Im trying to reimagine some of his albums - Tete de Chou, Love on the Beat, and some of the fabulous albums he wrote for Jane. It's a wonderful challenge, was the Dylan of France for sure!
This was so fascinating to hear.. He seemed so sad. I wish Jane never left him, but she had to do what she thought best for her I guess. He seemed much more content when he was with her. Thank you so much for this translated gift.
Brigitte Bardot broke his heart. He wrote Initials BB in one night. Jane was on the rebound. I met Jane in Melbourne. She was performing at the Concert Hall. I told her Serge would be proud of her. She owes her success to him. I visited his grave in Paris. There were Gaulois and cabbage on his grave. Tête de chou. Chou chou.....
Did you? I'm in Melbourne also! I just did a plain reimagining of Babe Alone in Babylon. Also I have done Tete de Chou. On my channel I redid it as Man with a Cauliflower Head. Working on a version of Love on the Beat and Amour des feintes. All in English, I wish he was more well known and appreciated in English. He is like Dylan, Reed and Bowie all melded together singing in French! Hope your well. Thanks for reading.
@@JeslineDuscheni gold! What music are you working on at the moment? And who are other francophone musos you like/discovered? I tried to reimagine and translate, Francoise Hardy's "Decalages" album, for example:) and I love Alain Chamfort, et bits of Mylene Farmers work
Even drunk he makes more sense than most people!
Thanks for this. I love Gainsbourg, but don’t understand french well, so it’s appreciated when someone uploads videos of him with English subtitles

Grazie per il video, una rarita' che non avevo mai visto. Serge anche quando parlava nella sua normalita' era un poeta.
Great, thanks so much for sharing and also translation, its pretty rare to find translated clips of Serge....
A marvelous man.
Peace and love sweet soul.
The amount of drinking and smoking this guy did was extraordinary
Such a troubled soul. He must have had a rough life.
People , stars back then were more honest , real. Now, they try so hard to look and be perfect that is so repulsive.
Sergey sure does have the stereotypical pronounced Jew profile.
Where is this from !?
it was filmed at Paris, France.
He must’ve smelled really bad
Who cares? He sounded amazing.
I bet he smelled of gitanes, sweat and booze!
I’m English and no fan of the french but he’s one of the coolest guys that ever walked the earth!
