The Pendolino will always be one of my most favourite trains on the UK rail network. They look nice, they’re comfortable and have an incredible story to tell and I think you’ve delivered it perfectly 😉
The Class 390 is basically Metro-Cammell's final great product before fading into the history books. I hope set 390016 can be preserved as it is the last full set to be built in that factory.
I actually work with the service manager from the greyrigg accident today, at the edinburgh avanti depot. Genuinely insane that only one person died in the accident, and even that was cos of complications after the derailment rather than the impact
I still think that Alstom could have manufactured more Class 390 Pendolinos. Including for the East Coast Main Line to replace the Class 90 Mk4 Intercity 225. Avanti West Coast are to introduce the Class 807 IETs from next year as the Class 805 Bi-mode IETs have now entered service.

Apparently Avanti West Coast are to introduce the Class 807 Evero before Christmas I believe. But still I do like the Class 390 Pendolinos.
