@@danranger2821 sounds meh to me, and I really hated shadowkeep but gave it a pass purely because it was a transition point of going away from Activision. So it doesn't sound great to me. It sounds almost like the game going on life support or something.

Forsaken was great because it smacked you in the face with the dreaming city when you finished the campaign. I think that should be the benchmark for all “expansions”. We are ALL tired of patrolling around the same god forbidden destinations. For the love of GOD bungie! Just make two or hell, even three new playable areas! And create strikes/battlegrounds with specific loot that’s mega rare drops from the activities to give some ACTUAL incentive to play them like in taken king. It’s not hard is it? 🤦🏻♂️
Exactly. This would be such a perfect fix, or at least opportunity, to add something with substance, intrigue, mystery back in the game. New locations and strike specific loot would be a welcome addition. I mean how many of you farmed that fallen strike in D1 for the psion class items?Because right now, everything is so outplayed and i have less and less interest in continuing. I don't want Destiny to end. But I'd say bungie should cancel marathon and double down on Destiny. Make pvp good again. Make large party activities like the final shape fight. If they want to keep the planets, and not add new ones or locations, then do something similar to how Fortnite handles their new areas, etc! imo I'm more of a fan of areas like the pale heart, one HUGE area that has a lot of shit to go through, and a ton of collectables, I think having more areas is good but the issue is that they'd be so small that it wouldn't be worth it I feel, unless the aesthetic of it is really really good.

Tbf it's mastermode, putting lack of fun aside, there's *very* little reason to run it at all. Each challenge and a single full run to get the title is all the reason there is to do it. The adept weapons have no noticable benefit in pve, outside of very niche outliers like swords getting slightly higher impact.

This is good Bungie needed to address the community about the future in order to have a chance to save this game, back 7 years ago not to many people know this now a days but The Curse Of Osiris was literally around a week away from killing the Destiny Franchise, Bungie was extremely close to closing the doors on destiny 2 it was the lowest they had ever fallen in this game and Bungie knowing that they had to do something or they were going crash and burn scrambled and actually managed to come back from the brink of death literally days away from the game being shut down.... Basically what i'm getting at is if bungie can come back from a situation like what happened with The Curse Of Osiris which was the closest this game ever came to failing i'm sure they can come back from these current issues and save the game.
The rotator system, as it currently exists, is not good for how many raids/dungeons there are. Those activities should always be farmable, with the rotator system only dictating which of those is pinnacle for that week, with additional drops and higher drop rates on exotics as incentive to be there instead of a non-pinnacle raid/dungeon
The game needs to give all pre-expansions at least in a base format for free. I know too many people who would try the game but would not buy pre-content for this price!
I delt with the bug MULTIPLE times last night. And read that you need to let the health bar get to before passing into the second phase and then the next dps phase do work. For me solo I was able to get it a sliver away from being at the end of second phase. So it’s more just making sure to you get enough damage in for the second phase bar. For at least what I’ve been seeing.
If having all raid and dungeons splits the player base, maybe give people a reason to do the older raids. Every single 'fix' they have is always a band-aid and makes so little sense.

If bungie really cared we would’ve gotten age of triumphs for the anniversary. A giant day one marathon featuring new cosmetics for raids new and old and maybe even get the missing weapons from reprised raids (Athena epilogue, elulims frenzy)
What Bungie should do for the anniversary week is to make the whole set of raids and dungeons available for everyone, so all players, including those who don't own DLCs, have a week to enjoy them as well as unlock prismatic so they get a chance to test it out
Everyone is laughing at Bungie but we need to look at the positives; Since bungie is falling apart internally they have no choice but to double down and re-invest into destiny, really it's a win for us.
I prefer watching Cross Talk about Destiny than playing it or watching anyone play it. The Final Shape was it for me. I’ve got to play Jedi Survivor, Borderlands 2, mafia 2, Ghost Runner, and Bolt Gun, which has been so refreshing.
The reveal for the future of D2 is in DESPERATE need! The issue people are having is the feeling that the talent that brought us TFS is gone, and the vision for the future as of now looks like endless episodes......time to rebuild the hype train. So, if you don't remove the larger platform and it repeats the same side capture circle thing, there is a chance at the end of the capture the node you can shoot off the shield will not spawn. If that happens, it's a softlock. The fix it to remove both large platforms before you interact with the conflux to spawn the boss back into the arena. Easy fix, but easy to forget in running solo, especially on higher difficulty.
Hopefully they add space flight and combat. It would be amazing if they also made patrol zones even more open for all locations. Return old planets like Venus io mars back with their locations.
I used the new exotic auto once. Then I put it in the vault cause it uses special ammo. Would you use an auto with unlimited primary ammo or an auto with special ammo.
I'm new to this game. My first experience with a raid last week was with a bunch of guys who could not stop talking bad about a game they played for almost a decade lol. Im new, I know. But you guys that have been playing for years, are spoiled after, and are not taking in full consideration of how phenomenal a body of work this Game truly is. Us "new" players are thoroughly enjoying this "boring" content. How bout stop complaining and start helping new players enjoy the raids you conquered. How bout take the time to explain to the "new" players that land in your party for anything what maybe they could do to help you before you head to orbit😂😂. Yall really killing your own game. I enjoy it, and I'm the type that will buy shit just cause I like it. Destiny needs more "new" players to come and stay. "New" players should be welcome. When you have a sour attitude when doing your daily routine those level 2,3,4,5,6 gaurdians need some help. The main issue with Destiny is content is very repetitive. So for a new player like you it is fun, and is fun in general. But play that content for years and it gets sour and boring. That’s why people are complaining and you aren’t. You find the content fresh when us experienced players have been playing the same thing for years. If you jump down the hole by climbing up the sphere rather than going up the big slope on the right, you get soft locked by a vex gate. Took me like an hour before i decided to restart i was so confused.

If you send the boss to its final health section by the end of a second damage phase you don’t get the lock bug on the boss shield. That’s the only way I’ve found to avoid it. If you need a third damage phase to get to that small center area “final stand” you will have to wipe and start the encounter over.

The encore bug I ran into is when you die while holding the blue key when getting the first weeks catalyst, you get soft locked into the new area from concerto this weeks version. The one with a red wall ina cave and no way to proceed. I had to make a lfg post and someone joined and did it solo and it pulled me forward.
I dont know as someone who's stopped playing none of this excites me enough to log back on. Will be paying attention to whatever they say about the "future"

if you enjoy that, if you check out in game, and look at the big bright dust seasonal challenge the title of that is a literal rip from the chorus lyrics of the sabaton song 'great war'.
I ran into tons of bugs during the Encore mission. Took me a whole day to beat it once because the shield weak points wouldn't spawn. For me I found the best way to avoid the bugs was to only pickup one module at a time and never pick up additional modules or swap modules to plan ahead. I would never pickup an extra green or blue module on the same turn of a return trip to do the tamper sequence.
Ive gotten to the point where i live the idea of playing destiny, but dont actually want to play destiny. Guess that happens after almost 4k hours and the game itself going to shite. Im still gonna closely follow the game and see where it goes but i dont think om gonna be playing as much as i used to prior to TFS. That could change if they REVERT YAS PVE NERF THOUGH.
The issue in Encore pertaining to getting team wiped for depositing a CONNECTION node too quickly was what I experienced during my first ever play through of the mission. During the Adytum section where you have to run back, I was using Eager Edge sword skating and I was going TOO FAST. I learned that I needed to let the kill wall get to the end first and then deposit it lol.

If you eager edge and grapple your way back from the red mesh chasing you in the first puzzle and make it back to deposit the buff before the red mesh “parks” in front of the door it’ll trigger a wipe.
Man i look at all these future/current Destiny 2 vids and the only thing that comes to mind with a huge fucking smile is Monster hunter wild, GTA6 and a shit ton of free space on my PS5 shit im even looking forward for Borderlands 4 fingers crossed for that to be good after bl3. Not necessarily my friend due to all the layoffs and back in beyond light we had a 3 year road map. The company morale and the community sentiment is at an all-time low again. Nowadays we don't know what the future holds for the franchise.
If you just look at the numbers VS last year or six months you'd see the game is dying since Lightfall. My clan is for the first time in 2.5 years actually dead, so is my friendslist and LFG too.
A reminder that your personal experience most likely differs from that of others. For example, my clan, and the 3 clans I was active in, all no longer play Destiny. That's over 70 people that I know that left the game behind. There actively 1 or 2 people on my friends list who plays. Out of the hundreds.
I don’t understand why with old raids when you have completed them once, you don’t get any loot or rewards. In my opinion we should be able to get spoils of conquest. It add replayability.

Holy shit this community is clueless, mixing up layoffs with Destiny is insanely braindead. The only thing that could slow down Destiny development are people getting moved to Marathon to be able to ship the game, the overwhelming amount of people who got fired and/or moved to a different team under Sony are people who were working on incubation projects that got canned and some community manager people, while Luke Smith and Mark Noseworthy were barely working on the live main game of Destiny (they were working on the third person game). The overwhelming majority of people worked on Final Shape are still in the company, what we need to know is if they are winding development down because of Marathon or not, and if that is the case, who cares? With how many times recent expansions have been delayed, is it not better for there to be a year off anyways (which isn't the case regardless)? If anything the yearly expansion format is bad for the game, big MMOs usually take 2 to 3 years to release an expansion (majority of the timeline for WoW/Guild Wars/FFXIV), first because you might end up getting less content, but also because of the fatigue, it's been 10 years of this, and since D2 release we've had multiple releases per year (starting with 2 DLCs post D2 release then seasons after Forsaken). I just don't understand how people can act butthurt about this, it's a game like literally any other, let them cook.

D1 vanilla vet. I quit D2 in Festival of Cost 2018. And returned at the very end of plunder. I got addicted again. The weekly seasonal cadence was pretty engaging for myself and strand grapple was a game changer. ADS in air was a game changer for the exotic Lion Rampants in TFS launch. And this genuinely was all I've wanted after the red war erased Empyrean Bellicose. But they patched this and almost same breath told us "Tune in next week as we look into providing utility boosts for underused exotics." Terrible, predatory, vindictive management. It's no wonder they want literal children to manipulate into buying their new watered down, trend chasing, DOA slop.

Couple weeks is not enough time to gather data on a weapon that just came out and to start communicating changes. Ammo economy for Choir of One is fine and I agree anything at or above 400 for a special ammo weapon would only start creeping into Trace Rifles however I think a max 350, with reserves, is totally fine. It should be noted that players are using the reserves..meaning without additional ammo one can run out pretty quickly. I was just watching a few streamers using this weapon and didnt even get through half of a raid encounter without running out of ammo. Definitely needs a closer look.

When you started talking about the raiding population I felt so fucking validated. Seriously, trying to fill something as simple as a master SE takes an hour. That’s not a joke. That’s literally how long it takes.
Tbf it's mastermode, putting lack of fun aside, there's *very* little reason to run it at all. Each challenge and a single full run to get the title is all the reason there is to do it. The adept weapons have no noticable benefit in pve, outside of very niche outliers like swords getting slightly higher impact.

This is good Bungie needed to address the community about the future in order to have a chance to save this game, back 7 years ago not to many people know this now a days but The Curse Of Osiris was literally around a week away from killing the Destiny Franchise, Bungie was extremely close to closing the doors on destiny 2 it was the lowest they had ever fallen in this game and Bungie knowing that they had to do something or they were going crash and burn scrambled and actually managed to come back from the brink of death literally days away from the game being shut down.... Basically what i'm getting at is if bungie can come back from a situation like what happened with The Curse Of Osiris which was the closest this game ever came to failing i'm sure they can come back from these current issues and save the game.
The rotator system, as it currently exists, is not good for how many raids/dungeons there are. Those activities should always be farmable, with the rotator system only dictating which of those is pinnacle for that week, with additional drops and higher drop rates on exotics as incentive to be there instead of a non-pinnacle raid/dungeon

I delt with the bug MULTIPLE times last night. And read that you need to let the health bar get to before passing into the second phase and then the next dps phase do work. For me solo I was able to get it a sliver away from being at the end of second phase. So it’s more just making sure to you get enough damage in for the second phase bar. For at least what I’ve been seeing.

The final shape didn't do well because of Lightfall, the delay had almost no impact. People were burned and they kept their money this time.
If bungie really cared we would’ve gotten age of triumphs for the anniversary. A giant day one marathon featuring new cosmetics for raids new and old and maybe even get the missing weapons from reprised raids (Athena epilogue, elulims frenzy)
Age of Truimph in D1 was such a great time. Those raid ornament were peak, I miss my robot legs on warlock.
What Bungie should do for the anniversary week is to make the whole set of raids and dungeons available for everyone, so all players, including those who don't own DLCs, have a week to enjoy them as well as unlock prismatic so they get a chance to test it out

So, if you don't remove the larger platform and it repeats the same side capture circle thing, there is a chance at the end of the capture the node you can shoot off the shield will not spawn. If that happens, it's a softlock. The fix it to remove both large platforms before you interact with the conflux to spawn the boss back into the arena. Easy fix, but easy to forget in running solo, especially on higher difficulty.

The main issue with Destiny is content is very repetitive. So for a new player like you it is fun, and is fun in general. But play that content for years and it gets sour and boring. That’s why people are complaining and you aren’t. You find the content fresh when us experienced players have been playing the same thing for years.

so they are still not fixing the progression bug in encore at the beginning? I've seen no one talk about it but it happened to me my first run. If you jump down the hole by climbing up the sphere rather than going up the big slope on the right, you get soft locked by a vex gate. Took me like an hour before i decided to restart i was so confused.

If you send the boss to its final health section by the end of a second damage phase you don’t get the lock bug on the boss shield. That’s the only way I’ve found to avoid it. If you need a third damage phase to get to that small center area “final stand” you will have to wipe and start the encounter over.

The encore bug I ran into is when you die while holding the blue key when getting the first weeks catalyst, you get soft locked into the new area from concerto this weeks version. The one with a red wall ina cave and no way to proceed. I had to make a lfg post and someone joined and did it solo and it pulled me forward.
I dont know as someone who's stopped playing none of this excites me enough to log back on. Will be paying attention to whatever they say about the "future"

I ran into tons of bugs during the Encore mission. Took me a whole day to beat it once because the shield weak points wouldn't spawn. For me I found the best way to avoid the bugs was to only pickup one module at a time and never pick up additional modules or swap modules to plan ahead. I would never pickup an extra green or blue module on the same turn of a return trip to do the tamper sequence.
Ive gotten to the point where i live the idea of playing destiny, but dont actually want to play destiny.
Guess that happens after almost 4k hours and the game itself going to shite.
Im still gonna closely follow the game and see where it goes but i dont think om gonna be playing as much as i used to prior to TFS.

The issue in Encore pertaining to getting team wiped for depositing a CONNECTION node too quickly was what I experienced during my first ever play through of the mission.
During the Adytum section where you have to run back, I was using Eager Edge sword skating and I was going TOO FAST. I learned that I needed to let the kill wall get to the end first and then deposit it lol.
Lol when cross checked that person that said he was gonna keep his money.

A reminder that your personal experience most likely differs from that of others. For example, my clan, and the 3 clans I was active in, all no longer play Destiny. That's over 70 people that I know that left the game behind. There actively 1 or 2 people on my friends list who plays. Out of the hundreds.
I don’t understand why with old raids when you have completed them once, you don’t get any loot or rewards. In my opinion we should be able to get spoils of conquest. It add replayability.

The final shape has a score of 7.4, and multiple trustworthy journalists with great track records have said the final shape sold less than Lightfall, which sold less than the Witch Queen.

Holy shit this community is clueless, mixing up layoffs with Destiny is insanely braindead. The only thing that could slow down Destiny development are people getting moved to Marathon to be able to ship the game, the overwhelming amount of people who got fired and/or moved to a different team under Sony are people who were working on incubation projects that got canned and some community manager people, while Luke Smith and Mark Noseworthy were barely working on the live main game of Destiny (they were working on the third person game). The overwhelming majority of people worked on Final Shape are still in the company, what we need to know is if they are winding development down because of Marathon or not, and if that is the case, who cares? With how many times recent expansions have been delayed, is it not better for there to be a year off anyways (which isn't the case regardless)? If anything the yearly expansion format is bad for the game, big MMOs usually take 2 to 3 years to release an expansion (majority of the timeline for WoW/Guild Wars/FFXIV), first because you might end up getting less content, but also because of the fatigue, it's been 10 years of this, and since D2 release we've had multiple releases per year (starting with 2 DLCs post D2 release then seasons after Forsaken). I just don't understand how people can act butthurt about this, it's a game like literally any other, let them cook.

D1 vanilla vet. I quit D2 in Festival of Cost 2018. And returned at the very end of plunder.
I got addicted again. The weekly seasonal cadence was pretty engaging for myself and strand grapple was a game changer.
ADS in air was a game changer for the exotic Lion Rampants in TFS launch. And this genuinely was all I've wanted after the red war erased Empyrean Bellicose.
But they patched this and almost same breath told us "Tune in next week as we look into providing utility boosts for underused exotics."

Bit off topic but iv been seeing many conflicting options on this. Will we be geting a reprised raid this year. Some are determining bungie said they are adding one others are saying they said they won’t be. Anyone able to confirm this?
Can't wait for the new LGBTQ character reveal. Destiny's strength has always been its diversity in their characters.

I think people have quit unfortunately but still tune in hoping there will be something revealed that gets then excited to play again.
I'd like to see a few new challenges. Beating all GM's. Every piece of content that is able to a GM in a single season and beating all GM's without a team wipe.
Also can we make it so specific subclasses either add more ammo to their shared weapon type or just grant damage buffs for those weapons so that we can use different leg mods?

You don't have to wipe. All you have to do is deposit the link before you stand on the plate. It works every time for me. But if you stand on the plate it doesn't work
They are so full of it. We could have dropped a 20k TWAB. 😂 They don't have the staff anymore to drop a long article. I also like how they announced that they are not only scaling back content but communication now.
20k words is as long as a script for a movie. I highly doubt that any TWAB can be so much.

@@thomaspeeney5726 yes. if a studio making and financing the game can't do that, the game is over. and people really think TFS was a 10/10, it was quite in line with the other "good" expansions, ain't nothing too crazy

Couple weeks is not enough time to gather data on a weapon that just came out and to start communicating changes.
Ammo economy for Choir of
One is fine and I agree anything at or above 400 for a special ammo weapon would only start creeping into Trace Rifles however I think a max 350, with reserves, is totally fine.
It should be noted that players are using the reserves..meaning without additional ammo one can run out pretty quickly.
I was just watching a few streamers using this weapon and didnt even get through half of a raid encounter without running out of ammo.
Definitely needs a closer look.
It's as if all you streamers are paid by Bungie in advance to drum up interest. All talking about a 'questionable Destiny future' now all of a sudden they're discussing their future

@@aquatic682 not really. The majority of the community was saying it was 'dead' (as usual). All the streamers recently released the same, boring 'what's the future' stuff they always post a couple of months after an expansion

@@jb930 the youtubers and streamers were also addressing the terrible state of the game post a year ago, couple weeks later they like... responded. Maybe.. just maybe they're actually listening to what they're saying? Its a shocking thought i know.
