    5.07..wash it with normal soap? The detergent will enter the pores in clay pot and next time when you cook food, it gets in the food. Consuming detergent long term can cause serious illness. My suggestion is to use baking soda or salt or just wash it with plain water and clean with a soft scrubber and once in a while boil water in it with a slice of lemon to get rid of the smell.

If u r having trouble understanding her English than u need to go back to nursery again. Guess yr Chinese schooling was not good enough for u to comprehend others in the world at basic level.

    Hi,
    I have been using a new clay pot for over 2 months after the proper seasoning as per your advise. Yet I can taste and smell the uncomfortable clay. How to get rid of this clay taste completely?

    • @Zishta
      @Zishta  3 роки тому

      soak it in starch water. That may help in removing the smell of clay if its still there. Generally , the clay earthy smell lasts only for a few days and not for months.

      Depending on the source you get it from. The clay may have glaze added to it in the process it will look like a shiny smooth glaze look. This is only to allow it to none stick I supposed. But not healthy for us. Hope this helps

      Hi. No, there is no contamination in the clay ware that is available through Zishta. The soil is one of the best - cauvery delta region. It has been tested for contamination. And these are made without glazing. So given that the soil is the best from delta region and the clay is unglazed, there is no contamination.
      The same has also been verified scientifically and tested in NABL accredited lab and complies iwth RoHS standards.

    I bought an expensive clay pot and followed the instructions of soaking it for 4 hours before use. Also didn’t use high heat as that could also cause the pot to crack. It got past the first use, but still cracked the second time. I’m mega peeved off.

    • @Zishta
      @Zishta  4 роки тому +2

      The process you are mentioning is baking which needs to be done. Glazing is done after that and many a times to give the product a better aesthetic look. Glazing usually closes the pores of the clay and the property of the clay goes away

    • @Zishta

      Hi It is generally the earthy smell or if sometimes the clay has some impurities stuck in the pores - could have a foul smell. We recommend you soak (In a bucket of water add starch water or arrow root powder) it in starch water for 2 days and then wash them well and use. generally this process will remove the foul smell or the earthy scent.
