- This was literally the first trip out to sea on my new Warrior 170. After completing some modifications I took the boat out for some Offshore Sea trials. Would your Go pro be able to handle the depth that the wrecks are at? You made a good point about wondering what was going on down there, would be cool if you were able to get footage of what the area around the wreck looked like. Might even help with how you would wanna anchor apon it. Not sure if it's possible but sounded like a good theory in my mind lol.

What a cracking pollock on the mackie feathers mate. Quality ling for the table too, like the new boat John like the advice on keeping stuff tidy and organised whilst operating the boat. Obvious but not always at forefront of the mind👍 I understand it’s good practice to have some kind of kill switch attached to pfd via lanyard and karabiner. Keep up the good work, tight lines.
Poseidon was smiling good luck on you with the double hook-up at 07:15. That's the best way to imbue your new vessel with great luck for a long life on your first trip. Congrats, tight lines and stay safe. I'd recommend something like Locker Magic for the new boat's name to keep the theme with your channel name.
John - Does the new boat have a live bait well too? That would be a good bit of kit for you as you didn't have room in your older vessel.

Great to see that you've finally got the new boat out on the water, you were obviously very pleased with her. Just one comment you'll have to be very careful with the lobster pots on those rear seats, they look very vulnerable.

John - At 23:00, you surely gained quite an observation crowd looking at all of the gulls floating around you. You must know they have to be commenting on the new boat in town! ;-)
Handlines can be amazingly effective at times. I remember going off for a long weekend's sailing with some mates when I lived in Tasmania. We anchored off a small bay to have breakfast and there was a bit of bacon left over afterwards, so I used it as bait. It was amazing, I was getting a bite from a flathead every thirty seconds or so until I ran out of bacon!
@@stevebarlow3154 which is what i started with over 70 summers ago. Even today some people around the Pacific and Northern Territory of Oz.use handlines. And yes you're right, also very effective.

Great way to break-in new boat!!! I have been unable to get out fishing for the last 3 weeks due to low tide or heavy fog and also strong winds. Watching your vid is close to going fishing too. CHEERS from western Canada!!!
