X men 1 version of Toad being a tech savvy, wise mouth, and legit fighter is something I wish we saw more of. My favorite version of Toad of all media.
I actually really loved how they portrayed him in days of future past. I loved that he had normal human skin tone, but bumpy skin and other features that made him look more animalistic like his namesake. I’m looking forward to this iteration making another appearance in the upcoming movie, which they claimed his character would be in it.

X-Men (mutants) was actually made by Marvel Comics to inspire the underdogs, gays, people of any difference than the "general" crowd and isolated to be inspired by them and outshine or be parallel to everyone makes sense. I can't explain how mad I would want to see X-Men animated series on Fox Kids here in India at age 7, because, we didn't have a Marvel Comics here but the way mutants were looked down upon and did their best to save humanity which so despised them was so inspiring! That was before Sony, Universal and MCU came made nuisances/alterations with our OG Marvel Comics characters.
Toad is a very interesting character... NOW. I'm old as dirt. I remember Toad when he was just a hopping fat guy who was barely superhuman at all, just a toadie who was loyal to Magneto. And yes, I used the word "toadie" on purpose because that was obviously his main role. The version of Toad before the alt-universe ones, the retcons, the revisions, and improvements made him pretty much a red-shirt nothing of a mutant.

The X-Men evolution character was great. Everytime he and the rest of the brotherhood showed up you always had that "the boys are back in town" vibe I wasn't to keen on the Scarlet witch storyline because you know he doesn't end up with her so it's sad.

Do a sort of female version of toad who is frog like. As an adult have her with an extremely fit well developed female body except have her with mostly greenish skin and yellow/brownish/reddish spots on her front and sides with her back skin being more rougher thicker and scalier. Have her with some of the same abilities as toad. Maybe have her bloat the skin under her chin and front of the neck out croaking like a frog, vibrating stuff like glass till it shatters drives animals crazy or make people feel nauseated disoriented badly. Have her with webbed hands and feet for swimming. Have her with wide mouth nose and far spaced apart eyes that bulge.
They made him "not a villain" for a bit, but it kinda sucked he basically a janitor that was treated like shit at the x mansion, not sure what he's doing now a days, kinda made him a back ground character that was the butt of jokes so I quit paying attention

One of the most underrated X-Men villains. I didn't realize it was Darth Maul playing Toad. He definitely steals the movie.
in the film when he spins the metal bar it's a reference to the lightsaber spin in Episode 1.
Toad is one of my favorite characters in X-MEN Evolution. He was also a decent character to use in X-MEN Legends 2 in my opinion.

I've noticed on the X-Men Evolution they changed Toad & Avalanche's names Mortimer Toynbee became Todd Tolansky & Dominic Petros became Lance Alvers.
Didn't they also do that on X-Men:Evolution?
