    Hello,
    you may need to remove some fluid before adding Lubegard so that you don’t overfill. If your transmission is right at the fill line, then 10 oz is usually not enough to overfill the transmission, but if your currently over the mark you would need to remove fluid first.

    mazda cx9 2008. The mileage of the car is 210 thousand miles. The gearbox had a changed gearbox oil and a filter 2 years ago. The gearbox works fine. Can I pour in shudder fixx? Do we use as is the problem with the gearbox?

    Probably should update the fluid to the Blue label Mobil HP ATF or Amsoil Blue ATF then add this. The factory fluid in the 8L90 is hydroscopic

      Hello - If you are adding two full bottles (20 ounces), you will need to remove some fluid first, so that you don't overfill.

      What’s the easiest way to remove some fluid? I just had to pay the stealership to swap my fluid, and have ZERO desire to do that again, so 2 bottles of your product is what I’m going to add now (I to the new fluid!)

      No way to accurately tell, unless you do a single drain and measure how much fluid came out from that. Highly recommended to do a typical DIY 3x3 (3 drain and fills) style trans flush.

    • @marketingmajor8126
      @marketingmajor8126 9 місяців тому

      It's best not to do that. If you are going to add something without draining first, then it would be 2 tubes the Lubegard Instant Shudder Fixx (which would equal 4 ounces total) as an in-between measure until you are ready to do a complete fluid swap with the Mobil-1 blue label Mobil-1 LV ATF and 2 bottles of the Lubegard Platinum.

    If this does not fix the shudder it means that the torque converter is too damaged ??

    • @marketingmajor8126
      @marketingmajor8126 9 місяців тому

      Yeah many times that's the next in line for replacing if the Lubegard product doesn't clear up the shuddering. I've seen this most when people have continued to drive the vehicle for an extended time/miles without addressing the shudder issue which will result in a glazing of the TC and at that point it will require replacing. A few other things that have been an issue though and/or have come in to play is that in addition to the fluid change and upgrade, there has been an issue with the transmission wiring harness so that may need to be replaced with a new one and a reset/update of the transmission adaptive software after the services are performed.

    how do you add it without a filler tube? have to take to dealer?

    • @isnowyazn
      @isnowyazn 10 місяців тому +1

      You should have a drain and fill plug/bolt on your transmission. You’ll need a hand pump or siphon pump, both needing the right sized hoses, in order to reach into the fill hole.
      Most modern transmissions, as early as ‘06-07, were sealed off, and do not have a dipstick tube. There’s no way to tell how much ATF is in these auto transmissions, without draining it from the drain hole and measuring how much fluid comes out.
      That being said, draining on an auto trans is much more complicated than a manual trans, which uses gear oil, which typically does not expand; and there are also parts in a manual gearbox that do not retain manual transmission fluid/gear oil. There is usually leftover ATF in auto trans torque converter, and parts such as the fluid pan and transmission filter(s).

    Has anyone tried this product? I have a 2017 SS Camaro that has started the shudder again. It happened at 25,000 miles and the dealership did the flushing then reprogrammed and it was perfect till now at 107,000 miles

      Hello Dwight - Adding Lubegard Platinum will help restore some of the depleted additive content and should smooth out the shudder. Have you had the fluid serviced since you had it done at 25k?

    • @dwight6343
      @dwight6343 Рік тому +2

      Thank you for the response! No I haven’t had it serviced since. Should I try a service first, then add your product if needed?
      Also, which of your products would you recommend for now or after a service?

    • @lubegardinternationallubri6870
      @lubegardinternationallubri6870  Рік тому +2

      @@dwight6343 The transmission fluid breaks down over time and looses its frictional properties. The fluid change should improve the shifting. Lubegard Platinum could be added at the time of service. You could add the Instant Shudder Fixx to the existing fluid to reduce the shudder until you can get the fluid serviced.

      @@dwight6343Buddy any updates? Did you add new fluid with Lubegard oil ?

    • @isnowyazn
      @isnowyazn 10 місяців тому +1

      As long as you flush any remaining factory fill ATF out (older black label Mobil 1 Dexron full synthetic LV ATF) and use the newer BLUE labeled Mobil 1 Dexron HP full synthetic LV ATF, you should be fine as long as you add 2 or 3 bottles of the Lubegard Platinum ATF additive.
      If you don’t want to pay $200+ for a transmission flush from a mechanic, do a DIY 3x3 (3 drain and fills) trans flush from home. Most of the older, worn, and contaminated break-in trans fluid should be out by the 3rd fluid drain and fill.
