Hi, Oh! It's been almost a month since UA-camr 'Kevin Frasard' has been active on his channel. Any chance if you know how he's doing? It's just he hasn't been on in a few weeks... I send all great positive energy your way, Dude, and keep rocking! \m/
Ola, I just lost a nephew yesterday. 6month old beautiful baby boy. My wifes family, and they are devastated. If I may, you brother bring a certain peace to my soul. Hearing your stories, your sense of humor along with your guitar playing is good medicine. You give me that genuine brother feeling just like Dimebag did. Thank you for being you bro. A lot of musicians become something else with their rockstar status and that sucks. I always appreciate what you do for the guitar community but had to let you know that even in bad times your videos are uplifting (Didn't know of another word at the moment). But you are an encouragement to me bro in all ways. But more so for me to be me. Life is really short and full of ups and downs that knock you in the dirt. But if you got friends that in some way encourage you to keep on,..it gives you strength to fight thru the downs. Thank you. Brothers in Riffs.
Prayers for you and your family to have peace through this hard time. Once I get my self a rig working and sounding great I will also be doing my part in the guitar community to be uplifting of others and be there to make laughs for people. Stay safe bro.
Thank y'all very much. My ex decided to dump me on the day of this baby's funeral. After I got up in front of everybody and shared the eulogy, a FB post from a co parent then prayer. Not one of the so called men in this family had the guts to voice their love over this baby. I did.
@@mpwhiteloon2316 I feel for you a little less after that last line of bullshit. It's not really your place to say somebody is lesser when they're simply grieving too much to speak on the subject matter that's affecting them. I wasn't there, but you had better respect your fellow man when they're grieving too. You're no better than them just cause you spoke. You just ran your mouth when they took the moment of silence for the lost.
Ola! Thank you so much for all the kind words and the walk down memory lane! Wow! I can't believe it has been 9 years since we built that prototype; I forgot I still had my old logo back then. I hope all is going great for you and the family and I look forward to seeing you again the next time you roll through Cleveland. You are by far one the coolest cats I've ever had the pleasure of knowing and I appreciate how genuinely real, honest, and a man of integrity you have always been. The other wood in the neck is walnut :-) And, yes, the extended scale does take some added effort to play, lol! My personal 36"-34" multiscale S7G Bass is way more work to play than my 34" Roscoe 7-string bass; I feel your pain! Take good care of yourself, my brother. It has been a blessing to have had you be a part of my life. Peace, Jim Strictly 7 Guitars/S7G
I love how honest he's about his past endorsements. Giving credit where it's due. Even more impressive considering that now he has his own successful guitar company. 👍 Cheers to you Ola. You sweet swede 🤘
The tone is just beyond incredible, so beefy and massive while super clear and articulate, omg, I could watch you chugging on the lower strings like for hours
I always find that 7 strings are my ideal guitar, since playing my mates last year or so I fell in love with the low grunt and how it was so easy to access low tunings but at the same time the ease of playing in standard tuning, just love 7 strings
Hey Ola, really digging this "My Guitar" series. There's nothing like pulling out an old favorite you've haven't played in awhile, tuning it up and going, "Damn, this thing sounds fuckin' awesome."
It's great to hear that it still sounds just as badass as way back when, in my opinion this guitar really created *thee* quintessential Ola tone it just gives me that shit-eating grin every time I hear it. keep up the great work Ola, see ya on Discord!

I think I would enjoy that guitar much. I own a 27,7 inch scale 6-string baritone, and I thoroughly enjoying the fact that really have to dig in, and the guitar kinda pushes back a bit. Like the series, keep more coming!
Really like this vid series. As a guy who is just learning about differences in gear it’s great to hear someone with some working experience with this stuff.
Amazing, i loved watch you playing forever old and devil in white, its been a while. In my opinion your older albums are the best ones, im not saying the new material is not good, but i loved that super chug u used to play back in the day. I can see in a way where the sound came from with the longer scale you were kind of obligated to create super tight powerful riffs i think you used this guitar for furor incarnatus.
Will it chug used to be my favorite video series you made, but these guitar set-up and play again videos might have taken over the most popular spot for me. It would be interesting to see you buy a new guitar, do a test play through, then start taking things off that guitar and replacing them with the brands you like. Maybe you could buy a guitar off reverb/e-bay based off specs that you like and see if it can hold a candle to your touring/workshop guitars after you've done some Ola upgrades?
My buddy still owns his S7G solar, I can fully agree a cool guitar especially for low tunings (his has a tremel-no blocking the trem, Recently fitted with fishmans, Drop G 8-68 if i remember correctly) sounds amazing feels solid, I personally love that guitar and hope to own a Solar.

I think it sounds freakin awesome on the low and top end. Most of my guitars have a Duncan distortion in the bridge. I have one with the distortion in the back and a jb smashed right next to it and a 59 on the neck. I just put a switch to choose the distortion or the jb, between the two. Works pretty good when you change to leads on the jb or back to the distortion for the insane rhythms.
