So I actually looked up the plot for Cho Aniiki, and it's suuuuuuper weird. The big guy at the beginning is the Ten Time Intergalactic Bodybuilder Champion, and he's running out of protein shakes. So he travels from planet to planet setting up new protein factories in order to let him get even more muscular. The Japanese gods don't like this, and send out two angels to help the main character to stop him.

2014 - What's interesting here is that it's structured like an iPhone game, or even like a Flash game. We all know how popular those games have become in recent years - so popular the market's oversaturated to the brim.
2019 - Flash will be phased out by the end of this year
But seriously though, those Flash games were basically my and my brother's entire childhoods, we still can't believe they're being phased out, I have an entire folder of downloaded SWF files so I can still play them after the purge.

I have a decent-sized folder of my favorite games, and if you remember Kongregate, they've recently launched a game store that also hosts Flash games that you can play from the desktop, called Kartridge. Check it out, and buy a game to support it so they can keep it running.

Watching this now, it's crazy how remarkably well this content has aged. JonTron was well ahead of his time in production quality, direction, and writing compared to his competitors on UA-cam. The shelf-life of most UA-cam content is barely a few months at most, but I find myself coming back to JonTron again and again.

Bit of a Japanese lesson here. The part about the Jerry=Jelly thing is probably correct. It's most likely a mistranslation, due to the fact that in loan words to mimic the "L" sound, the characters ラ, リ, ル, レ, or ロ are used due to a slight "L" sound in there pronunciation. But those characters are closer to an "R" sound(and end up being transliterated as ra, ri, ru, re, and ro) so are also used for that sound . So end result being that Jerry=ジェリー and Jelly=ジェリー (both pronounced jerii). Though jelly can also be spelt ジェリィ(which is pronounced the same as the pervious spelling.) and also ゼリー(Zerii).

The jerry-jelly typo is a result of how the Japanese pronounce it. Rs and Ls are used interchangeably, so errors like this are common. Jerry or jelly, they'd pronounce both the same way.

Guys, Jontron may have been leaning downward in quality, but you need to remember, *YOU ARE THE REASON WHY*.
I mean seriously, everyday most of you literally beg him to make new videos as you can't live 2 minutes without them, and rushing doesn't always mean a good dish is served everytime. You guys need to cut him some slack about him taking his time when he does, otherwise he'll keep going down in quality.
That, and even more so people really should stop trying to butt in on his personal life. You can see its effect on him during some recent panels.

I think it's more about the pressure of the haters and all the whinning. Even if people say the solution is "stop listening to them" it's definitely not that easy. The pressure on him right now is huge, it must be hard to come up with good comedy with a shitty depressive mood.
