Thank you for mentioning the plastic wrap. I've been teaching for over a decade and this is the FIRST time I've used plastic wrap, thanks to your tip! So much easier!
I have been watching your videos for a few months now, and I think you are awesome and inspiring. I also want to teach kindergarten some day. Btw I like your necklace
I just wanted to stop and say thank you for creating this UA-cam channel. I am finishing up my Junior year of college right now and your videos are great. I even shared it with the Dean of my college and she is going to send out a mass email to every Early Childhood Education student to inform them of your channel. I find your videos to be so helpful as I am finishing up final year of college!
+Kayla Patterson you are so very kind. I love what I do and only want to share my experiences and knowledge with everyone. I wish you the best in your final year. Let me know how your internship goes!
We end June 1st! This year I'll be looping with my kids to 3rd. (we're so excited!!) something I always do is use butcher paper to cover my bookshelves so they do not get any dust. I also have been organizing my cabinets and files so I don't have to worry about it. A mentor of mine gave me the best tip last year: keep a caddy of all your essentials (scissors, stapler, tape, stapler remover, pens, tape measure, etc.). She told me to leave it out and pack it away last. When I came back after summer last year, it was the first thing I took out. I didn't realize how important all those little things are! Such a great idea and it helped me so much! Love your videos! Xoxo
I'm a first time kindergarten teacher and your videos have really been my go-to resource for a few weeks. Any tips for that first week when they get separation anxiety and have trouble adjusting to being away from their parents? Our school year begins in June and I could really use your help.
+Ferzine I I have my students bring in pictures of their family and post those around the classroom. I try to distract them with fun activities, play toys and coloring. It never fails that I have two or three kids that are crying. I reassure parents that they will be fine and I promise they typically stop crying after a couple of minutes. If not, I would have some teddy bears and pillows for them to go and sit until they can calm themselves down. Don't be nervous. Lots of kids are excited to be there and they rub off on everyone else.
Could you please do a vlog showing your room when it's all packed up? 😊 I love your videos I'm currently in school to become a elementary school teacher!
Hi, love your videos. You talk about your boxes, teacher, student, etc. Could you do a video showing what are somethings you place in these boxes? Also, having an issue with storing construction paper (the long ones). What would you suggest?
We put funny signs on our donation piles, like "If you can haul it, you can have it" or "If you can tote it, you can take it"! Everybody knows it's fair game. :)
Nine days? After these two weeks of holidays, I have nine weeks till summer! Thanks for these tips. I'm also interested in a video of your packed up room :) I like the idea to plastic wrap everything ... last year oe of my tables had a big hole in the paint after the summer ... really annoying! So I wish you great last days with your kids
I'm new to your channel and I've been binge watching your videos. I'm so glad I found you :) I'm a special Ed teacher and I've been co-teaching for two years. There is a possibility that I will be getting my own classroom next year so I was wondering if you've made or can make a video on shopping essentials for a new classroom. Since I've been coteaching I barely have anything and id be getting an empty classroom. Thanks!
Early September. We have a week in October, 2.5 for Christmas, a week in February, 2.5 for Easter and a week at the end of May. It's pretty much a break every 6-7 weeks. Very jealous of your super long summer.
Recently found your channel and love! I just accepted a K position yesterday!!! Video on how to set up K classroom? Things to hit on the first week or so??? Thank you!
Most of my ideas that I borrow from others are through Blogs, Instagram, and Periscope. I would check out @iTeachTVnetwork on all social media! There are some fantastic teachers!
I love the three boxes tips

In the UK we don't finish until the middle of July!
+Claire Fisher When do you start school?

So they have three months school holiday? Yeah in the UK it's mid to late July when holiday starts.
+CuriosityRocks It's more like 2 months and a week.
Fabulous post! Thank you for all of the great tips! Curious...do you follow other vloggers that you get ideas from too? If so, who are they?

Put your name and room number on all your boxes and personal furniture so if something does get sent to the wrong room, they know who to return it to.
+Kyle Post So true. Great advice!
9 days..??! Wow, over here we still have 9 weeks to go untill summer..
