Saiyan Raised on Earth's a 1st run and introduction to the 2.0 bodies that're the standard today. The Super Hero version's ultimately the same but just a updated reissue. Bandai purposely did it with the skin tones so the pieces would be unique to the movie figure.
Makes sense! With the loads of other Goku designs out there its hard to limit myself to just one! haha
the colors are also made to be screen accurate to the superhero film, whereas the other figure just gets the general color scheme ide of the character across without trying to really match any specific source material.

Hmm If i had to choose then i would go with the Super Hero version because of the vibrant Gi colours and slightly upgraded facial expressions. However, each serves a purpose being from a different saga of course. The posing part of the review is so cool with Goku charging that Ki attack💥

I have that Goku saiyan raised on earth and his color is “fine” in person on the shelf next to Bulma and Krillin. But I can tell some newer ones have a slightly different skin tone paint. The extra paint shading on the front and slightly more expressive faces make me kinda want the super hero. Idk. The low price has tempted me to get him despite having the oranger one already. Lol
$35 makes it much easier to say, "ok, just one more"!

For me it Super Hero Goku is the best simply because of two things
1: I like the lighter shad of orange on his gi.
2: I always liked it when his drawn with a deep V neck on his gi.

Having owned the Raised on Earth Goku for many years I can say he fits in pretty well with the rest of the line. The Super Hero version is still cool although it was definitely intended for a different color palette and appearance due to the CGI art they decided to go with.

I have Future Trunks, Pan, and Kid Krillin to review. I would love to see some reissues of Android 17 and 18. Beyond that it's about finding good deals, which seems unlikely. Need the classic Piccolo with cape and a good Gohan, but not sure which version. Most of what I actually WANT they never made. Haha

I have the Saiyan Raised on Earth... and if you get the table and chairs set (with food) it has an alternate face for Goku that matches. Son Goku's Harahachibunme set is what it's called, used to be about $35 (as was the Saiyan Raised on Earth figure), but now is higher priced.
Also, the accessory pack: Son Goku's Effect Parts Set Dragon Ball Z, has another face that matches the Saiyan Raised on Earth. This one has not released yet, and is around $38... Amazon or Entertainment Earth (probably other places too)
So if you want either of those accessory packs... I would go with the Saiyan Raised on Earth Goku.

I got that dining set. All last year, Goku was at the table eating in my display. Iron Man was having some drinks and Black Panther was grabbing a dumpling/dinner roll? thing. A found a coffee cup shaped like a toilet. So , all this year, Goku is sitting on it, uhh, unloading.
Black Panther is covering his face from the smell. And Iron Man closed his face mask and is rocketing up and away. LOL
(I put the shouting face on Goku to show the brutality of the dump.) 😆

I like the super hero version as well for basic Goku, better face expressions and have a little of shadows in the paint.
It makes a big difference!
After doing a custom Goku recently, the best in between for either figure is for some reason, the ultimate Gohan in terms of skin tone

What i did was getting both super hero vegeta and super saiyan vegeta and swapped them heads so that i could have a more classic base form vegeta along with my super hero goku. They look great together.

I’ve been collecting this line since it first came out like 10yrs ago or so and man oh man it’s come a long way! Keeping the boxes was practical for me back then when I barely collected anything, but now I just have a closet cram packed with these damn things…
Also, if I’m not mistaken one of these was produced in Vietnam as opposed to their normal production in China. It says on the box somewhere on the front.

Alright here's my conundrum.
I want a Goku with his GI and shirtless in SS 1 (or 2). I got the Legendary SS that just came out to get shirtless. BUT should I wait or get the Super Saiyan Full Power?

I personally perfer the saiyan raised on earth goku for a few reasons
1. It has the happy smiling goku face that the superhero version doesn’t have.
2. The saiyan raised on earth goku is the version that all of the accessory packs are for.
Its for those reasons that i can look past his case of jondis

ASROE Goku won my vote because I found a SSGSS head on ebay and it looks perfect on him. Though personally I'm more partial to his outfit from the Android/Buu Sagas but none of the base Goku figures have that.
We gotta build our own perfect Goku haha
both look great in their own right but SROE Goku has better QC especially the joints but Superhero Goku has better Faces but lower QC since some of the joints specially on the hips are a little loose and I've seen someone break the knee on the Superhero Goku unfortunately.

Hey, I´m getting this one because I am also getting the dinner set. It is my understanding that the faces are not all compatible between them all, so I went for the figure recommended to match the set. Hoping for the best, but the other one seems a way better Goku than the Saiyan raised on earth.

Hey, where I live I can get the saiyan raised on earth for like 20 euro cheaper than the superhero. I could also get the demoniacal fit version for the same price as the saiyan raised on earth figure but it would take like a month and a half to ship, which version should I get?

I have the Saiyan Raised on Earth version since his skin tone is close to the Full Power Goku. Right now I have the Super Saiyan head on that body. The faces do look great on the Super Hero version.

I have both and I prefer the SROE Goku because the figures color is more in line with the other Gokus for head swapping then the movie goku.

I got the Saiyan Raise on Earth version as pre-ordered from BBTS back then for $34 dollar, so there's really no need to get the Hero Goku for me since they are largely the same body mold.

I got the Super Hero figure for Christmas and it’s a really good figure! (The left arm is kinda weird joint wise) but my only issue for it is that it doesn’t have a serious face and only goofy/happy one's

The superhero goku has those expressive line features on the face plates to match the animation style of the movie. Dragon Ball super superhero had a very different style from any other DB movie or anime

I just found the SROE version but there's a decent gap between his eyes. But looking at your video, seems to be the same. From what I'm hearing the 2023 re-release just has shit QC on that particular face. So I'm not sure it's even worth trying to track down a "better" version because I'm not sure it's available. Older versions the eyes were definitely closer but on the smiling 2023 face there's a sizeable gap.

I got a kakashi sh figuarts and i see why people go crazy for these figure suuuuper solid and really robust can hold poses really well and the detail and posing is insane

@@NostalgiaUnboxed like you have a normal ankle tilt side and to side and the usual rotation of forwards and backwarda but where the top of the sandle there another ball joint for extra movement allowing more fluid and dynamic posing.
I want more figuarts but theyre so hard to find i dunno where to consistently find real ones.

From reviews all I can tell, although roe goku is at this point outdated, compared to the new one looks almost like a knock off

I had the SH goku but after a while he gets flimsy and his leg comes off right when you get him, Well that's what I've seen in reviews before I got him. When I got him and his leg fell off on day 2, It can still pop on, But now after that happens, His leg stays lose and pops off when posing. But SROE Goku's legs are tougher, And he feels good, Pretty sturdy. Also the color gives me DBZ first episodes vibes. May I add that he's my tightest figure. And for the features on their faces, I prefer super hero but it makes him look a bit young imo.

Recently just got bftf trunks and he's really loose tbh, He falls apart real easily.
The super hero version to me holds up better next to Krillin 2.0. I imagine the new Yamcha will also have a similar Gi and skin tone. The thing that really sells me on the super hero one tho, is this is what Goku looked like when he fought Frieza. And taking his super saiyan awakening version into account, super hero is so much better than saiyan raised on earth in that regard. The Gi is too dark orange with saiyan raised on earth. The super hero and super saiyan awakening versions look like the same guy, albeit getting thrashed and now having the golden hair of a super saiyan
the only challenge I am finding so far os that the Food Accessory set comes with a face that only matches Raised on Earth which is a huge bummer!
@@NostalgiaUnboxed oh yea I forgot that set had a unique face for Goku. And captain Ginyu came with that scouter head, also designed to be put on saiyan raised on earth version. I might just keep super hero as my base Goku version for my collection and forever keep that scouter Goku head on my saiyan raised on earth so I could always have Ginyu Goku as a figure in my collection as well

Don’t get the Super Hero one. It falls apart really easy and mine had really loose joints that popped off a lot.

I was going to get the super hero version but a saiyan raised on earth is the best because that was the first intro into 2.0. Sadly the super hero one suffers the worst qc issues out of all the gokus do to the mold being old. I believe it’s called mold deregation or degregation

If you like super heros build but sroe's faces and skin tone, get the blue Goku body, literally the skin matches perfect. You get the lower cut gi and more orange gi and it looks more bulky like he's been fighting since 1989ish or whenever it first came out.

If you waited just a couple months the SROE would’ve been restocked and he would’ve been 35 dollars like he’s supposed to be. The figure is reissues like every few months and has been since 2018.
Aside from that SROE has always been my preferred. I prefer the richer, more anime tones on his gi, and the expressions aren’t as cartoony as the movie one.

I definitely prefer the Super Brody version mixed with the Saiyan Raised on Earth figure, since it’s head sculpt is perfect for mixing with these newer figures of Goku

It is important to note these are Goku’s in different points of time. Both in the series, art style, and animation technique.
SRoE is Goku when he arrived on Namek and saved everyone from the Ginyu Force. You can tell by the symbols on the gi, and the chest cut of the orange shirt.
The other Goku is from the Super Hero movie. Goku has the deeper cut gi from the Android saga to current.
Goku also wears a waist wrap instead of a belt in most modern battle ready versions. He wears a belt for more casual situations, but wears a belt exclusively in all segments pre-android saga.

The only way to chose the definitive Goku is Trying to change the head and see in what body the color matches better.
Now that we have the 3.0 Goku it's difficult, but using the 3.0 Goku's Hair on Super hero Goku would be perfect

So, the sroe goku for me is more important, it got so many reisues so its cheap, not only that, but it represents thr goku from frieza saga, that's why it has a shorter blue shirt and inverted boots colors, the super hero is good but doesnt match other gokus, something a lot of fans love, if u want all db versions, pick both, if u want the most iconic, choose the sroe, if u like it more the super hero one, that's ok, and also it seems u got a bad copy, cause the eyes on the smile face are wrong

The super hero versions of goku and Vegeta feel looser than the other figures that ive felt. My goku head broke when i was trying yo adjust his head looking down.

Personally, I'm very much into SROE goku. I have two of them. I dont like the Super Hero version. I would prefer a 3.0 goku base with Z colours like SROE. SROE Goku was based on the Z anime color scheme with early goku art being very yellow.

sroe was normally 35 too and i just prefer the way he looks, but neither one has a skin tone that is shared with any other goku which is annoying. also it's funny that sroe has an instant transmission hand because it's based off saiyan arc and mostly namek (he introduces himself as a saiyan from earth in the saga too) before he learned it, in cell he didn't have a symbol and had a deeper cut gi (and probably different colour boot stripes)

It's funny, a lot of testers say that the Super Hero version is one of the worst versions of Goku in figuarts... So... For me it's simple: the simple fact that it comes from Dragon Ball Super , and even more so the Super Hero movie (which is simply the worst thing we've done with Dragon Ball) is enough for me to say that I don't want it in my collection.
