I play two Gacha's at the moment in the form of DBZ: Dokkan Battle on my phone from time to time and Genshin Impact on console. I'm shocked at how decent it is. Monetization and P2W is gonna be absolutely ROUGH. But as long as I can earn stuff just by playing, I'm interested. There's already some things I think NetEase is doing better than Bungie.
Gachas in my little experience split into 3, you can either earn like 80% of what the game has without spending or you have to be a "light" spender like monthly pass and stuff, the last one is you either spend regularly or you feel like you're missing a lot
@@killerSFA7 just based on the alpha, I'm getting mihoyo vibes. 60 pulls for a 5 star is kinda yikes. But it depends on how available the pull currency is for F2P players. Though, like mihoyo games, additional pulls of the same hero fill out a perk tree that may or may not have really broken perks necessary for a hero to function in endgame content. There's also a ton of worthless throwaway cosmetics to ensure when you are pulling, the pool is really big. Best I can tell, I'm not really sure if it has focusing on banners. It’s a different universe, different story; plus I am familiar with mobile’s game, Rising is not built for a platform that supports high fidelity graphics. seeing all the Destiny elements in different way would just make sense
As much as i love Ghost in D2, im not gonna lie ive always wanted a female ghost. Since my very first steps as a guardian actually. So far so good. Game looks much better than i expected.
Voice acting is a huge benefit to the destiny series, will be disappointed if these AI voice lines arent just placeholders for the alpha. How could i have a real connection to a character when it’s not voiced by a real person?
If alternate timelines are a thing in Destiny, I wonder if we could ever get references between D2 and Rising. Like cosmetics from here getting into eververse.
For me it just shows how good a DLC would be exploring the alternative pasts and futures that were mentioned in the game. Clans should be mini-cities with 1000 members who can buy a base or store to sell drops or trade. Event of clan wars, of building the city with collected materials like the trials of Osiris. There's something that had to come back in Destiny 2, relics and artifacts and instead of giving something for free like it was in D1, I would change the super skills to another set of skills related to the relic. Or even the exotic class items instead of this broken and buggy Prismatic. It would give many more gameplay options with the subclasses and instead of creating new supers, it would give more options for builds. Companions that could help collect glimmer, engrams, ammo, buffs and so on. Like captain Jacobson or Asher as vex, the braytech dog, the baby eliksni, warbeast cabal, the ghost himself and many others that could be. And new weapons types, Crossbow, Heavy canon, shield and more.
I think that Destiny Rising is more like what Destiny originally was going to be during development, a fantasy game, with some things from the original game.
I see his character is Kabr, one of the guardians who got trapped in Vault of Glass from what I remember. Imagine if the character storyline ends with a raid on VoG but it's written in that your team will fail no matter what you do, and you can only leave brief messages for anyone who comes after you. Those are then the messages players would have heard during the VoG based missions earlier in D2. Just a thought.
I remember when there were big plans for Destiny movies, shows, spin off games and other media. Well, this is what´s left of those plans I guess. Somebody will probably enjoy this, even if I don´t get why.
It makes sense now. I did not think Bungie would make something related to Destiny but in an alternate universe. This is more of a prequel to Destiny 1. The heavy emphasis on the Iron Lords makes it apparent. Alternate setting and timeline, but same canon.
Well, so far it’s exceeding my expectations for a mobile destiny as an alpha. Yeah some stuff is jank and the dialogue is pretty cringe, but I expected that from Netease-the attention to detail of the universe and the music is what I really appreciate so far. Right down to subtle details like Kabr’s shield that’s a nod to the relic in his distant future.
They say this game is for potential new players for the main destiny 2 game, I feel like that's not good because imagine a new player playing this and liking it like "oh my gosh, this is actually pretty fun, am I missing out on D2?" and then they play the main game and there's barely any similarity about both games, they'd be like "where's my warlock void super?!"
this game is for when youre on 4 hour plane ride or at the mall waiting for your significant other while she shops for shoes or browse for "one of a kind deals" in home goods , its not the real thing but itll scratch the itch and burn time
the fact you got blue stacks working so well is wild. this game needs a pc client so bad when I'm using blue stacks my controller drifts everywhere when aiming
After playing it for a bit myself, this is feeling alot better then what I thought it was going to be. Can't wait to see how the final product comes out. Also need a bluetooth controller for this
This game looks genuinely fantastic! Coming from a dude thats sunk THOUSANDS of hours into Destiny, Bungie should feel a little embarrassed at all these cool ideas they could've implemented but never did haha. Stuff as simple as 2-man sparrow riding is a breath of fresh air
Apart from the obvious advanced tech compared to the genre (guns, mechs, Sparrows, etc.), the intro feels more like the fantasy style game Destiny 1 was conceptualized to be. Also, Radegast looking like he's Thundercrashing but ends with a Fist of Havoc.

Both games have existed for years and I've been doing everything within these games without paying for progression.
Ummm wait lmao?
Some gacha is optional tu spend money, yes they are predatory but if u don't mind beat the content in hard mode, then u don't have to spent money unless they make certain weapon meta which is the only way player can get is gacha.
@@CarlosHuiskenssame, play a LOT of battle cats and have never had to spend any money
I'm shocked at how decent it is.
Monetization and P2W is gonna be absolutely ROUGH. But as long as I can earn stuff just by playing, I'm interested.
There's already some things I think NetEase is doing better than Bungie.
Having even some form of item trading is just insult to injury over how many things this game does better than either mainline installment
I think it's kinda leaning towards being a light spender, getting the season pass, etc. Saving for banners you care about.
Adding focusing would go a long way in a gacha like this.
Stop. Do not. Why do this to yourself? Have some respect for your own self.
I’m just thankful that Destiny is expanding a little. More media, no matter how big or small never hurts.
not really, this is just destiny but made by tencent with gacha mechanics
@@knightprincess-pq3zdNetEase, not Tencent. Which, believe it or not, is actually worse. That said, the gacha is terrible. Always has been, always will be.
@@RedShadowOfSaturn yes NetEase, sorry my bad

This.
I can only hope once the game has gone gold and is fully released the AI “placeholder” voices are replaced with real actors
The ghost voice over tutorial is what is needed in destiny
3:00 bros drinking tonics irl
On a more serious note, I wish they’d gone for a more stylized art style. It’s a different universe, different story; plus I am familiar with mobile’s game, Rising is not built for a platform that supports high fidelity graphics. seeing all the Destiny elements in different way would just make sense
I think that's what holding the graphics back. Genshin with it's stylized art manages to be gorgeous even on mobile

So far so good. Game looks much better than i expected.

You do realize a ton of mobile games especially gacha are available on pc and mobile right?
Voice acting is a huge benefit to the destiny series, will be disappointed if these AI voice lines arent just placeholders for the alpha. How could i have a real connection to a character when it’s not voiced by a real person?
The official discord confirmed that the AI voices are just placeholders.
Dude the voice acting is horrendous or just plain AI... but the rest of it is definitely on par
I got an email access for the alpha shortly. Really don’t have my hopes up. Not big on mobile games but for my love of destiny I’ll give it a shot.
I got a code and I’ve been enjoying it a lot. Then again, I love gambling, so it’s probably not for everyone

this game actually looks promising I can defiantly see some of my friends who play genshin that would be interested in this game
AH, so it's the first descendant but Destiny flavored
If alternate timelines are a thing in Destiny, I wonder if we could ever get references between D2 and Rising. Like cosmetics from here getting into eververse.
Shaw Han embracing his class as a hunter I see.
I like how kt incorporated later enhancements like the reticle upgrades and such.
It’s the Rings of Power of Destiny 😂
Spot on take.
I think that Destiny Rising is more like what Destiny originally was going to be during development, a fantasy game, with some things from the original game.
these AI voices are killing me >~
absolutely awful lol
Same. Thank God their temporary
"this is a story you havnt heard before"
"And i dont want to"
*Roll credits*
Thanks for putting up a video. I missed the stream. This doesn't actually look that bad. I probably am going to try it after all
Matt mercer as radegast😩
I remember when there were big plans for Destiny movies, shows, spin off games and other media. Well, this is what´s left of those plans I guess. Somebody will probably enjoy this, even if I don´t get why.
Story telling during missions is actually awesome and our character actually talks!
It makes sense now. I did not think Bungie would make something related to Destiny but in an alternate universe. This is more of a prequel to Destiny 1. The heavy emphasis on the Iron Lords makes it apparent. Alternate setting and timeline, but same canon.
I wouldn't be surprised if Wolf gets another damage type later in the story
Being able to play as Ikora is all I needed.
Jolder's design looking very similar to how she looked in Rise of Iron also scratches a super specific itch and I really appreciate it
Cope harder. This is trash.

Bro what the heck this is actually so dope. They have iron lords that I always wanted to learn more about in the game. that's freaking sick
Came here hoping to see my gameplay with you earlier. Apparently I was teamed up with you on your iPad. Very enjoyable nonetheless
So crazy how this game just feels so fresh though. Also feels like maybe a test run for features they’d put in D3?
this game is for when youre on 4 hour plane ride or at the mall waiting for your significant other while she shops for shoes or browse for "one of a kind deals" in home goods , its not the real thing but itll scratch the itch and burn time
Those are the times you should be taking a break and having some human interaction 😅
the fact you got blue stacks working so well is wild. this game needs a pc client so bad when I'm using blue stacks my controller drifts everywhere when aiming
If they make a console and PC port, upped the graphics, adjusted the UI, I think this game could blow up big time!

I like how Kabr's abilities are basically the relics abilities in D2
A gun called the "Right Whale." Sounds about right for what Bungie and NetEase is hoping to achieve with this game.
Pretty sure it’s a reference to “Left Shark”.
Omg you pathetic child. This is hard pass shit. Have some self respect.
This is not the first impression I remember from the stream. 😂
Exotic armor always referred to people from the past. Here you get to play as them so we don't need exotic armor in this game.
