Oof kinda misinforming folks here. The concept of (.0s) is in reference to the figures body type, which is to say, updated engineering for the articulation. 3.0 are actually in large part the most superior renditions of certain characters and have vastly superior faces that closely match the anime. Price point is another factor, alot of the older 2.0s are being stripped of accessories and getting reworked colors and being released as Entry Level $35 figures. For example anything out now a days thats in the $35 price is an old 2.0 (SSJ Vegeta, Saiyan Armor Trunks, Super Hero Goku and Vegeta) to name a few. The visual example you gave for shitty face plates were from (IMO) one of the worst figures around, The SSJ Cell Saga Goku.

@jakehatred666 I do state the figures body type. You can see the articulation differences in 1.0 to 2.0.

You state 3.0s are "the most superior renditions of certain characters" but I beg to differ.
Anyday I'd pick the saiyan raised on earth goku over super hero goku.
I'd rather pick the 2.0 ssj vegeta over the 3.0 ssj vegeta.
I'd rather pick the 2.0 ssj battle armor trunks over 3.0 ssj battle armor trunks.
The reason why most of the 3.0s are $35 is because yes they are repaints and / or recycled. But that also means you are getting less accessories.
And when it comes to the shitty ssj goku faceplate. It's not the only one, base goku super hero has a shitty face plate as well 🤣
Again, it has nothing NOTHING to do with the price point OR faceplate. The 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 callsigns are all to do with the articulation and engineering. Literally each of the figures you stated (with incorrect names for some, but I digress) are repaints/rereleases of 2.0 figures, not the new 3.0 body type figures. @@Angel-ff1kv

@@Angel-ff1kv You're still missing the point if you think there is a 3.0 body SSJ Vegeta in existence. The $35 SSJ Vegeta with the metalic hair is a 2.0 body repaint of the original. It still uses the 2.0 articulation.

@@Angel-ff1kv the .0s bodys are different body molds with different articulation not the version of the character , for example trunks, krillin and superhero gohan are 3.0s . superhero goku, ssj vegeta, any goku black , bardock (basically every figure) is a 2.0 and that piccolo he has in the video is a 1.0
@lucas8744 I know that .0s have updated articulation later In the years. I just put it like that from an editing standpoint going from 1 to 2 to 3.0.
The 1.0 piccolo is 1st cause it was the 1st figure released and also the 1st of its articulation. And then I went up from that. I even showed the 2.0 piccolo to show the improvement on the new articulation. I wanted to show new collectors the same character but with the new articulation. I didnt care about the date i cared about the numbers and making it easier to spot 1.0 and 2.0 figures. I realize now that I need to figure out the differences between the 2.0 and 3.0. I thought you can tell by the lines above the eyebrows or the less accessories. But some are stating because of the butt piece. But even some 2.0s have butt pieces that restrict the characters movement.
All the figures you showed for 3.0 are actually 2.0. The first 3.0 figure was ultimate gohan, and then im not sure about all the other bit i know beast gohan and orange piccolo were 3.0. You can tell because the 3.0 characters have a sculpted butt, which limits backwards articulation, but looks way better.
the only 3.0s are: Ultimate Gohan, Gohan Beast, Orange Piccolo, SSJ4 Goku and Vegeta, Trunks, Teen Gohan, LSSJ Goku, Mecha Frieza, Kid Goku (GT), Teen Trunks (GT), DBSH Pan, Pan (GT), Gamma 1, Gamma 2, Metal Cooler, Android 19, and Android 20.
Edit: 2nd version Krillin, Turles, Tao Pai Pai, Jiren/Battle Damaged Jiren.
UNRELEASED 3.0s: King Cold, Mecha Frieza, and 100% Final Form Frieza.

My first fig was the boy from future trunks which I bought a couple months ago and ever since then my pockets have been crying lol, also started investing in making some dioramas for the figs ima receive this coming year

This is pretty misleading. 3.0 are typically the best renditions of each character. 1,2,3 etc are mostly based on the engineering not the sequence of release. So, 3.0s have the latest engineering and are as such the best version of the figure. The cheaper versions of the figures sometimes come with less accessories because they are re-releases but are rarely worse than the original release in terms of the figure itself, they are also not "3.0s", I don't think any 3.0 figure has been re-released yet.
The high prices you showed are after-market prices, none of those figures retailed for that much. I think that's important information for new collectors otherwise they might think that $150 is the norm, which it certainly is not.
3.0s being the best version of the figure is up to speculation. It all comes down to preference.
I know that 1,2,3.0s are based on articulation. I show the differences between them all. They are in order by release cause I wanted to?

I loved this video I’ve have been collecting action figures to be specific at first I was collecting super start dragon ball but now I’m doing stop motion with my new Sh figuarts action figures and they are awesome!
What kills me about the new line is that its the Superhero line but Gohan and Piccolo are the only figures that haven't gotten a restock and are no longer available at anything close to $35. meanwhile goku and Vegeta have gotten restock after restock and are being sold in stores all over the place, yet the only decent Gohan we've had you cant even order online.
I remember owning a Beerus Figuarts and Great Ape Vegeta.
I really want other characters instead of the same same characters they make.

3.0 figures are the ones with the weird butt pieces on the back, the 2.0s are like the ones with the little half circle pieces on the top of their legs, like, for example, the first wave of the super hero figures (excluding the 3.0 superhero gohan)
I just bought sh figuarts frieza first form for 80$ was that a good one to start with because I quit enjoy frieza
I also recommend big bad toy store for newer releases
My personally first tip: have money. They be costing an arm and a leg sometimes, especially if it’s rare or new.
I started collecting these cause as a kid I allways wished there were better dbz figures and well yeah. If your my age u know what we went through so now when I see these awesome figures I can’t help myself lol

Just got my first sh figurarts and it checks on buying a 3.0 first. It was the Dbs super hero vegeta and I’m pretty satisfied other than his feet being oddly placed

@@AintNoWayDante1509 nah it’s a good fig the whole 2.0 and 3.0 thing can get confusing at times but to sum it up shortly it’s the mold of the figure not the paint , as time goes on they improve the sculpt and mold of the figure allowing more detail and more flawless articulation

The 3.0s he said are not 3.0s. There still 2.0s, it's just probably a release or repaint. The 3.0 figures like like the 3.0 super hero gohan or super hero piccolo.

@@Angel-ff1kv 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 aren’t for the renditions of characters, but are a way to label the figures mold. As you saw with the 2.0, it has those leg flaps between the leg and the crotch. 1.0 doesn’t have anything in between, and 3.0 has a specific look that I can’t very well describe. As he showed for a 1.0, it would be the piccolo that he showed at first, a 2.0 would be the recently released ssj vegeta, and 3.0 would be the more recent jacket trunks. If you want to have a better visual idea of the differences, you should search them up.
2.0 have 'flaps' that are located on the upper thigh/hip. They can be rotated and give the back of the figure a 'bum cheek' as an example. 2.0's are also softer looking in appearance with certain detail.
3.0's are currently more muscular in appearence and have greater detail in the face (sharper look). You can tell a 3.0 by the face and thigh/crotch area. The crotch has a bigger 'T' shape, no flaps that can be rotated and legs connect to the thigh joints about half way down. Not easy to describe.

Tbh sfh doesn't have that much high quality or muscular on figure and it's kinda expensive for Asia people. I strongly recommend yall try revoltech figures .
My analysis
1.0:pretty don’t need most of them unless u want to spend your hard earn money getting that of dbz broly or perfect cell,or can’t afford the new gohan so u get that old one
2.0:Probably the best era because they actually give u a chance to but most of them
3.0:The ones that are new and affordable so we buy the hundreds of recopies to make us feel better because we can’t afford the premium releases

Um. no the newer face plates are better since they are more anime-accurate. The older faces have an uncanniness to them. Also all the "3.0s" you showed are actually 2.0 bodies. 3.0 is a new body type not a cheaper way to buy existing character.
