omg i just recently found your channel and im loving it already. i love how you talk and explain things, its fascinating and on point. this is also the first vlog i watched from your channel. greetings from the Philippines 🌻
omg I am so glad that I came across this video! I am Japanese and went to the thrift book store in Sumidaku you were showing us in the video! That place is so cool and I remember I had so much fun there and had a hard time figuring out how to keep the overwhelming joy and excitement to myself because I was alone there! hahaha I am so glad you enjoyed the bookthrifting !
I've been on UA-cam for many, many years, but this is the first time that I'm leaving a comment on a video :) I've discovered your channel recently and I really love your content. Me encantan tus videos de libros y creo que pronunciación en español es excelente :D Right now I'm studying german and french and your videos make me feel motivated, so thank you for that!
You can also call Gabriel Garcia Marquez for his famous nickname Gabo. I love him! Latin American literature is very rich. In addiction to Gabo and Vargas Llosa you should try Isabel Allende and Jorge Amado books.
Y gracias por explicar el concepto de Peter Pan. Yo no vi la película, ni la novela. Pero, tomé el paseo de Peter Pan en Disney World. Es muy divertido!
La novela famosa de Gabriel García Márquez es Cien años de soledad (百年孤独) - 100 years of solitude (not 100 days) ;-) I knew this book a long time ago when I was still a kid. Pero, all I know is its Chinese name 百年孤独, nothing more, nada. I only know it’s written originally en Español a couple of weeks ago when I was chatting with a new friend in Venezuela. So, I looked it up. I think I’m going yo read it one day when my español is good enough.
ahhh omg I can't believe I didn't notice my mistake during the whole editing process so thank you!!! that's so cool that you knew it from such a young age:) tell me what you thought about it if you ever read it!
if you are interested in Peter Pan and J.M. Barrie I definitely recommend watching Finding Neverland, It's focused on J.M. Barrie and where he got his inspiration for Peter Pan, it's an amazing movie! (if you haven't seen It already ofcourse)
it's called infinity books and it's about a 10 min walk from Asakusa! also there's a book I wanna give you so I'll bring it the next time I see you hehe
Alright, now I know where I want to travel to once this pandemic is over 🥲 also, Cien años de soledad by Gabriel García Márquez is amazing, it took me a while to get through since it takes a lot of focus but I would highly recommend (He even regarded his English translation as ‘a separate work of art in its own right’ which I find really interesting)
This video is an absolute delight! There's something very special about second-hand bookshops and it was great fun to watch you browsing. I'm envious!
So happy you enjoyed it!🥰
