I only have one tarantula, a grammostola pulchra called Webster, he’s so sweet, I’ve had him 6 months now and he helped me no end with my arachnophobia. He’s really charming haha. I watched heaps of your videos before getting him so thank you for making me feel brave enough to get the little guy 😊

My pulchra has been in pre molt since December. She holed herself up and keeps rearranging the dirt, luckily she left me a window to monitor. She's like an inch and half, I didn't realize what slow growing meant until I got her.
I can sympathize. My B. albiceps dug in back in November and she's been down there ever since. I can see in so I can see she's fine but holy crap. I would echo your statement..."didn't realize what slow growing meant" until I started with this one.
I love Salem's Plushie avatar. Doesn't look as striking as Pumpkin, but THE MANY DIFFERENT TEXTURES of the various furs are so lovely. Just a wonderful sensory pal!
I have to have a Salem! He is so adorable. The gummy worm feedings are the best. The contrast of the green against the darker Ts makes for a perfect feeding vid.

I have a Grammostola pulchra which I bought from an invert show, earlier this year. I may be on the lookout for another when I go to another show this month in the UK. So that will be fun. I shall try and get a plushie, just it seems to fall on the times I need my money, like for this month's UK invert show, BTS. I am hoping I can try and get one this time. Anyway, another cool video.

I know that many say that Braccys ect are boring but personally I prefer new world to old, I had a massive fear of spiders & it was the pulchra & hamorri that helped me get over it, I love them so much ❤

Those eyes kind of remind me of "Lucas the Spider..." Great job with the plushie.
Beautiful animals, and they neither attack defensively nor run away when they sense your (slow) movement. So you get to watch them and cautiously interact to at least some extent, though Salem is grumpier than most. Did you know - and I’m guessing you do - that “pulchra” is Latin for beautiful/pretty? So the person who wrote their official species description was a fan too and would doubtless have appreciated your carefully designed plushie. I bet there are some good old stories there about discovering new animals in the rainforest; this spider must have been a high point. (By the way, “pulchripes,” another species name, is a composite meaning pretty foot.) I’m glad that your founding male has lived so long, quirks and all.
Hi Kat! New subbie here 😊 my son and I love your channel and love love love your plushies. Sad thing is they were limited and we just found your channel. Is there any way you could possibly do re releases of your plushies?? I mean, they are literally the best looking spider plushies we’ve ever seen and would really make my son’s day to get his hands on a pixie. Blue is his fav color! Oh my god I love the Salem plushy, I've recently recently Pixie plushy and she sits woth my octocat and rainbow sequin sausage dog. Real Salem is beautiful too as they all are ❤❤❤❤

I ordered my plushie! And, today, I went to a local exotics expo, and I came across a g. pulchra. I took it home! And I got the coffin shaped enclosure from tarantula cribs which will be it's home. I'm so excited!

I wish you could bring Pumpkin back for a 2nd Edition run, buuut I'm not going to hold my breath. Makeship not too long ago had a 2nd edition run campaign and I was able to nab some plushies that I had originally missed

I got my first sling recently, also a Grammostola Pulchra. I'm a nervous wreck, so far its doing okay but I can't help but worry. So far it's beautiful and can't wait for it to grow older. I desperately want to know their sex. If female, I decided on Alcina for a name, as in Alcina Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village. If male, I decided on Moreau, also from Resident Evil Village. Thanks for the info Kat!

I’m so sad, my ex best friend ordered me the pixie plushie as a BDay gift. Unfortunately we had a falling out & I don’t know if she cancelled it or anything like that. I’m not sure if I will still get it or not, but I’m soooo sad 😢. I am definitely ordering Salem !! Hopefully I get it though 🙃
