I want to suggest the bananas are like a currency, everyone eats leaves when able but trade the fruit like candy bars, but with a bananas shelf life that's still not very efficient. It might be possible they're magic Kong bananas high in protein but low in sugar (?) but like pokemon that's just kind of cheating on the theory side.

Here in Southeast Asia, the sellers sells them when they are at least half-ripe(it's rare for them to sell it rully ripe). Also, anyone here can plant all sorts of different cultivars in our land. Whilst our cultivars have many variations, they tend to be seedless also, as we propagate them via young shoots. Only some variants(usually the bigger ones) have seeds, but those are not as popular as others(even though they taste almost as sweet, but slightly drier)
What about all the other members of the Kong Family? Funky, Kiddy, Candy, Tiny, Lanky, Chunky, etc. Also, what about in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat where he ate as many bananas as possible in a short time frame as an end-of-level bonus? I'd think that would be a good indicator for how many bananas he can eat in a single sitting.
But wait what about Tiny and Kiddy? They are close family and woulda likely been getting a share of the horde too. That would make up the difference preventing waste.

Fun fact: banana go brown due to keeping on producing the enzyme (I think) to become ripe. They keep on ripening until they spoil themselves. I would always double check this though. I wouldn’t be surprised if it came up in the video too.

All this talk about bananas is getting me hungry for a banana. And when you think about it, it's not just donkey kong, diddy, crankie, and dixie. If it would even count, we got more in the kong family like lanky, candy, tiny, funky, maybe even that weird mustache kong from the donkey kong country show.
The one problem with the argument is that over-ripe bananas aren't spoiled, they just have a less pleasant texture. They are used in deserts, cooking in meals, making drinks, and as an ingredient in candies. Most processed food doesn't use them because artificial flavouring and sugar is quicker and more predictable than ripening bananas. In parts of the world where they eat allot of bananas this isn't the case and most of the banana flavoured or derived foods are made from actual bananas. Also it is often breeds of bananas that are far better tasting than the ones us North Americans get in the store.
Humans eat yellow bananas, they're actually ripe when they're green What happened to the rest of the Kong family shown in DK 64? That adds 3 and Dixie isn't included
The only thing I have that doesn't add up for me is that the banana pile is only 90 cm high which means the Elefant is also only 1 meter tall which is really small and that would make dk around 50 cm big
My headcannon is the way the info is provided is how research happened. So this script was edited each time he went down a rabbit hole and found out that it wont be very good yet until lockstin says that if they figure out more than that they care way too much and even I don't care.

The one problem with the argument is that over-ripe bananas aren't spoiled, they just have a less pleasant texture. They are used in deserts, cooking in meals, making drinks, and as an ingredient in candies. Most processed food doesn't use them because artificial flavouring and sugar is quicker and more predictable than ripening bananas. In parts of the world where they eat allot of bananas this isn't the case and most of the banana flavoured or derived foods are made from actual bananas. Also it is often breeds of bananas that are far better tasting than the ones us North Americans get in the store.

Left off Funky and Candy as part of the DK fam. We know Candy is eating DK's banana(s).
The only thing I have that doesn't add up for me is that the banana pile is only 90 cm high which means the Elefant is also only 1 meter tall which is really small and that would make dk around 50 cm big
My headcannon is the way the info is provided is how research happened. So this script was edited each time he went down a rabbit hole and found out that it wont be very good yet until lockstin says that if they figure out more than that they care way too much and even I don't care.
