play songs by yourself(without rocksmith) would help to tap into the feel of the music. You have no rhythm yet. Rhythm is first thing you need to develop the sense for. But the song in the end had everything a musician need to be. I dont know how you did it.
Hey, Pal. Could you share some info about your in-game expertise? Did you really advance through all of this like the author of the video? How did it eventually work out?
The content looks exactly like the 2014 version. They just slapped in a new UI and charge monthly for software as a service! Just purchase the 2014 version and own it.
Man, got into Yousician first, then the Gibson app. And then Rocksmith. I couldn’t do Rocksmith after my brain had learned sidescrolling tab. But wish I could do it, it was a polished game.
Here's an even better piece of advice. Ever heard of a musical ear. Will when you learning the fret board and understand how when and why. Then your ear will carry you through the video and you will k kmow the beats instead of you just watching and not knowing the song. Thats the reason you need guitar lessons. Strumming picking sore fingers and are all party of playing smoothly. I noticed right off the bat your holding the guitar wrong. Your arm and hand is all in the wrong place. Your left elbow is wrong as well. When you knkw how to address the guitar your accuracy will be better. Your fret buzzing will stop and your learning will turn into appreciation instead of complaining. There's no short cut to music. You either want to learn or not. I'm not being a hard ass. I picked up my first instrument at age 59. Never played or song a sang in my life. Like golf lessons can save you a ton of money on loosing balls. Get a guitar teacher. Learn to read music. Not numbered music. Sheet music. Your first song should be twinkle twinkle little star. And silent night. Followed by ( study ) your first classical song. There's a main reason for this. Christopher Parkinging guitar lesson vol. 1 You will thank me later.
I cant' say the same... Its more easy to practice with guitar pro. And also learning songs. Rocksmith is a game. You have to look the screen to play a song. You can't remember how was a song when you turn off the game. Because you don't have any assistence and you don't have to memory nothing.... When you able to play 100% at difficult wich is a normal time song there a fucking massive notes at screen and colors and shit aroun the entire screen... It's more easy no to look at screen and just play some by memory. Also I tried to start from 100% dificult a few songs i ready know the intros and want to play more about that song.. it was impossible to pause see what notes you have to play. because game its just colors hiting the screen with a few number and then it doesn't appear any more... and when you go down at difficult they ELIMINATE NOTES!!... It's more fun to play guitar hero.... as a game. More easy to learn a song using guitar pro. but rucksmith for me it's too much on screen and dons't have the tools for porper leraning songs. Maybe it's funny when you know a entire song just to practice as using backing track.
My son just gifted me a e.guitar for Christmas, almost 18 years after I bought one for him (when I saw he has a musical ear and talent ), and I bought Rocksmith many years ago. Is this one of mine 2024 resolutions, to learn to play a guitar? I think so . . .
I started playing electric guitar after a 7 year break from acoustic playing. My first song parabola by tool I learned with the help of an online tutorial and after that I got rocksmith. The thing I recomend using is the display all notes mode and just slow down sections to learn a song. By now I would say Iam an intermediate player mostly self tought so yeah good piece of software. Also a little hint there are a bunch of tricks to improve lag you can read up online and as far as I know is that singlecoil guitars get picked up worse then humbuckers
Great job. I got RS2014 with the intention of going from cowboy chords to doing the face shredding that I like to listen to. I also like the mix of genres they have. The techniques they want you to learn are confusing for me to watch fly by on the screen. The issue I have with the technique arcade is the calibrating. No matter how long I bang on the strings, the game cannot hear my guitar. Yes, I had the knobs all the way up, by testing with my amp. Great video, and glad I am not the only one with issues on the side games and technique signaling.
Interesting. I agree with your statement, it teaches you to play rocksmith. From the videos I have watched I do not see it showing the 5 scale boxes, major and minor of each box etc, instead it just teaches you to regurgitate what you see on the string without understanding why. But with that said, you could still impress your friends if you played the stuff you learned on it. Now, could you pick up a piece of guitar TAB and play what is in front of you after RS?
No theory too in RS2014, but nothing beats an actual teacher as they can see bad habits. I’ve been using RS since it’s originals list as it’s one of the best way I learn along with Guitar Pro as it’s more of a game which makes it’s easier for my brain to process things.
Anybody know of a young person trying this? I am thinking of giving Rockstar to a child that is turning 10 yrs old as a birthday gift. Thanks for any comments!
I literally used this for 4 years and 10 years of playing guitar I still use this but I usually watch a UA-cam video while plugged into my rig definitely glad I have it a chance when I was 14
You should work on loosening that right wrist a bit, and you'll gain A LOT of speed and will be able to play for a lot longer (if your fretting hand allows it, of course ^^)
Wow, amazing video. I'm struggling with which guitar to buy for this game. I really like acoustic guitars and all the songs I want to play aren't so much rock and roll. There are a couple blink-182 songs that I would try, but mainly Jack Johnson, Dispatch, and some country songs. Would an acoustic electric guitar suffice. Or should i use the microphone mode with just a normal acoustic guitar. Or just listen to your advice and just get an electric guitar. Thanks!
Thanks! I think as far as guitars go, real tone cable is a must. Acoustic electric could work for sure (for a beginner I'd suggest a lower string height to save your fingers), though you can play an electric without plugging it in too, it just sounds different. Rocksmith doesn't have a ton of acoustic songs out of the box either which is a shame, but honestly any guitar with a plug should work fine. I only suggested electric for finger pain, but if you enjoy playing and have the will power, you can push through it (it's not as bad as everyone says). Hope this helps and best of luck!
I started out with a acoustic with a piezo pickup, but it had a hard time detecting the tones. And as noted it's absolutely murder on our fingers. If you can get a electric guitar it's a much better experience.
Well done video. I've never tried Rocksmith, but I've just ordered it; I'm an intermediate player, so curious what it's like. An interesting take on learning from the perspective of someone who's never played guitar before. Some of the things you say are "skewed", but not "wrong"; they're just the way students make things harder than they actually are. Ultimately, as we all learn, it's the practice that makes you better, even if you don't know what or why you're practicing at first. You definitely progressed far in just 2 months; again, as we all eventually learn, that's all down to interest and effort.
Learning to set up my guitar properly (from youtube tutorials) cured many of the problems I had previously assumed were just my beginners ineptitude. Learn to adjust the string intonation at the bridge and make sure your pickups aren't too high. Also tune the guitar using the mini tuner in the pause screen. The full page tuner at the start of songs is actually quite inaccurate.
tbh its meh for 2 months, guitar is out of tune or youre not placing fingers right. practicing few basic chords with transition would gave you better results
I find getting a guitar with a lower action helps with the finger issue, first tip, for learning guitar. Thay way you can play for longer, it's easier and also your fingers hurt less
I bought a guitar 1 year ago and only learnt the basics and a few riffs. I hope I can change that now when the steam sales drop and actually learn a song.
Just got my first guitar. 31 years old. Got a Gibson Les Paul Studio. I cannot wait to start learning with Rocksmith and then moving on from there. Realtone cable comes in tomorrow!
@@mrtechit101 I brought a US Stratocaster and used the money I spent on it as incentive to get my moneys worth. Not only can I play now but they guitar is now worth more than I payed for it.

I’ve been playing Bass for about 30 years now, and I love Rocksmith. Like you said it’s definitely even better with the custom songs. For someone like me who’s older, and left behind the days of playing in an actual band it’s great since you’re playing along with actual music. This may or may not apply to you so much as to people new to playing since this video is about a year old. Don’t put to much into the difference between a Squire and a higher end Fender. My son who has been playing for several years now has 4 guitars 2 of which are Squires (a Strat and a Tele), and he loves them both almost as much as his older $600 Ibanez Jem and his Les Paul Custom. If you really want to get the most out of a Squire take it to someone who knows what they’re doing and have it professionally “setup”. This can make a huge difference in how it sounds and handles. Maybe even drop in some “used” Made in Mexico Fender pickups (which is what’s in my son’s Squire Tele), and some better tuners, and for a couple hundred bucks you’ve made a huge difference in that Squire for a lot less than buying a “higher end” Fender.
I got rocksmith for Xmas years ago and found it to be buggy and clunky. Then a free copy of of 14 was available on ps4 and found it to be better but still kinda buggy. I think it was my console causing lag or something. Just got a ps5 and better TV and will be hopping back onto the game to see if it is better.
Inconsistency in learning and playing is certainly not the fault of the game, it's a normal thing and happens to everybody, no matter which way you learn. Playing great and having everything come easy and then having nothing work out the next day is just something that happens, I don't think someone has ever figured out how to prevent that!
After a failed attempt at learning with the OG Rocksmith about 10 years ago (I was skeptical about the 60 day promise and it affected my drive to continue), I bought a new guitar and 2014 Remastered and am starting from scratch. I'm surprised at how much I remember, and how much I don't, lol. But most importantly, I'm already on day one having more fun than ever, and I hope it sticks this time.
Even a year+ on youve managed to inspire me to try learning guitar again. I definitley feel rocksmith could help and i hope to be as good as you someday
Rocksmith is great at teaching "chops" and you can learn to play existing songs encoded in Rocksmith's format, but it doesn't teach anything about music theory or reading musical notation so you'll have to look elsewhere if you want to be able to write your own music. If you asked whether I regretted buying the original and the Rocksmith 2014 versions, I will always answer "No". I agree with the video author that it's a great START to becoming a full-fledged guitarist.
Really great video!!! I am in the same dilema. I think I will still practicing with rocksmit 2014 in order to improve muy skills, maybe in another 1 year rocksmit+ will improve and it worht it. Thanks a lot!!! Great song by the way!
Nice video! I found the game itself very frustrating, even using an external 2i2, took a lot of dialing in to get RS to 'hear' every not clearly. What I will say to anyone thinking about learning guitar using RS is to definitely supplement with another learning technique - I'm a PC guy - but I found out that Garageband on Mac has a tutorial and I've learned heaps using it!

i started playing rocksmith 5 months ago first 2 months i had learned one song fully then realized i was on lead tried rhythm got into that and started doing the spider walk exercise and that made everything click i can now play 15 plus songs at 99 accuracy both rhythm and lead and can now download a song i want and get 80 in a bout two trys im not the best but im trying to get there and am glad i gave rocksmith a try
just for him to teach you the chords, and increase your agility and notion of each fret is already a big step.
Rocksmith with a instructor seems the best of both worlds!
Your song at the end is 👍
This was a really well-made and interesting video!
P.S. nice Dearly Beloved
edit: i now have a new favorite song
Thanks so much! 😁
Great video man! It blows my mind that between 2-6 months you could compose your own song. I've played for about 1 year and I'm self taught and you've sold me on getting rocksmith to practice the fundamentals more and have some fun!! Keep up the great work and stay rocking!
THE SOLO WAS EVERYTHING
As somebody that'd been kinda half-assedly learning guitar for a year this is very inspiring and motivating. I have Rocksmith and use it occasionally but this video reminded me that if I use it more often I'll get more out of it. Im definitely gonna be picking up the game again tonight to hopefully see the same amount of progress as you did in just 2 months.
I just bought an electric last week, I had an acoustic before so I know one thing or two but like some more advanced 'proper' guitar techniques I don't really know of
this video was really inspiring for me, I personally have real difficulty with the 'higher frets' (12+) and with some more fast solos I'm seeing the game throw at me already.
🤘🏻 new sub here 😁
Metal Method will teach you how to play the guitar, and once you buy it, you do not have to pay for lessons, it's yours to keep.
Great video! Great editing, great flow in the video, informative commentary while not wasting time. Really surprised this doesn't have more views to be honest. Keep up the good work!
outside resources and practicing on my own are definitely things that helped me get to where I am. been playing for almost 9 years now. rock on man 🔥
Got himself a six string, bought it at the five and dime.
He played it till his fingers bled, was the summer of 21
Keep going bro! Guitar is a lifelong pursuit and you’re off to a great start.
you did great, being a guitar teacher, I can confidently say that you've progressed enough to be considered good for 2 months.
Learn easy songs. Learn to play chords of a song in rhythm and sing along.
Did no one notice the persona 5 music in the background?
That was great... Did you learn theory no, but you did get a new hobby and you got good at it.
That was a good fucking video
This video is amazing dude! I've been toying with the idea of learning using rocksmith for years but keep putting it off due to self doubt, cost & other factors but this video has kinda made me wanna buy a guitar and learn now using rocksmith.
go for it men, the game costs a few buck and you can find a nice squier for around 150 buck or less used
Damn bro your song is bad ass!
It's surprising how good this game is at teaching people
"ROCKSMITH DOESN"T TEACH YOU HOW TO PLAY GUITAR - IT TEACHES YOU TO PLAY ROCKSMITH." THIS INFINITY THIS.
Very good, informative video. Congrats on your progress. Btw, the ending was cool AF! 😂
Nice job man. I've been collecting guitars for years, and I'm still not as good as you are now. Lol! Keep moving forward. Even if it is just for yourself. You're officially one of those cool fucking guitar guys. Congratulations.
🏴 Great 👍 video 🙏 I 🏴 just 👍 got 🙏 a 🏴 guitar 👍 I 🙏 might 🏴 give 👍 this 🙏 a 🏴 go 👍 for 🙏 fun 🏴 respect 👍 from 🙏 South 🏴 Wales 👍 valleys 🏴👍🙏
Hey bro in case you didnt know. You're a good person! It was beyond nice enough of you to share your journey with us!
Be proud brother!
i always say the best thing rocksmith does is that it gets you playing guitar. it kinda takes the work out of the learning aspects.
Thanks for sharing your journey through the game!
Thanks for checking it out!
Thanks!
Happy to help and best of luck!
Это лучшее мотивационное видео что я видел! Спасибо, парень! Пошел учиться..
Nice job on the song!
For someone that has been playing guitar since 8 years old
I bought Rocksmith just because I thought it would be fun and I hated it lol
I've been playing for 20 years and still can't play
Main criticism of the game is it seems as though they put the low strings on top - and AFAIK, every other standard puts the high strings on top, so transferring is going to be a bit annoying.
Great job dude!! I have this, but I have gotta get back into it. I got discouraged but I had no time discipline with interference with my job and my own business plus gym and powerlifting/bodybuilding competitions. No I have to get back home and load this up today, pull out my guitar and work at it.
In 2024 and 13 years later since I bought this I'm so much better but not great. Now look at Rocksmith+ what a Sh*t-Show.
first thank you for rhis video! RESPECT!! do you think its better buy Rocksmith 2014 now, than R+?
No, you didn’t. Your Zelda theme is out of tune, as are the other songs. Rocksmith teaches you nothing but how to follow the bouncing balls.
Love your song at the end. Just started playing rocksmith, hope I can get as good as you. cheers!
Hey, Pal. Could you share some info about your in-game expertise?
Did you really advance through all of this like the author of the video?
How did it eventually work out?
The content looks exactly like the 2014 version. They just slapped in a new UI and charge monthly for software as a service! Just purchase the 2014 version and own it.
I hate Rocksmith, I can't get my guitar to sync with the Xbox, there's always milliseconds of delay... I gave up
Man, got into Yousician first, then the Gibson app.
You will thank me later.
Hey nice video!! I ordered rocksmith it will be here in a couple of days any tips?
2 years late, but wow this video brought a smile to my face. That solo was nuts for less than a year of playing! Really inspires me to try this out.
I bought this program and my guitar and software didn't have an issue with accuracy. There was no delay. Sounds like your having hardware issues.
That was awesome!!!! Best Video I've seen i a while. Keep on keeping on, you rock!
@@MightyNifty Subbed, thanks!
If you can find a guitar player that can tell you how all the amp settings work let me know. LOL
I find getting a guitar with a lower action helps with the finger issue, first tip, for learning guitar. Thay way you can play for longer, it's easier and also your fingers hurt less
Should have started with the song at the end. That got my attention!
Picked up a bass. Never played before. Wish me luck!
This, yousician or fender play? 🤔🤔🤔
kalm down Kyle glass, thanks for the review!
This was the most well spent money i ever put in a game. Love Rocksmith
Comment for the algorithm god, you deserve way more views. Great video
you can asume that rocksmith is based on guitar theory, or its just a "game", for fun?
I bought a guitar 1 year ago and only learnt the basics and a few riffs. I hope I can change that now when the steam sales drop and actually learn a song.
You can play your favorite song, so that what I could say a good way to keep motivated
i am proof you can learn through rocksmith
Just got my first guitar. 31 years old. Got a Gibson Les Paul Studio. I cannot wait to start learning with Rocksmith and then moving on from there. Realtone cable comes in tomorrow!
Bro really got a $1500 guitar as a starter and a les Paul none the less🗿
@@antibritish_anarchsim1547 as someone who came from playing bass, I appreciate a good guitar over a cheap starter.
@@mrtechit101 I brought a US Stratocaster and used the money I spent on it as incentive to get my moneys worth. Not only can I play now but they guitar is now worth more than I payed for it.
Hey man! Pretty awesome video and effort! Always wanted to try rocksmith to learn, maybe I'll give it a try. Keep up the good work. Hugs from brazil!
this video made my day. I don't know where to start on how amazing you did. first of all, I knew it would be badass bc you mentioned bowling for soup. then your solo at the end was just amazing. I subscribed and followed on spotify. you mentioned you're an engineer. if you're interested in moving to the bay area (or if u live here already) I'd refer you for a swe role we're hiring for! lmk and keep up the great work!
When you do, be sure to jump into the options and look for audio latency. It adjusts the game to your monitor\tv to avoid lag.
Rocksmith doesn't pick up when I play 1st fret E string. I wind up quitting for a while once I get fed up enough.
Do what I do, if you know you’re hitting it right just ignore what it’s telling you and have fun.
That's not rocksmith+. What you are using is rocksmith 2014 edition remastered.
This video was released a year ago. I covered the Rocksmith+ beta at the end. I'll be releasing another video exclusively covering Rocksmith+ soon.
Inconsistency in learning and playing is certainly not the fault of the game, it's a normal thing and happens to everybody, no matter which way you learn.
Playing great and having everything come easy and then having nothing work out the next day is just something that happens, I don't think someone has ever figured out how to prevent that!
Wish it told you strumming patterns
I appreciated the oh kingdom hearts intro.
Where does this plug into in the PlayStation it says guitars with 1/4 Jack?? Thanks gonna go in a few to purchase guitar
It needs the cable that comes with the game. Plugs into the USB port
Duuuude this is so inspiring!!
nice pop-punk song at the end!
Whats that ending song? Ah nice song ya made
Really great video!!!
