accidently hanging the shelf upside down actually worked out well, because now you can't see the screws unless you get up on a step stool to look for them.
Celia - DIY makeover project looks great, I like the reveal shot!! What a huge space difference from before and after. What a nice choice of tile and kitchen decor, it is cozy, cute and lovely!! When you don't have a lot of sq.ft. you can accommodate, be creative to make it work for you!! Your window is in a perfect spot to welcome plenty of sunshine!!

I love everything you did to your kitchen. I'm surprised you don't have any herbs in your window, the sun looks so beautiful coming in.
That is the first Thing that caught my attention was all the sunlight that was coming in. . It really brought out the beauty of the kitchen to me. . That would have been my cup of tea and my daily reading right there in that spot.

You guys are amazing. Absolutely everyone can relate to 'learning as you go', but not all of us have such a great design eye as you do! I like that you didn't try to match to the countertop, because that would probably have made your space look smaller. Now the counter stands apart and your eye is drawn away from it. I would turn that teapot on it's side, though - show it off!

In front of the window, floor to ceiling, 12" deep x width from left to right wall, wire shelves. Won't block light, much more usable space. Right side wall 4" - 6" deep max ledger shelves, at least three....almost like what is under cabinet spice shelf. No choice but to go up...that's my 2 cents. Great job:)

Thank you!! 😊Yes, just about everyone I know in NYC has a galley kitchen, they are a space saver. And these changes we rather small and inexpensive too! Those bags were actually reusable produce bags! We're trying to make those small sustainable changes. I am truly surprised at how much I am loving the changes!

Big improvement. I didn't think anybody had a kitchen as small as mine- I'm on the west coast (PNW). The hardware on the cabinets made the biggest difference. The knobs and pulls you chose are perfect and add a quality feel. I like the tile too. The shelf lent another dimension and the decorations are clean and comfortable. The rolling cart in black added depth.
