Excellent show once again . I didn’t know commercial fishing boats could fish wrecks, continuing to learn from the master… On to another angler who had his own tv show, without giving out his name, I’m going back about 25/30 years maybe. He would pop the fishes swim bladder with his knife and toss them back in saying that they live to fight another day. Now like I said I’m not going to give out his name, and to be honest I did look up to this guy for a very long time. Freshwater ling?
@@TheFishLocker Burbot, a freshwater ling cod native to some freshwaters here in the US and Canada. Run a little smaller than their saltwater cousins, but they are delicious.
@@KowboyUSA - I know of Burbot, they are technically extinct here in the U.K. but I do know of them I just haven’t heard them called Ling. Good luck. 👍🏻

"Now look..." so classic.
Haha.
Great video very mild in Dublin today 14 degrees!!! perfect for fishing, pike anglers know all about those little nicks..... nasty.
Pike are deadly for it aren’t they!!
Great video John - incredible session on the Ling! Having seen your Ling cooking videos with Jim - I'm getting hungry, just as well it's nearly lunchtime! Have you any plans to do some lighter shore fishing rigs with Cox & Rawle? Great to see your input with Matt's video too - all we need now is a collaboration with Saltwater Dangler out on the boat! Seasons Greetings to Jim, yourself, and the family - stay safe & well! 👍👍
@@lindajohn8014 No thanks - why do you ask?
Who is this Linda John?
@@TheFishLocker It was a reply to a post she put up John, which has since been deleted. It was 3 months ago, and I don't remember what it was about! Looking at her profile, she only opened her UA-cam account 20 days before you uploaded this video. Best regards.
Good info as always John👍
Every day is a school day. 😉
Some of the depths you're fishing in.... I'd be making a brew while waiting to hit the bottom...! 👍
Haha. It gets deeper too. 🤣
I always know when the fish locket family freezer is empty coz we get a ling video 🤣🤣🤣 I've never tried it and would love to so next time I'm down in Cornwall visiting family I'm going to get a wrecking trip booked I think because up here on the south coast we don't really get them
Fantastic video mate as always
If you give me a message on the Fishlocker fb page before you're due down I might be free. 👍🏻
@@TheFishLocker I will John thank you 😊
Great session! Your lingcod look a lot different than ours here in the Pacific northwest. Did miss the cook with your friend, would have been interesting to see what he created. Very nice my friend 🤠

Your lingcod are awesome. I'd love to see a Blue one!!!
Love the wreck fishing
Me too. 😊
Nice one John good bag of ling .
Also rigs look good. Shame about the nets every wear.
It is what it is mate. This time of year is terrible for it. 🤷🏻♂️
John locker the “fish whisper” .
🤫🐟
Catching too many fish! That's a nice problem to have especially as they were all big ones. You said that it was the first frost in balmy Cornwall, here in the chilly East we've had lots, some quite severe. Looking forward to the next video.
It’s not hard to see why I love living here. 😬
