What’s good y’all!? Itz Dalv0 and this is my personal UA-cam channel . Please subscribe and stay tuned for more content!! I love everybody who still supports me it really means a lot ❤️
Black men need role models to look up to when exploring their sexuality, i wish i had someone like you to look up to when i was young. Keep up the great work❤️❤️
Great job. More black and brown men need to tell coming out stories. One little critique. Being gay is NOT a lifestyle. Wearing a cowboy hat and white after labor day are lifestyle choices. No one ever says "I'm living a heterosexual lifestyle." Thanks sharing your story. You are loved!
completely agree. I caught that too! being gay is a sexual orientation. A lifestyle choice is if I wanted to be vegan lol I didn't choose to be gay, I do choose to be vegan and it's my lifestyle
Your gonna blow up really fast on your own. You got a good humble heart that makes you very likable. No matter how famous you get, don’t ever lose that heart bro. I wish you all the best ✊🏾
Really deep, from the heart, straight forward. I know I’m gay and i never talked to nobody about it. I lived with it not even connecting with other gay people. I had people call me gay, only being mean. Only a few people knew and really my family had their own assumptions, but never asked to this day. If I would tell them I’m gay I really don’t think it would matter. I have grown apart from family and family don’t matter to me about my life in areas like that. I have been more concern about my faith. I love God and I believe God. I try to apply the word to my life. I have push back and away from my feelings for a man in my life all my life. That is my struggle, dalvin. God is the only reason I don’t live as a gay man. I believe in his word is true and I feel god has let me know living with a man is not the best life for me. Is it easy moving forward? No, but I believe god has given me strength that mountain ⛰ he has change to a molehill. It’s there but, I want go to it. I had a guy on my job that told me he had a crush on me. I just walked away. When I got to my car 🚘 I cried like a baby. To have what you want and love come to you and say that it was hard to not accept. I believe this our flesh is not our fault. Sin is in us , we don’t have to do anything, it’s there. But, god is looking for the one who is willing to deny yourself and follow him. So, that is the only reason I would not follow my heart to live gay. I had a same sex experience when I was your age. I never did it again. I’m twice your age and I would not even try it now. When young you do things but, as you live and grow in life things change. I respect the fact you know who you are, and what you want to do. It has been people like you who have inspired me. These conversations like yours I never would have had the courage to do. Thank you dalvin for sharing your story, I know am not alone.
Bernard, hey. You've said a lot, especially about what God wants for you, which, at least by implication, you believe is to be celibate. Interesting and tragic, because by understanding the nature of the "men sleeping with men" (MSWM) scriptures, which are the so called "anti-homosexual-homosexuality" verses, you'd understand heterosexual MEN are its exclusive focus, and for all the right reasons. To understand this we must do those verses due diligence by learning context, otherwise we do what most individuals who read those verses do, which is to "tell the truth while telling lies" (my quote). Discerning what those scriptures mean involves knowing something about the original texts of the Hebrew Bible (The Old Testament) and New Testament, which were written in Ancient Biblical Hebrew -- with a few stories in Ancient Aramaic, and then translated first into Classical Greek and, much later, other languages as well. It also requires understanding the problems of translation and transcription; the history and cultures of the Ancient Roman World, Near East, and Greece, the areas in which the anthology of Biblical stories take place; the history and genesis of human sexuality; understanding the Old English term "abomination" is nowhere in the original Biblical texts nor is anything remotely similar; understanding why women in many parts of the ancient world thought hard before having sexual relations with their husbands (and others); knowing there's often a "distinction with a difference" between "homosexual & homosexuality" and "heterosexual & heterosexuality," each one; understanding what "man's inhumanity to man" means in Biblical, and literal, senses; understanding the role of pederasty (man-adolescent boy love) in Ancient Greek military and sport cultures, and the (mostly) upper classes; why some Biblical authors, or committees of them, had personal and/or political agendas, ones absent God's inspiration; why and when the "women sleeping with women" scriptures were added to some Bibles, though none are in the original texts; why in the 1940s some Bibles added additional MSWM scriptures; why the Bible says nothing about loving, same-gender adult relationships as we know them today, as it had no understanding of homosexuality in modern terms; why the Bible implies heterosexuals need more supervision; why Christian vanity, arrogance and/or ignorance, and heterosexual sensibilities, are often (largely) responsible for homosexuals being suppressed, verbally abused, physically attacked, jailed and murdered at various, but not all, times in history; etc. As important every generation has its burdens. They are also tasked to make advances in science and technology, philosophy religion, and spirituality, and politics and economics, for example, as well as in notions concerning gender, sex roles, sexuality, romance and marriage. Our African ancestors largely understood that sexuality has no borders, homosexuality has been with us since time, "there's nothing new under the sun," and "to everything its season under the heavens." It helps explain why homophobia had been un-African prior to European and Arab colonization. This is important to mention because many Africans and Blacks claim homosexuality is foreign to us, that (somehow) White people introduced it to the world, and is a form of genocide for decimating the Black race through depopulation and disease (HIV/AIDs). Those curious notions are disheartening for being absurd, ahistorical, anti-scientific, and anti-intellectual. They are also a refutation of the humanity African clans and ethnic groups often accorded/accord "two-spirits" (individuals possessing both ying & yang, male & female characteristics), people modernity labels "homosexual." Furthermore it rejects the truth that there were/are ethnic groups that had no name for "same-gender loving" members, as they were/are simply a part of them. It wasn't/isn't relevant who they slept with. They lived/live absent judgement about sexuality; and that sexuality was/is often "gender-fluid"/bisexual. Bernard, upon reflection, I pray you look in the mirror for who deserves better. To be loved by someone special makes us "come alive" (so to state) and also helps demonstrate personal well-being. And remembering the following moral-ethic would do we Christians (and others) well: Every human relationship should be centered in the 4th Commandment, our Christian Commission, understanding that we mock it when promiscuity & adultery, hate & coercion, and pedophilia & pederasty are present. Brother Dalvin might "read" me for posting this long response on his YT page, but I beg his pardon, and mercy, for what I've stated might help someone on his/her journey. I wish you, and yours, fellow traveler, Bernard, good luck and Godspeed. PS. Bro Dalvin, if you read this, know I'm impressed by you, your keen intelligence, kind heart and good nature. One day you'll be telling family and friends "Forever Came Today." And about your topic, "Coming Out Revisited," to paraphrase an ole' Negro spiritual, "You done done good." I love the thought of you, man, so fly high, best wishes & Godspeed, prince.
Bernard im going through the same thing practicing celibacy to live a life for God. People dont understand it, and people are always justifying sin. God has a better plan for us ans unfortunately the plan we had wasn't it. To be a follower of Christ we habe to pick up our cross and deny ourself. I left a 3 year relationship to Christ. Its hard but we can do it.
THANK YOU 13:36 YOU SPOKE FACTS THEY THINK JUST CAUSE YOU LIKE THE SAME GENDER YOU WANT THEM WHEN THATS REALLY NOT THE CASE YOU ACTUALLY BE WANTING TO BE COOL WITH THEM I CAN DEFINITELY RELATE TO THIS💯💯💯❤
You are the real deal and it shines through. Something better and more you will eventually come your way. I think you dodged a bullet. Make videos about your life. Don't be in such a hurry to move out. Think about the money you can save and what you could do with those savings. What a beautiful man you are. Love you
You always inspired me to give up living a lie and finally come out for good. I was out 20 years ago but I just didn't have the courage and confidence to stay out. Now I've FINALLY conquered that. Thanks for everything!!
LOVED this vid, I'm 21 and can remember when there were no other young black men speaking on this year's ago, not on social media or you tube. Feels good not to feel you are the only one in the world. Btw I had to subscribe keep up the good work, you helping a lot of folks.
Dude, everyone has a story... My take on it is that we are all walking talking pieces of literature. You're story is quite valid. Back in the 80's when I was the age that you are now we didn't of course have any social media outlets. We had to face everyone/face the music in person so it made it harder plus with the uprising number of AIDS cases in the black community it was some horrifying times. Thanks for sharing your story. Keep up the good work.
#teamdalvin I’m a lot older than you and I been around the block a couple of times. I’m sorry that your relationship did not work for you but God know what he does and I strongly feel in my heart that the right guy is out there for you. Maybe someone more like you, masculine, athlete, etc... and local. Take your time don’t rush into something new. Lots of love and if you need an ear, I’m here for ya kiddo.
Dove Cameron actually I am almost 50. For your information, I have a BS degree in computer science with a double major in mathematics and secondary certification to teach. I am also a primary care giver to my mother, father, aunt and disabled sister. I have been to Grand Cayman, Italy, Greece, Spain, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Morocco. What I do on my off time is surf the web. When you have done the things I have done then talk to me, until then bye Felecia
You will inspire a lot of people because this needs to be seen to let people see not everyone who is gay is flamboyant but are very masculine and living in there truth and not that it’s something wrong with being flamboyant but what your doing is showing people that they could be themselves and live there truth .. 313 stand up
I came out in 2018; best decision ever and wishin I would have done it earlier. Mine was similar to you. I started dating this guy who is super smart and attractive and rican btw. I fell hard for this guy who has been out for years. He made it super comfortable for me and let me come out at my own speed. 2 months into our relationship I felt like this guy deserved my 100% and being in the closet he was only getting about 30% But ya told my family everyone was very supportive. I lost maybe 1 friend who was a close friend from HS days. But I gained so much more. My happiness, my sanity, and my truth! I did tell myself I would date and come out after I got thru college and got into my career. Sure enough the day after I started working I changed my tinder to both genders and met the man of my dreams within 2 days of swiping lol
I'm glad you started your own channel!!! Yes, you have been a blessing...watched you from D&D Empire. Suggestions - Q&A, Fan calls, Trivia, Vlogs, Best Friend Tag #TeamDalvin
I was checking out your coming out video, like you indicated it is important to have supported people on your side. I agree with everything you are saying because it is not easy. Whoever don't rock with you tell them to kick rocks. It is important to be yourself because it is hard trying to be someone you are not. You seem to be in a good place. I'm happy for you and you do inspire and motivate me.
Im a new subbie here. I'm so happy for you. I pray that everything works out for you in all positive ways. I had it hard when I first came out to. I truly understand!
I'm so glad you realize that you do and still have a purpose in this life.. All I can say you are an inspiration for your generation!! just remember God has no respectful person he loves the homeless man just as well as he love the rich man!!!
Thanks for redoing your coming out story. I saw the first and felt like I wanted more. I definitely got it here. Thanks for really opening up, you're a very genuine and chill guy. I'm bi and masculine as well and not out to my family except my sister. I can really see you as a person and not just sexy lol. Can you do a video on how to identify other dl guys?
What I see about you . I can see how good of a person you are . I can also see how you were raised right. I think you are doing a great thing putting out a platform for others to love themselves no matter what. Nothing but the best for you.. You're dope!!!
Dalvin, the video post is encouraging and uplifting. I thank you for posting your personal story. I listened in twice to be sure I didn’t miss one word.
I love you man. I watched pretty much all your videos and you and even Darrius inspire me. Its so hard to come out. The fear of totally rejection and ridicule is real. I never had the courage to talk openly about issues regarding sexuality. To see you tell your story honestly is so inspiring. I feel like im not alone in this thing. I want to say this to you...ignore all the negativity. I mean Dalvin the good outweighs all the negativity. I like everything your about . Your right...the subscribers and views really don't mean nothing. What matters is your happiness and joy. As a young brother, just keep working providing for yourself, keep learning/growing, and above all keep the faith. Always remain close to God because that's where the true value lies.
People keep saying that we chose to be this way and like I told my family I tried to be the way everyone wanted me to be but I realized it was something I couldn’t change about myself no matter how hard I tried to . If we tried to do what everyone else wanted us to do we wouldn’t be happy so I’m glad you had the support needed to feel loved 💯
I commend you for speaking out on your personal story, I know for me coming out as a cross dresser at the age of 14 was difficult & starting my transition from male to female early 20's.I support the lgbtq community to the fullest, even though some may not get along & not know each other i will always have love
I ❤️ and ✊ your channel, thanks for the advises and the support. 🙏🏾 for taking the time in redoing your coming out video, it means a lot to me as a person who has not made the decision to come out. Thank you #Dalvin 😍💕
After watching the video I finally came out to my family and they thought i was joking until I actually set down with them and explain it to them from my heart. Thank you for helping me to understand the truth
@ItzDalv0 thank you for sharing your story it's very brave of you to talk about it and i know it's not easy for a black man to come out as you did and you are going to help out the world someday i can see you as a motivator speaker towards the gay community and it's dope
So much love for you Dalvin 💕 all the way from the United Kingdom. So glad your doing your own UA-cam channel, had me panicked for a minute. All the best for the future X
Very inspiring! You are blessed and you are blessing and helping others! I would love to see your Mom and some of you family talk about how your coming out affected them personally. Keep up the good work! #TeamDalvin

Dal you is doing a good a job really good job cause I never tell my parents or brother or sister that I am bisexual Matter fact I never tell my whole people except one or two that in what I'm . But when you say those good things made me feel good inside cause I know who I am and I know who I like . But long I am responsible for myself and Dal for that speech and appreciate for that speech make the story short . You continue do a good job😁😁❤️❤️

I know that you're hurting but everything will be okay just put God first and if it was meant for you and him to get back together you will he misses you too so on that note God bless and be safe and make better decisions for yourself love love and love life from my my
Hey dude! Glad you decided to keep doing a channel and didn't stop. Want you to know that I'm gonna keep supporting you on this next adventure. You have a wonderful story to tell and inspire others who feel they're by themselves. So again thanks for keeping your voice out in the public sphere 👍🏾❤👍🏾
the negative thing about it dalvin is straight folks you cool with will tell you they aint against you but say how would you know you like guys if you never been with neither sexes but then i'll be like cuz yo body and feeling will let you know before you know and then they tell me but you havent givin girls a try but how in the hell i can give girls a try when i have completely no sexual feeling or reactions when they get closer on me but like i said god will show u signs who's for u and who's not even when you explain to folks in numerous ways they still wont except and understand your true but everybody different
Your experience isn't mine, but I've got to say, you're quite inspiring, intelligent, positive, and brave. Keep it up, dude. Keep it up. You're doing wonderfully. Lavender Jack...Swooping On Down.
That is my thought too, why would you make that choice. People just always judge, I agree with you Dalvin! Keep going in this direction and you will succeed.
I been out for about a year if not a year but your the reason why I want to make a coming out video cause I just want to let it been know cause most of my family doesn’t know but some does and I think a video will clear everything up thanks for the video G 💯 really inspired me been watching since you DD empire

I did tell myself I would date and come out after I got thru college and got into my career. Sure enough the day after I started working I changed my tinder to both genders and met the man of my dreams within 2 days of swiping lol
Wow. This was legit so inspiring bro. Real talk💯. Continue to be humble and transparent. I respect it👌🏾
I have to say glad to see that you being you now. I'm here for you and love you putting yourself out there like this.
I'm glad you started your own channel!!! Yes, you have been a blessing...watched you from D&D Empire. Suggestions - Q&A, Fan calls, Trivia, Vlogs, Best Friend Tag #TeamDalvin
Jamie Baxley: Those are some good suggestions for him. Glad you suggested them! #TeamDavin
It's an easier world now. 2018 is when everybody can be themselves
Your story is inspiring. I'm glad you can share some what similar to mines
Yo you are probably the most humble and down to earth person that I've ever watched on UA-cam
I still support you 100%#TeamDalvin
What I see about you . I can see how good of a person you are . I can also see how you were raised right. I think you are doing a great thing putting out a platform for others to love themselves no matter what. Nothing but the best for you.. You're dope!!!
Dalvin, the video post is encouraging and uplifting. I thank you for posting your personal story. I listened in twice to be sure I didn’t miss one word.
i just now understood the intro 😂
He’s handsome and so kind
People keep saying that we chose to be this way and like I told my family I tried to be the way everyone wanted me to be but I realized it was something I couldn’t change about myself no matter how hard I tried to . If we tried to do what everyone else wanted us to do we wouldn’t be happy so I’m glad you had the support needed to feel loved 💯
Keep being strong Dalv0 you found your strength it can only get better from here with the right actions
I commend you for speaking out on your personal story, I know for me coming out as a cross dresser at the age of 14 was difficult & starting my transition from male to female early 20's.I support the lgbtq community to the fullest, even though some may not get along & not know each other i will always have love

You are a very kind person and some day this channel will grow big and you will know you did it. Keep inspiring💗
the negative thing about it dalvin is straight folks you cool with will tell you they aint against you but say how would you know you like guys if you never been with neither sexes but then i'll be like cuz yo body and feeling will let you know before you know and then they tell me but you havent givin girls a try but how in the hell i can give girls a try when i have completely no sexual feeling or reactions when they get closer on me but like i said god will show u signs who's for u and who's not even when you explain to folks in numerous ways they still wont except and understand your true but everybody different
Yay dalvo you have your own awesome
U funny as hell lol,but I be here from start to finish no matter wat
