@benmeyers9325 mid for today's performance. Its lap times aren't much better. The TRACK edition has a lap time of 7:54 on the nurberg ring. Kinda yikes when a golf GTI clubsport can do it in 7:47.... it's fine to be slower. I drive a manual. I lose to autos all the time. It's just worth noting that the performance you get for the price you pay is yikes.
@@chilli1695 cool story but Lexus isn’t a brand that you’re paying for performance that’s never been what they’ve been about, the make the best cars, not the fastest, but the best cars, an example is the Camaro SS, horrible interior but incredible price for performance, with a Lexus you’re getting a capable sports car, one of the most luxurious interiors to date, and not to mention while you bring up the Nurburgring, look into Mishas video on the ISF, 5.0 V8 original drivetrain 273,000 miles still able to have a blast on the track without skipping a beat, you’re not gonna find any GTI, BMW, or Audi that can match that, respectfully
I work as a valet and have driven a few RCF's. They are super nice and I'd definitely get one. To me they are one of the best options for a naturally aspirated V-8 engine.
Let it warm further , doesn’t hurt and actually benefits the engine. Note: Fuel trims do not change on Lexus/Toyota’s based on outside temps.. so let it warm 😊
@@spongeborgtheford4971 actually it does. Just because you have oil circulating doesn’t mean your should start driving. You need to wait for the engine warm as a whole then drive. Especially for the v6 cause of how they route everything. Then mostly because of metallurgy. You’ll create more carbon deposits driving it cold anyway. And the rpms are high enough at idle to get everything going. The piston rings is what you want to preserve.
I don't recommend banging off the Rev Limiter all the time. However, for some reason lexus cars just sound so good when you hit the higher rpms and make that guns shot noise
That sounds ridiculously insane. Lexus failed to make very well balanced fast cars, they concentrate too much reliability. But, this car sounds astonishing
Sounds nice i like that and my audi v10 that screaming at 8000 plus rpm sounds sick . I want to drop the cats next. All i did is drop the mufflers and straight pipe it it spunds so exotic i wish it was a rs6 twin turbo v10 though
Imagine only revving to 7200… im just kidding, that V8 sounds amazing, regardless of what car we drive or which brand we think is best. Us car guys have to stick together because soon the roads will be silent and these motors won’t exist anymore.
I just hate the gaping grills…. Otherwise I do like the style of modern Lexus for a sporty, luxury feel. I’m a 93 LS400 owner though, I know where my heart and place in Lexus cars is, I couldn’t afford a new Lexus either if I wanted…
Wrong. Especially for Toyotas( I say Toyotas because they 2UR shares a lot of characteristics with the 2GR). The fuel trim doesn’t change and the rpms is high enough for oil pressure. You’ll actually do more damage driving cold regardless and cause carbon deposits on the top of the pistons. So it’s okay to warm up your car for 5 minutes straight. I recommend 5 minutes for those using race oil and for the peeps that are confer about oil temp.
RC F is an amazing beautiful car, hope to own one someday.
I hope so too!
Me too I was the rcF and is500fsport which is basically the new isF which is what they should’ve called it
