this video is criminally underrated for how amazingly in depth it is. it looks like you put a LOOOOONG time into this video, props to you for that. sadly it didn't get the recognition it deserves.

2014 looks better than R+. The game is "buy once to own", the cord is a direct link that lets you design your own tone without buying a fuck tonne of gear. Plus looks stripped of features and is a subscription service, I do not like live services.
rocksmith has killed this thing, they are making something called rocksmith plus, they say, to be released this year (2022) sometime.. it will be subscrpition based, something like $99 a year, or monthly plans. I hate subscription based stuff. which is why i suggestyou get your hands on the 2014 addition..

I bought my bass guitar 4 months ago(5 months after buying my daughter her first guitar). We both lost motivation, although we never lost interest. 5 days ago I bought this game and holy hell we cant even play now because our fingers are almost bleeding. Ive learned more in the last 5 days with the game than i Have the last 4 months with youtube videos and practicing alone. I dont agree that this game can a replace a good teacher but I do think anyone picking up a bass or electric guitar for the first time or someone who needs motivation to keep playing, will benefit from this game. 100%
Late as hell but I feel this.Got a new bass and could not put it down. Played so much that my fingers were sore. Just kept playing through it and my fingers got used to it.

man you can get a cable hack to play with any cable and plug your cable into your usb audio interface, it’s a night and day difference, especially noise and input delay
Totally! As mentioned in the video, I tried to set that up but quickly gave up because I already have the RS cable. Its a great solution for those of us with an audio interface, especially long term, but most people dont have an interface and the cost of a decent one and speakers and cables and whatnot far outweighs the cost of a single RS cable. Im sure it sounds and plays better, but thats always the case when you pay more money
Yes! I start talking about using an acoustic at 3:20. I use a mic for mine, but you can also just plug it into the RS cable if you have a pickup on it.

you should try the rocksmith DLL modifier, with RS_ASIO (if you have an audio interface) your delay is gone and it makes the minigames more enjoyable
