Salivating again. I could happily live on Greek food. Roll on 2024 when I'll be able to
I am fascinated of how Akis spins around in his kitchen. And more amazed with his style of cooking. So inspired with this guy. Been watching him since years back when he was featured by Jamie Oliver.
This is legendary. Akis, please always keep on being Akis. RIP to all the Spaniards who died of heart attacks 😂
Rice or paella would be the last thing to cause a heart attack
I am greek but i live in Bolivia, right now I am with my Greek family cook your recipes
Looks amazing! Big yes to a Greek version!🤩👍
I'm half Spanish and I think your paella is just great ! Yassas !
Rice or paella is part of one of the healthiest diets around- the Mediterranean diet!! Looks amazing 😍😍
As traditional paella is also a mediterranean dish, i wish you could do in future this dish too. I would love to see, as fan from Spain. And also still love this recipe of course!!
In Greece we have paellas they are Rizi and Thalasina (rice & seafood) or Rizi and Mudia (rice & mussels) AKIS did it Paella style by adding bulgur wheat, sausage, prawns etc which is very good too. I like most of the things he makes.
SPAIN IS A MEDDITERRENEAN COUNTRY.... HELLO!!!!
I love your accent, you’re great chef
👍❤️ so deliciouso thank you so much
luv the fact of using another grain, looks amazing !
Looks amazingly delicious and what’s fantastic about authentic dishes like (paella, moussaka, lasagne and so on…) is that you can tweak the recipes to make something that you might have in your pantry (like any type of rice because not everyone has bomba rice) available to them and the outcome will be similar!!
Lots of 💕 from 🇨🇦
You Canadians should not be allowed to talk about food... Hello? I heard Poutine? Argh... 😂
@@ramonlg21 Poutine tastes very good coming in from the cold. You do need lots of gravy on the french fries.
@@ramonlg21 Toronto Canada is one of the most culturally diverse cities around the world and the food scene here is spectacular, including poutine.!! 😉
Myself… I was born and raised in Crete and my families routes are in the culinary arts for over 5 decades so yes my opinion on Akis “Greek style Paella” is justified. 🧿 🧄 skordo mou…
@@judithcoloma613 Mmm... I just feel it is a failed dish, the fries, the cheese, the gravy... it is a combo that I cannot enjoy. But there are restaurants from so many different national traditions that this is not an issue.
@@tiafanioudakis4015 I lived there myself for 4 years, so I know what you are talking about, but poutine is just not my thing. Cheers!
Different yet I’m sure delicious💋
Love the recipe. Can’t wait to make it. Thank you!
🇪🇸🇬🇷🇪🇸🇬🇷🇪🇸🇬🇷🇪🇸
Every region of Spain has its own recipe for paella. At least that is what my Spanish cookbook says. Paella is my go-to company dish; no matter who the company is, it is always a hit.
The one essential item is you use the freshest local fur, fin, and/or feathers you can find.
For me in the US Pacific Northwest, that means local mussels, clams, spot prawns, halibut, Spanish chorizo, and chicken thighs. Sometimes I cannot find Valencia rice. Bulgur would be a good idea, thanks Akis. I'll try that next time.
Greeks have a paella style foods. We have rizi me 8alassina which is paella style but AKIS just stepped it up a notch good for him 👍I do the same stuff to my Bakery here in America.
Looks amazing
My sister in law in Valencia has a heart attack if I even try to add seafood; I can't wait to serve this and will probably live until I call it 'Paella'🤣
It will be delicious for sure 💃
TIP, You can make this by adding the American South Trinity which is, Celery, Onions, Green Peppers. After add the Medditerennean Trinity which is, Diced tomatoes, Garlic and Green onions diced. ADD shrimp, prawns, chicken, sausage BUT if you add that you just making a fry pan version of Gumbo. Lol
Then you ADD your chicken, sausage, spices and broth.
The Bulgar Wheat AKIS is using is healthier in my opinion bcz Rice is good ONLY if is Organic. BRAVO AKI FOR USING BULGUR. 😁
I use shrimp, mussels, clams, octopus and calamari only fish only bcz I do not like mixing fish and meat UNLESS I am making GUMBO.
SPANISH PEOPLE IS ALL GOOD, PAELLA OR BULGUR PAELLA IS ALL GREAT FOOD.
ALL THE MEDDITERRENEANS DO IT BEST & THAT IS A WORLD WIDE FACT.
BRAVO!!!!! AKI
BRAVO!!!!! SPAIN
BRAVO!!!!! EVERY MEDDITERRENEAN COUNTRY
😱😉😋 intersting mix 😉 of flavors...but spectacular one pan meal...🤩👍👨🍳👌🍀🌞
☺🙃😲 thanks Akis for 🧡 & 🍀👍🌞have a nice day...
Incredible :) Can You cook something from Poland in Greek style it would be great . Greetings Thomas ;)
Once again, you inspire me to prepare my foods better. I'm definitely making this one!! Thank you!
Will take pligouri over any rice type every day of the week and twice on Sunday. There is no comparison. Much more tastier.
ASSOLUTAMENTE DELIZIOSA la Paella... AKIS 🇬🇷🇮🇹 sei SPETTACOLARE 👍💪💪❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Excuse me but I have a paella pan 🎉😁
Definitely making this this week -can’t wait to try 👌🏻👌🏻
TSELEMENTES IS LEGENDARY AND #1 FOR MANY GENERATIONS LADY
@@NN-lb8xl No one doubts the importance of Tselementes! I myself have his cookbooks and use them. A new era has dawned with Akis. Its UA-cam channel and website are just perfect to look up....
Yummy 😋 Delicious!
Το bulgur στα Ελληνικά είναι πληγούρι;
Το stock είναι κοτόπουλο ή λαχανικών;
Hi chef Akis I just want to ask what is the ratio of liquid to cook bulgur wheat ?
👑
The Greek Style Paella is sexier and much better than the Spanish Paella
(Unbiased Greek living in Australia)
One can see that you´ve never eaten real paella
@@isabelcalvorodero4142 Paella is plagiarised Asian cuisine.
Even rice comes from the Yangtze River basin in China.
You think you can add a couple of prawns, some mussels and sausage and call it a national dish?
Who invented the sausage?
What exactly is in this dish that was invented by the Spanish? Name one item.
@@koylerin Very clever diversion Mr Alfonso.
It does not help your argument one bit my friend.
You should apologise
@@PetraKann your comment is so dumb and ignorant that there's not much point in answering it, before claiming a dish is plagiarized, you first have to know something about that dish, or the original recipes that you claim it plagiarizes.
Amazing!! the perfect recipe so I can eat bulgur cuz' I don't like it but I want to change! I'll start by this recipe! thank you 🥰
👍 Deeelicious😋🤗💕
I am gonna make mousaka the Spanish way, with chorizo and rice, see how you like it, Akis!
You are funny 😂
BULGUR WHEAT IS THAT WHAT WE MAKE THE KOLYBA WITH IN GREECE OR NO?
CAN SOMEONE GREEK ANSWER ME PLEASE?
I NEVER HAD BULGUR WHEAT IN MY LIFE & I WAS BORN IN GREECE BUT LIVE IN AMERICA.
It's the pligouri. Am sure you eat it before.
Oh come now, you need a clay pot to make Bao Zai Fan
What happened to the sausage and chicken? you sauteed it but then it was not in the resulting dish.
noice
And this is how World War III started.
😂
Malaka you trying to start a war ??? Lmao
Since you took a minute to introduce yourself and your region to his followers, you might also consider a few more minutes of your time and press replay and pay attention that it’s a Greek (paella).
The culinary term paella is used commonly in similar recipes of the authentic (Spanish Paella) to describe the “approximate” dish for generalization!!
Yes big difference between bomba rice and this type of starch but the end result (Advil or Tylenol?) both pain killers 😊
Gotta love the Spaniards 💖
🤗🥰🇨🇦
What an aberration, please dont call it paella, call it whatever you want but not paella, paella is the recipent where its cooked the rice we use in the paella, this ¨recipe¨ has not even rice! the escuse of ¨I am greek I can do whatever I want¨ is an insult of the gastronomy culture of a country, I would never pick a greek recipie like Pastitsio and use totally random ingredients and say at the end: Sorry for the greek people who is watching this but I am Spanish and I can do whatever I want.
You can say that this recipe was inspired by the Spanish paella (By the way, the ONLY ingredient in comon that the original recipe has is the chicken)
Anyways, I hope you take the coment as a fedback and not as flame.
😂😂😂😂than looked delicious, untill I saw you adding feta cheese....there my eyes start falling down from my face.... Paella is a traditional dish, with a designation of origin granted in 2011, which aspires to be Intangible heritage of Humanity, as soon as possible.
Of course there are other sub-types of paellas, depending on the areas where they are made, all within Spanish territory and all include specific ingredients. and the principal ingredient is RICE. You cooked bulgur, and that is wheat. You could have used crumbled spaghetti and it had been the same thing 😂😂😂😂
Paella is one thing, and what you have cooked isbulgur with "things". Delicious for sure, but it can never be called paella. Neither Greek paella, nor Bulgarian paella nor Chinese paella or from any other place but Spain. Not even Gordon Ramsay himself calls it paella. It would not be paella, without the specific paella ingredients. It would be, rice, "this" style... or the "other"...
It is as if I told you that I am going to prepare a xoriatiki, putting tuna, balsamic vinegar and adding chorizo. Or that today I will cook cod dolmades...land will serve it together with spanish-style feta cheese... and so, I could continue until tomorrow.😂😂😂😂
You Greeks know better than anyone that respect for the roots of a country always must come first. No offence.😇
Akis remove the cheese and the peas from the paella!!!!
Gross meal lol
