    hey my clay pot is glazed on the inside, and im afraid cracks will appear if i cook it after soaking it, i just want to treat the outside with something to make it more resistble to water

    I bought this. I only wish that they advertised that the logo would be so visibly noticeable that's etched into the pot. It's the one flaw; I hate it so much.

    I have one with a tap. I need to prepare it for drinking. after soaking it in water overnight and rubbing oil over it... how do I bake it? it's got a metal tap on it

    • @PC-uh6hk
      @PC-uh6hk 7 років тому +7

      Yours is made for keeping drinking water cool and doesn't need to be seasoned on the inside but you can rub a little coconut oil on the outside and set it in the sun. Then fill it with water and set it on your counter.

    PLEASE HELP me . if the vessel is pours, wont that encourage bacteria to grow in it ? (because clay is used as a bacteria habitat in aquariums for example). I was taught to always discard a cracked or chipped pot/cup because the bacteria growing in it could make you sick. is this true?

    • @DanceLeena
      @DanceLeena 8 років тому +5

      No.. its bacteria free..they made these pots from river bed soft clay...they even don't paint it also..its natural color.....cooking food in these pots make food even more rich in minerals, nutritious & delicious too

      Use lemon juice to clean out the smell or u can use tamarind.then wash it.wipe out the excess water using clean cloth ,then use coconut oil on it then let it dry.Then just wash the pot again before COOKING.

    • @ancientcookware9007
      @ancientcookware9007  7 років тому +1

      Hi Veda, cooking in these pots is very healthy indeed. They are made of raw unglazed clay, therefore contain no harmful elements. Glazed pot may contain lead. Also many metal pots either leach some ingredients in the food, or can also change the flavor, such as aluminum does with acid foods.

      Yes Clay cooking pots always better than other utensils because clay cookwares retain the moisture of food and all the Micronutrients. It provides natural taste and flavour of food.
      I am the manufacturer for the clay pots. And I used my own pots for cooking. The taste of food in clay pots is amazing and authentic.
      Please go for it.
