Few old people say that mud pot should be used for cooking only for 15 - 20 times and after that we have to discard it and buy new. Main reason is that the pores gets blocked because of our food substances so it is no more useful for healthy cooking. When i asked this in FB group, few ladies told me to boil water nicely in used mud vessels and squeeze half lemon while boiling and discard that water. This way the blocked pores will open up.. Kindly comment ur opinion / experience. Thank you

Hmesa Chak pe bne mitti ke bartan le jo pure mitti se bnate hai or unpe bnane walo ke hat ke nisan hote hai ....

Good info.. but your one of the pot is mould made.. the one which has mud handle is authentic clay pot.. it's made by Potter by hand.. mud utensils should be always hand made.. and way to find is it will be bit corse and will have hand circulation marks.. that's my personal observation.. as I too use mud pots a lot.

I have used it. Quality and taste of food is very good. But after some days, we feel bad smell of oil . Once oil is absorbed in the clay it doesn't remove from it
You have to heat them every time after washing as shown in video. It releases oil u have to clean it with tissue paper then put fresh oil and make vegetable. It will not smell

When you buy clay pots for cooking, first after washi ng, for two or three days pour the water you used to wash rice. Then wipe the pot.use some oil.and leave it.use next day. The pots wont turn black.

Hope I won’t break any pots any more, I soak them on water for 24 hours before use though, still they broke😢
