I just replaced the bedside on mine, now I want to do the rear frame. I have access to a sandblaster like this. How did this turn out for you? any Damage to any components underneath?
@@doitforfun460 check with your local steel manufacturers.and even scrap yards they save their off cuts and eventually they make it into a bin and go to the scrap yard where money is recovered by weight ...i have alumimized my fenders on the truck etc to make rocker panels last forever...point is their are deals to be made ...and the frame pieces are so short in nature well sounds like deals to be made the junk yards sell to foundry for recasting they don't pay much neither does the foundry..when you show up cash is king...
I love seeing rust removal and treatment. Wish I could afford to have someone do the work on my dad's truck, but I can't, so I'll have to do it.

I've watched quite a few restorations and wonder why not affix square tube then weld the trims to it heavier stronger and easily bolted together...
First , the budget, second this is the second restoration for me and my brother , next one will be probably different, learning from mistakes. 👍

How did you fix the floor sill behind the interior rocker panel

I could not find one myself , I bought two middle ones and I used one for outer, a little pain, but it worked .
Everything was on eBay .
