Thank you for the video. I sprayed my front turn signals so dark back when I didn’t have turn signals and I recently got them and my headlights working again, now I can actually see them. Thank you for this vid 🤙🏼
Thank you, this video literally saved me so much time. Watching use brake cleaner or goof off was not what i wanted to do. Thanks again!
Glad it helped!
Man this is the best video out. You just saved me a whole time. It definitely worked 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
I'm glad it helped!
Great video I applied my first coats wrong and needed to re-do them this technique saved me.
Thank you sir! This works perfect and quick!
Of course, I'm glad to help!
Best video yet. You did it best 🍻
I messed up my scooter lights with this, this helped me a lot, thanks!
Of course! I’m glad to help out. It is easy to over so it with this stuff so it’s handy to have a way to get it off!
Big help. Appreciate the video
Thanks brother 💯
Bro sick. Thank you
Appreciate this video!!!
Definitely worked!!!!!!
Thank you thank you!!!
Will it come off if theres clear coat on top of the nightshade
This man just saved me $250 your a legend !
How were you about to spend $250????
@@jimmymendoza8675 I was about to buy a new set for my 07. But cleaned them off instead
@@blahblah23061995 ahhh thought you were gonna pay someone to get it off lol
Lmao I’m in the same boat
So I tried it and it worked, then I tried it with a much cheaper paint (wal mart) brand and it also worked. My bet is that the solvent in the paint breaks down the paint and allows ot to be wiped away.
Probably could accomplish this with a much cheaper solvent like acetone...
So this spray tint has 2 Opsion 1 tint And 1 untint Includ 1 on3 spray can ?
Thank god for this video
I'm glad it was helpful!
I have rustoleum paint tint will that work to remove tint aswell?
Does brake cleaner wreck your taillights lens
It's like when you take off caked on whiteboard marker! Genius
Is it also possible to use alcohol ?
Well that works pretty good on a new tail light, what about a seasoned one?
I have done this on lights after up to 6 months. If it does not work for you I would try a paint thinner like mineral spirits.
Genius
Would this process work if you have VHT high Temp satin clear on over it?
It should, if it doesn’t work then use some odorless mineral spirits to remove the clear coat.
Now i know what to do when i’ll get pull over 😂
I got some on my white front bumper and it’s not easy to come off 😢
how do i want to get it..i'm from malaysia
Does this just work for Niteshades? I have Rustoleum Lens Tint on mine.
You can try it, I would think it would work personally.
How long can you leave the nightshade on before this won't work? I have a section of my taillights tinted and want to get it off, but I don't want to mess it up and ruin the taillights.
I have done this after several months of them being on in the past.
@@HaydenCroix thanks heaps. I tried doing it lightly on a indicator but the nightshade didn't come off. Maybe I need to spray more onto the rag before I wipe it. Just too worried about smudging nightshade everywhere!
@@Sirenz187 you need the rag to be very wet/cold feeling to make it work. Best of luck though!
If the tints been on more then 2 weeks will it still work with removing it
Yes
Will this work the same on the paint of the car I accidentally got some on the paint and don't know what else to remove it
I would first try a detail spray and clay bar.
@@HaydenCroix thanks for the quick response
Hey man I actually got it on my car paint and it’s dried. How do I get it off?
Try a clay bar kit and some bug and tar remover
Probably the same method for removing it off your paint. Did you try that?
Is that with a clear coat applied? If not would it still be able to be removed?
This is not but i have done it to ones with clear coat as well. It should work
@@HaydenCroixwould it work with other branded tint spray?
@@topcontentyt8172 it should, it’s really just the pain thinner inside that helps break it down.
@@HaydenCroix thank you 😊
Hey so I got some spray on my actual car as I just wrapped the car with tape can I do this method?? Or is it just the taillights
You can use this on the cars paint as well but I would recommend trying a clay bar first and if that does not work then use this method.
@@HaydenCroix appreciate it boss had no problems with the removal love how quick you respond to old videos like this we truly appreciate it
Will the process still work if this product has been on there for 4 years?
It will just take some more elbow grease I imagine. I have done it after about 2 years, though my car was garage parked
@@HaydenCroix well to be honest it actually been 8 years lol.. I applied it to some clear rain guards that I'd had purchase from Russia.
Does this actually work for headlights as well?
Yes it will.
Well this remove residue from goof off on my tail light? there's a white haze on on it
If you have a white haze your best bet would be a headlight restoration kit.
@@HaydenCroix Thx
Even with the clear? Thanks
If you clear coated over the the VHT use some odorless mineral spirits first to remove some of the layers.
So..we spray a rag with more VHT niteshade, and it'll rub off what's already applied ?
You got it
@HaydenCroix After ruining my taillights the first time, this actually worked and I was insanely shocked. 😆
Worked really well, was able to remove it all and wipe them down with alcohol and start fresh, thanks a ton for this video.
So you remove vht nightshades by using the same vht nightshades made for the opposite purpose?
Yepp
@@HaydenCroix explanation?
@@inhanddeliveriesservices4490 it is because of the paint thinner in the can keeping it a in liquid form. You could also use a paint cleaner if you wanted but considering you likely have left over VHT this is a good way to clean them.
So how exactly does this work? I see it working……. I can see it. Why does it peel off old nite shades?
It’s the paint thinner that keeps it a liquid in the bottle. Really any paint thinner would work, but assuming you still have left over VHT it would be free to just use that if you don’t have a paint thinner
@@HaydenCroix roger that. Thanks. Logical. 👍🏼
What if I put clear coat on top lol😪🤣
That makes it a bit more complicated but I would imagine some acetone would help remove the clear coat so you could get to the VHT but at the same time you need to be very careful of your cars paint as well as the actual headlight lens. I recommend just a little bit on a rag and take your time.
Why use it in the first place, just to remove it?
That’s not the point of this video. But simply some people decide to use it since they would rather not wrap something. And I only did the light to remove it for the video to be informative to anyone else that may need help removing it.
@@HaydenCroix indeed, fair enough. Was just a question floating around in my head is all.
My reasoning is because I’m planning on trading in my car and I want to get as much money as I can for it Lmfao.
I regret tinting my lights 😭 it looks horrible and its extremely too dark. I just wanted a bit of a smoke color
If you aren’t going to do a thicker layer I’d recommend using a tint film. Otherwise with a thing layer it will likely look splotchy
I just installed the nite shade not too long ago and now I have to remove it to pass the inspection 😂 RIP 😅
If you don't go too dark most will still pass you, or at least here in NC they will.
how?
I’m not sure what exactly is going on chemically during this process but somehow it does work and works great to be honest
Anyone know how to just lighten it up a bit instead of removing it completely?
Only way is to remove it and spray less layers next time
Lol, you just failed to realise the simple thing why it removes it😆 It is a solvent that it contains. You could simply try ethanol or use butane to do exactly the same thing.
Just use WD-40
Wait but I bought my car with nightshade on it already 🤣 This ain't free for me
RIP
What in the hell???
Used break cleaner I will never buy that crap again
