remove the black plastic liner and old sound proofing garbage...cut a new liner out of heavy clear plastic (garbage can liner/mattress bag etc) and tape on with HVAC aluminum tape. When the speed nut clip breaks the plastic tab on the door panel...repair it using JB weld or plastic epoxy glue to fix a metal washer on the body panel which will then hold the speed nut in place.

Man oh man.... I just bought two window motors... Just took passenger side inner panel out, then saw this...I have done about five different models and have never seen a removable skin before this. Thanks for the vid.

Also, have a vacuum handy for when all that door insulation dust comes out. I know this is a rig up, but I'm hoping it will last a couple years. There is a plastic piece that the knob fits in. The plastic piece then rides in the channel. The plastic piece breaks in half, a common problem. To properly fix this, the piece needs to be replaced as this will just pop out again eventually.
How do I disable the power lock. I can't find the fuse. When the car is shut off the power lock is making a running noise and it's draining my battery. Please help.
Lena - It is easy to remove the power plug to the power lock. Take a screwdriver to the top of the housing that the power lock button rests in on the inner door panel, and pry the power lock button housing down and out of the door. On the back of the power lock buttons you'll see the power cable. There is a clip like tab holding it onto the lock. Carefully push down on this with a small screwdriver and the power cable will come out easily.

The arm didnt bend the track slider broke in half, super common, hard to find new ones but there are bmw ones that fit for cheep
