My cousin asked me to check why the Check Engine light was on , upon hooking up my code reader, I discovered misfire on cylinder1.
Did it start
you guys shouldve just lifted the cab off at this point.
Where are you? Do my dodge. Not as bad as that one.
They should outlaw road salt ! They put it on 2 inches thick here in northern Vermont. It destroys everything
Same project I'm working at😊
Why not sand blast the frame before the body work and paint...... Nice work, but cringing...
Ya, I messed up on that one , but came out good anyway.
Dude is immortal, no welding mask, no respirator, no gloves. Lungs of steel...
Thanks for watching , Next time I will get all PPE, my next one is a f350 rockers and cab corners
Nice video, what does this job cost?
1600$
@@doitforfun460 not actually a bad price
Pressure too high on the gun. Orange peeling bad
Came out really nice actually
Inhale that rust off the grinder wooo
How did you fix the floor sill behind the interior rocker panel
I bought new
@Do it for Fun where did you get that i cant find one for my dodge
And were did you get the outer rocker panel for the underneath part of truck i cant find that part
I'm looking for the same piece. I hope he can disclose where to buy it
I could not find one myself , I bought two middle ones and I used one for outer, a little pain, but it worked .
Everything was on eBay .
@@doitforfun460 my truck is a 2500 4x4 mega cab
What type of welder is that i hVe 2006 dodge ram 2500 4x4 i want to restore
I've watched quite a few restorations and wonder why not affix square tube then weld the trims to it heavier stronger and easily bolted together...
First , the budget, second this is the second restoration for me and my brother , next one will be probably different, learning from mistakes. 👍
@@doitforfun460 check with your local steel manufacturers.and even scrap yards they save their off cuts and eventually they make it into a bin and go to the scrap yard where money is recovered by weight ...i have alumimized my fenders on the truck etc to make rocker panels last forever...point is their are deals to be made ...and the frame pieces are so short in nature well sounds like deals to be made the junk yards sell to foundry for recasting they don't pay much neither does the foundry..when you show up cash is king...
Thanks
I love seeing rust removal and treatment. Wish I could afford to have someone do the work on my dad's truck, but I can't, so I'll have to do it.
Great video !
