Thank you, I truly appreciate that. It’s definitely not easy figuring out how to grow a UA-cam channel, but I’ll keep going as long as a few folks find it helpful 👊🏼
@@Johnnymidnight nah bro you gave me the confidence to try doing the rockers on my 2013 Ram. The more I watch the more I think I can. Got a new truck anyway so might as well try.
You really do amazing work 👏 I wish I could take my truck to you to get it fixed 🙏 but thank you for showing us how to try to do the work ourselves. You are the man!!!!
Surely the aftermarket parts are just as good. Original side panels on my 09 Dodge started rusting through at 5 years old and 40000 miles. Now it’s 16 years old and I can just about stick my head through the sides.
Your from Canada cool same here. What after market suppler have worked for you? Mind you we could be 3500 km from each other😂 so it might be a wasted answer. Ps thanks for video.
Great video thanks for sharing, any experience/opinions doing composite besides? My 2006 megacab is in need of bedsides also....but would prefer to put on somthing that won't rust.
I don’t paint the inside typically, but certainly can’t hurt to coat them. Even just cheap industrial paint like tremclad or rustoleum would work well.
Looks great pnt code on Dodge PDM Tungsten Vl, how that face mask work I've seen them advertised thought about getting one to keep dirt out of the eyes. Is there some way to chat privately like to as you couple of questions ? Cheaper than a new one !
I just bought the face mask recently, and so far like it a lot! (It does tend to fog up, but it is an inexpensive one….) You can message me through FB, IG, or midnightpaintandbody@gmail.com
This channel needs way more views. You're consistent, effective and a true artisan.

Never thought to take the bed off like that. Amazing video
Thanks!
Beautiful job as always! You take pride in your work, that's lost these days.
Thank you 🙏🏼
I like your channel man. Keep up the good work and best of luck with growing the channel.

Looks better than new!
I definitely want to see the inner rockers done on this truck
I’ll try to find one of my videos where I did inners on one of these trucks and let you know
@ thank you!!

Yes, unfortunately these trucks were terrible for rust, keeps me busy though 😉
Great work mate, from Australia.
Thank you!
Here in south east Texas trucks reign supreme. That repair would have been done be finding another bed box at a salvage yard
Unfortunately not living in a dry climate clean used parts are a rarity, and shipping something like a truck bed from the south costs a bundle
I hate doing the 2000 models where the damn fender is welded to the inner fender well. Nice job.
Good job. Great turorial
Thanks!
Ray Bucks Auto Panels has the best panels for almost vehicles for dodge ram Ford's and Chevrolet trucks
Great job!!!

I’m in BC, I get pretty much everything through Keystone/cross Canada, pretty sure just about any auto parts store can order from them too👍🏼👍🏼
Great video thanks for sharing, any experience/opinions doing composite besides? My 2006 megacab is in need of bedsides also....but would prefer to put on somthing that won't rust.
Don't you apply anything to the inside of the panel to try prevent the rust from happening again
Yes, I always heavily oil all of the inners before returning to the customer
Love the work but wouldn’t it be cheaper for the customer to just replace the bed with a southern box?
I don’t know, by the time you get it here to BC, after exchange, shipping, duty, etc.
What do you set your Millermatic at for wire speed and amps with these body panels?
Usually around 5 1/2 - 6 range
How many hours does it take per side?
I would typically charge 11 hours a side to replace bedside and wheelhouse, and 4 hours a side paint.
Did you paint the inside of the new pickup sides, if so with what?
I don’t paint the inside typically, but certainly can’t hurt to coat them. Even just cheap industrial paint like tremclad or rustoleum would work well.

Looks like your loose some heat out the door
Yep, hoping to have new shop doors done end of this year if all goes well 👍🏼
@@Johnnymidnight I've been working on my 80 firebird. Got it meda blasted. Before winter. Parts are hard to find. Unless I go to ebay.
Are you having trouble getting body parts?
