      I just got one yesterday and it's in amazing condition for it's age, I think the pick up covers are missing on yours and says they are designer by Seymour Duncan on them. The heaviest guitar I have is my Yamaha rgx 6112s which is over 5 kg, they definitely take a beating better and Don't get dings easily like softer and lighter woods and that is a definite plus. If you don't have one of these Yamaha rgx or higher models, the most innovative, adjustable/playable superstrats ever made with unique and amazing quality and designs. The tremolo pivots on bearings and is like it's from another planet compared to others. I l ikke the kramer but it can never compare to my Yamaha, It is the only guitar I will never sell ever, for any price but they can be had for very cheap and mij models. The price for what you get is just unbelievable, you should get one if ya haven't already!?

      They have a height adjustable nut as well, which is just and makes it's infinitely and easily adjustable! It is genius

    This was the first electric guitar I owned. It's a beast once you can master it, but not something for a beginner. The string feel is just awful. I've had this thing for decades and never found a way to make it feel comfortable to play. That said, it's tone and aggressive feel are why I will never, ever sell this guitar. It has so much character.

    Floyd Rose bridges are pretty simple once you get used to it

    Nice review, nice guitar! I have a Kramer 610 (Pacer II Custom)...I don't use a whammy bar, so I just blocked the Floyd Rose to make the tuning more stable. These guitars have the strings tightened into the FLoyd Rose - you have to cut the ball ends off and use a 2.5 mm allen wrench to loosen the saddles so you can remove the end of the string and replace. If you don't want to cut the ball ends off, you can also thread the string in backwards from the headstock tuners back down to the Floy Rose and tighten - check out some of Tom Morello's videos and you will see what I mean. Hope this all makes sense. Rock On!

    Rad vid and the Striker 600 is a deal for a made in Korea guitar! I think the switch is a coil tap by the way. Any chance you going to review a Jackson Kelly or B.C. Rich warlock in the future?

      oh wut.. didnt know it was made in korea.. gotta update the info thx. and ya jackson + bc rich for sure. im gna review every single guitar dude

      @@everysingleguitars if you review either the Jackson or the bc rich, you should try to get an original one or at least one from that era because the quality varies a lot, specially with those 2 brands and I'd try and get the bc rich quickly because they are starting to get expensive for an old one . And the switch is a cool tap and a kill switch as it toggles 3 ways, I just got to have a go on mine just now.

      @@jeremyrobertson7267 The switch is a coil SPLIT (not a tap) So, one position is one coil on, the middle position is both coils on (humbucker) and the last position is the other coil on by itself.

    • @jeremyrobertson3167

      @@groovydjs yeah ya getting a bit petty there with ya wording. Lol. The actual wiring unit itself is called a ‘tap’ and ‘splitting’ the coil is what it does, not what it is! A tap is just an electronic term used in everything with a wiring switch that works that way and not even a guitar thing anyway. Technically you’re right but so am I, so..............and like I said, mine just killed the humbucker completely so it was technically a killswitch, wasn’t it!? You’re just ‘splitting’ hairs and didn’t even need the switch! Lol

    The mini switch is a coil tap. The Floyd on that kramer is a Floyd rose Two. Basically a cheaper alternative to regular German style floyds that came out in the 80s. In order to take the stings out of the saddles you use a hex key (Alan wrench) to unlock the pin the holds the saddle just like you’d use to unlock the locking nut. You clip a ball end of a string, place it in the saddle and the lock the saddle at the bottom the pull the strings through at the top. It gets easier to use a Floyd the more you mess with it. I changed the pickups out of mine and the Floyd with an original and it’s my favorite and one of my most versatile guitars. I also sanded the neck to get rid of some of the clear coat finish and it’s smooth. The neck is what won it for me. Awesome vid man.

    • @XXXX-yc6wv
      @XXXX-yc6wv 3 роки тому +3

      Yep, I have this Kramer build. Floyd Rose 2. You only need a hex key at the nut end, not at bridge. Strings feed through back of bridge with ball end locking there. This is the point of Floyd Rose 2, no need to clip ball end.

    • @DerekBratescu
      @DerekBratescu 3 роки тому

      @@XXXX-yc6wv you must have gotten an earlier model Floyd rose II because they made two versions one where the strings pull through and one with locking saddles. The Floyd rose two that came with my kramer was double locking from the saddle and at the nut. If you look closely his Floyd Rose 2 has the locking saddles he would need a hex key for the cylinder at the end to loosen the saddle blocks that hold in place where the string ball end would be. I replaced it with a German Floyd and upgraded the block plus with a drop D. Still cool the process of old guitars.

    The body is made of plywood. I know because mine exploded at the FR2 connection. The neck is the best part and is very similar to my 86 Kramer Pacer. Currently trying to find a new body.

    Don't feel bad, floyds take a while to understand, I personally love them but that wasn't always the case. IF you use a stabilizer your not screwed when a string breaks.
