That interface is so damn clean., makes me want to buy a piano! I'm glad that RS+ is finally picking up steam.
midi controllers are pretty affordable too. def give it a shot!!
right up until they stole Steam users' money.... I want it to be good, but can't trust it yet.
Don't buy an 88 key. They force you to use less keys regardless for accuracy of notes.
This might honestly give me an incentive not only begin practicing piano again, but also get Rocksmith+
Ive always adored piano almost as much as i do guitar. So hopefully we see more instruments like drums, extended range bass/guitar, among other things. Rocksmith+ is demonstrating it has the potential to be more than just "guitar learning tool/game", and truly live up to its very generalized name.
Great video Chain! Gonna check this out myself now!
Hope you enjoy it! It's really hard lmao
Impressive job. Lots of talent here!
Rocksmith: Guitar, Bass, Piano.
Clone Hero: Drums
dude we finally got rocksmith piano???? i might have to get into rs+ now cause i’ve wanted to learn piano so bad
I can't wait to try this with my piano! thanks for showing us :)
I've always wanted to learn piano as well and have been intimidated by the learning curve.. this video is convincing me to take the leap and jump into learning as this actually looks like a fun way to learn! Thanks Chain!
I took the leap today? how's your progress?
If expansion is the goal then I'm interested to see if they add 7+ string guitar tracks.
They talked about how they are interested in adding drums and I see 7+string guitar and 5+string bass coming first as it's simpler
@@Yu13ohdrums would be sick af but adding more strings to existing highways is definitely more doable in the short term.
I've always thought Rocksmith+ was really optimized for beginners. Glad to see that translates to piano as well, like the piano interface so far.
This actually kinda makes me want to Get A Piano and Rocksmith+ lol.
"Jordan Rudess DEMOLISHES Chainbrain in Rocksmith +"
Need some Children of Bodom on here
Great video. Your favorite key must be C major since you don't like black keys which are sharp/flat octave notes. Rock Band 3 had piano which helped me gain some basic skills to play real piano then my friend who plays piano helped me take things further but my main instrument is bass
This is honestly incredible and I definitely need to get a keyboard now!!
Thank you for this demonstration! Even though I, like many others, might not see eye to eye with the Rocksmith team on how they made Rocksmith+ for guitar, having the ability to learn piano the Rocksmith way really makes me consider subscribing, as Rocksmith 2014 made my guitar learning journey way more fun than it otherwise could have been! The note highway for piano seems surprisingly legible, way more so than I would have anticipated. Really hoping for some rock-esque piano arrangements like Dream Theater!
SARA!!!! What are you doing????
You should put that on a shirt!
Definitely happy to see this update, though not a fan that it's just a subscription service and it's the only way to play Rocksmith on piano. I get why they made it the way that they did, but when it comes to piano, it takes a bit to get going before you get to playing songs you want (unless they make the difficulty very easy when starting out, which, yeah... They really need to separate the difficulty for the "different" instruments). But at least there are many free resources and other programs to learn piano and a nice bonus if you already play Rocksmith+ on the regular
Thanks for the video. I keep getting the emails to try this game. So today is the day. Gonna hook up one of my keyboards and try it out.
Now you have to play Fiction - A7X because you played a piano riff last time
I'll be honest, it looks pretty good
Damn, the interface looks way cleaner than many apps for piano I've tried, tbh the interface looks even better than the guitar one. Might actually give this a shot 🤔
PROFESSIONAL streamer tries SHREDDING a piano gone WRONG
If rocksmith plus adds drums then I may actually get it. I have an old electric drum set laying around that has never been used and I always wanted to try it out.
Can you do Multiplayer in Rocksmith+?
Like one person plays Guitar and one Piano???🤔
Would be cool
There is no multiplayer in RS+, something that we really need added
See I didn't know about the difficulty settings and I keep getting frustrated by how slow it was going on guitar, thanks!
You gotta wobble that key for some vibrato.
What's that wiggly thing on a keyboard called?
Now you can use the real tone cable to connect your piano to rocksmith plus
Ever try Synthesia for your piano? That seemed to be the standard go-to before Rocksmith.
that was metal asf
The piano element is good. What they could do is give a score on left and right hand separately when you do the full piece of music or song. No i am not talking about the lessons that do the left and right separately why? Because you are not used too using your two hands at the same time. What is good is they show the names of the notes in the piano section, they do not do that with guitar, no string notes or notes your a picking when you pluck them. For example they could show all the names of the stings in the far left and when plucking a note - name of the note shown, they could make it into an interesting graphic instead of useless rocksmith logos et al. The songs and lessons are very limited in the piano section though, that could and will be expanded on as time goes forth etc - or it should be. The problem with rocksmith it can overwhelm a person with constant notes coming at you, yes even at very slow pace. Also you at such speeds you have to deal with distorted slow music. Yeah the fan boys say turn off the music but having to do that with every song drives me nuts. Overall its good better than the guitar section and that saying something.
Can it teach you piano? Yes, it can, not like the rocksmith guitar section. I posted years ago that Rocksmith cannot teach you guitar and I still stand by that post and its comments- it cannot. The piano section does teach you the instrument. However it again repeats the same problem of the guitar, it does not teach you tab or musical notes or theory as seen on musical scores. The chord section in the lessons is not very good. My point is do not use this to replace your teacher or your piano books. It is a very good place to start though. The interface is a bit bland though and the graphics are underwhelming. The piano part could show people where middle C is instead of just using C4. I know I am being picky but a lot of songs are played from the middle C range. Also again like other apps the graphic of the piano zooms in on the keyboard and you can find yourself getting lost as what keys to press.
So overall a good start, and maybe the developers could take some feed back from this section to rocksmith guitar and implement it there as well. The note names need to be implemented so the game can teach you them. For the price is you get three instruments and if they add others like drum - i have a drum kit, trumpet and flute. Rocksmith + could add a singing feature as well and that would be great. If they do add other instruments that be a bargain in my view.
Sure you are going to hear this a million times, but Battlefield runs on Frostbite, made by DICE and Snowdrop is an Ubisoft engine. They are not the same, not even related to each other
Yeah I meant to say the Division, oh well
0:57 did you mean Frostbite engine?
So for this can i use a midi controller? I know irs still a piano/keyboard but since it also has a drum pad as well as a handful of assignable knobs and it was made mainly to use on FL Studio.
more piano!
rocksmith trumpet when?
Maybe the next update?
what kind of equipment would work for this? for sure considering getting it and would love a good idea of what i can start with. thanks.
I think any piano / keyboard with midi out works!
if only we could get that drum module mode :P
That would be crazy
Or only play the black notes tends to sound good also.
Piano Metalhead Time
I think I'll keep playing 2014 for guitar but if I get a keyboard with a usb connection I'll try out rocksmith plus, until they get more metal
I just say it on my ps5 and downloaded it I’m upsetiiiii my tracks from the older title don’t come over cool they added piano
HE CAN DO LIBAD NOW LMAOOO
what cord do you need to play?
We need banjo, accordion and bagpipe
Sweet
It's unfortunate that Difficultly is global. I have Rocksmith 2014 and use it for guitar and bass. My lead, rhythm and bass are all different ability levels.
This was fixed in the recent patch
+1 algorithm comment
7 string guitar when.
Funnily enough I played some of the newly added Fear Factory songs and they were in 7 string tuning i.e. play the low 6 of a 7 string and ignore the high e
Per instrument for the difficulty would be easier to see which one you’re on and where you’re at with it
Bah. I can't get my keyboard to connect via midi! So annoying. I don't know if its my keyboard or the cable.
Did you set instrument as piano in the menu? I thought my cable wasn't working with my guitar, but it's because I was set to piano 😂
@@Chainbrain Naw, I was dumb. I've never used a midi keyboard nor the Midi to USB cable before. I had my In and Out lines plugged into the wrong ports. I thought In went to In port and Out to Out port but nope. That's not intuitive at all. It's actually IN goes to OUT, and OUT goes to IN.... I don't know who thought of that design but it made me feel crazy! Haha
Happy you got it!
Anyone having issues to signing in to active subscription on ipad??? I cant sing in after update. Paying such a lot of money. WTF Ubisoft!!!
try signing out of Ubisoft completely in the app and sign back in
@@RiffRepeater i did that first but no help, allso re-istalled the app, no help.
Soooo... eh... I skipped through this vid and 90% of this was a close up of his head.
I don't think that anyone will buy Rocksmith + for keyboard and drums (they definitely will be) because there's already so much free alternatives with unlimited catalogs of songs.
I'll buy it
@@PlanetFinesse Problem is, you don't buy it, you rent it.
I'll rent it @@chelfyn
Lol piano is not easy I played it without rocksmith and it’s just something you need to keep going at
Im upset that is a subscription. Why Rocksmith! Why!
