  • Join me in part 2 of my reconstruction of Scarlett O’Hara’s lovebird dress designed by Walter Plunkett from the iconic 1939 movie Gone With The Wind. In this part i will finish sewing the dress together and how i changed the green Christmas decoration humming birds into yellow lovebirds to adorn the shoulder and skirt of the dress.

I loved the music in the background. The dress is scrumptious.

So Gorgeous went beyond my expectations while watching part 1. I don't understand how you don't have more views and subscribers. I usually never really comment except for the very few creators who in my humble opinion should be viewed and recognized. I hope the comment helps.

You truly take on such detail and work with lovely results. It will be interesting to know how many hours it takes for you to physically create the garment as well as separately how many research hours it takes to prepare. The hours it must had taken to do the handwork or each of those sequins is impressive.

the sleeves are only attached at the front and back, I've seen this on ballet costumes too. My only thought is that it gives more freedom of movement being open.

Amazing. What other films were the dresses used. I’m on a mission to track everyone of them down I did see the curtain dress at the Chinese theater in Hollywood. I’m thinking of making wearable modern versions of all the dresses.

Beautiful! Was there a good full shot of this dress in the costume slates? I like how you followed the sequin placements from the red party dress. I never noticed the chartreuse color on the birds so I'll look for that next time. I see you overcast seams also as a finish in some areas vs pinking. Lookong forward to watching more videos ❤
