Me and my friend hid on a galleon for 20 mins and watched as they loaded all their loot in a rowboat to sell at golden sands on their way to reapers hideout to sell reapers bounties. We were both chilling on the back balcony when another galleon pulled up and started playing music and then both ships stopped to have a party. Apparently this was a distraction because one of their people came over and hid with us while their crew left. There was a weird tension between us now as we both eyeing the rowboat, but he didn’t do anything. Their rowboat was completely filled with chests and all sorts of loot as they continued to move more and more stuff into it, so my friend hopped in and went and started to sell. Then I started playing Punjabi music through my soundboard and exploded their ship with a stronghold gp barrel in the bottom of their ship. This game is great.
I once used that wall hide behind the curtain on a brig for an hour because they were doing an Athena and they marked out the last island on the map, allowing me to see it. And as my luck would have it they also had GP barrels in the crow's nest. I let them finish the Athena. I called my friend online so he could bring a sloop over, I blew up their ship with a GP barrel and kept killing them over and over till they sunk. That 1 hour was worth it man.

I like to pair tucking with burning things on the stove so the victims keep having fires out of no where then when they find the burned food they get mad at each other for burning things
The front of the crossbar on the sloop is the best place to hide on the sloop, as you can tuck right behind the mast and not be seen, and there is basically nowhere on the ship that you can be seen except if someone decides to jump onto the crossbar

I was on a crews boat who was doing an athena quest, and saw some kegs for combat, so once I located the chest after it was hid, I set off a the kegs, grabbed the chest, hopped on to a rowboat i saw drifting, and when i was spotted with the chest on the boat, the ship sunk and i rowed to an island to turn it in. moral of the tale? NEVER store kegs ur ship
5:25 is the crow nest bad? You made a comment about newer players going up there, but isn’t it sometimes effective for spotting ships behind islands/terrain? I am pretty new so maybe I’m wrong, but I like to have one of my crew mates frequently go up there to pan around for enemy ships.
It depends on the crew. My relatively new galleon crew usually have someone up there as a lookout at all times unless we call all hands on deck for a fight or something, although when I'm slooping with a buddy we almost never go there.
make sure noone watching the mast ladder before jumping to it i watch so meny go right to it when im on the wheel i just shoot them or blunder them off.
With the pillar hide it's best to get some of the lay down emotes and in the very front of the bow of the sloop you can hide sideways with a tuck outfit and be invisible
Blurbs do you know if they patched the galleon tuck infront of the ship? You could glitch by walking really slow and then tuck and be invisible. I trolled some kids for hours using this.
Yeah turning off lanterns is a good strat but am I supposed to sacrifice my ability to see so others don't see me I guess you have a screen that actually lets you see at night w/o lanterns Also that doesn't change the fact that people have eyes yes people will need to get closer to actually see you but still turning off the lanterns is a bigger hinderance to me than other players
But if you don’t drop anchor then nosy will constantly move forward unless you drop anchor raise Sail then raise anchor and keep sails up you won’t move
All the swords work exactly the same as each other, so best = what you like the look of. I really think that's one of the best things about the game, that everyone is using equal equipment. The only bits of kit where the variant makes a difference are pistols, as some designs have easier-to-use sights (I use Mercenary, the Sea Dog variants are also good) and cannon, where the muzzle design can affect your vision when aiming (I find Sailor or Sea Dog variants most comfortable, your mileage may vary).

The barrel emote is a good one. Most people have forgotten about it and don't suspect it
Another spot is on the crossbar for the masts because when they angle the masts it moves you with them and you’ll be blocked by the sail

the hide emote doesnt exist in the shop anymore. it wass replaced by the cannon ball hide, which is trash :(

Usually doing crows nest for sloop is best, galleons are the most common ship for people to go up crows nest, on open crew that is

What do you do once you hide on their ship ?
Freak them out by turning on and off the lights
Wait for them to loot and head to reapers then before they get to reapers you spawn kill em and have a buddy turn in all the loot lololol
