I don’t understand why people hate on alpha destiny so much he is very logical and he is genuinely trying to help people I loved this message Alex keep pushing out great content like this brother.
haters gonna hate
Because with success comes hate
People hate on him, not for his personality, but for his training philosophy "Yoke training". Most people see it as a suboptimal way to gain strength and size. Honestly, I agree. I don't hate Alex though, he's just preaching what he believes. We may not agree but he sticks to his ideals and I respect that above all things.
@@kakashihatake4180 those traps don't lie lol.
do the novice training, nothing there about yoke training. and anyways yoke training and neck are very relevant to how you look, there is no reasons to ignore that body part. bodbuilding is about looking good and strong, and your yoke is more important than guns.

Agree. On the internet 25-50% say I look like crap, but in person and even to gym people they say I'm jacked.
You don't have to look like the great natural Simeon Panda. haha
Haha no doubt
This video is spot on. Even as a novice who's only been lifting for a few months I went into the grocery store with a tank top and was surprised when I had the largest delts out of everyone in the store. In the gym I'm still one of the smallest people, but it's completely different when I'm outside of the gym. As lifters we get too caught up in long term goals of achieving physiques that we obsess over the end long term goal and forget the day to day victories and gains we make in our fitness journeys that bring us closer to big goals.
right ON
"Dont compare yourself to others, but to your's yesterday self"
Looking in the mirror in the gym when having a mad pump in perfect lighting..thats the physique we chase. But as we grow, our pump grows so we will never be satisfied. Well a wise man once said: "be proud, but never satisfied".
@Adolf Hitler bet, u still aint satisfied even after they put u in the grave. u still haven't left us.
@@pmarmemr8164 lol bro
Im starting to notice how small certain people look. My standards are so high on how a muscular physique should look like. Oh and Im never satisfied with my own even though people around me are always complimenting it. Lol
The only person you should compare yourself to is the guy you were last week.
also last month
Yeah I had a word document from when I first started with my stats and I was like holy shit im 5* as strong
Every time I see Alex old videos I realize how valuable his mindset progression can be for young men, I’m thankful that he didn’t delete these videos. Yes Alex got better, his arms that longtime weak point have grown but the moral of the story is that you need to be happy now, if you’re not happy now 18 inch arms won’t change that, it’s why steroids don’t fulfill a lifter. Work hard and love the work.
Thank you, I really needed to hear that
What a great message. Even besides people on the Internet, just at my gym I will see myself as the smallest person there. However at my Job I’m considered the ‘work out guy’ and the fittest person there even though I am light-years from my full potential.

Dude, you have no idea how much I needed to hear this. Been feeling really bad about my body lately, but I'm literally in the best shape of my fucking life! You hit everything on point man. We as men need to do this more often, life each other up instead of trying to out-alpha one another. Mad respect.
I'm glad that this video resonated with you brother, keep walking your own path and enjoy the gains my friend.
Alex is the realest fitness youtuber without a doubt!
You know who the stick is
Natty Snack Daddy stick?
This video is super old, but keep in mind your first year you will get decent gains, but you can get even more through effective training. Most noobs fall off, or don't train in an effective way.
I realized this watching the Olympia this year. I'm so used to seeing shredded and huge guys all the time that it doesn't even impress me anymore.
I feel you bro
I clicked that this was timed to coincide directly with the Olympia halfway through it was a good vid Alex your ability to make decently original content is so refreshing it's actually one of the best things about the channel
The ONLY person you should be comparing yourself to is the person you were yesterday.
So true
I just hit 3 plates on the bench a few months ago and it felt good for about a half a day. I cant get 405 out of my head lol. I needed this video
That's a very good accomplishment! If you want to get 405 though, I say go for it! Just try not to get injured in the process.
@@adryncharn1910 I have been benching 2-3 days a week since I posted that lol, I'm currently stuck at 385 for the past few months. If I do get to 405 it might be another year. I will get there though it's become an obsession

Not sure how, but your videos always generally seem unique in content, even though I've been following you for years.
you a boring person
All these ”hot” people who are on steroids claiming to be natural make me wanna fucking annihilate half the fitness industry. They’re the ones getting all the credit and think because they promote bullshit products that it makes them eligible to give fitness advice. The REAL naturals are getting very little credit and this shit needs to change.
Yes so go subscribe to the last natural on youtube
I remember in your old videos where you used to have a huge ego but seems like you've matured a lot this year and appear way more humble. Respect
Thank you ggm88.
Alex is such a great speaker man, he is so damn motivating and encouraging at the same time
You're making so much sense to me. I am not young at 57 years old...I don't like comparing myself the the enhanced guys who are on the internet....I think that is a way to feel like shit about myself. I compare myself to other regular men my age and compare myself to a year ago...I am making improvment daily...that's what counts.
Very few in the industry are as real as Alex. Thanks man you’ve kept me natty every time I fell like making the jump
Alex is like a Brofessor making a presentation on gainz. Well done sir

I'm just reaching the "strong" category now. I want to be considered "very strong" or "extremely strong" at some point though!
Good stuff mate, people need to hear this more often.
This video also translates to many other areas of life. I am a creative writer and am constantly beating up on myself for not being able to write the perfect screenplay. I need to understand that some targets aren't meant to be hit.
I do 100lb chin-ups for a few reps. I have great back development and biceps, but there are times when I compare myself to stronger people and feel like I'm small. Then I realise that most people struggle to do a few chin-ups, and people admire me when I'm doing chin-ups with over half of my bodyweight attached to my waist for reps. I have pretty bad body dysmorphia and need to take stock and be proud of my progress, and continue to get stronger in the process.
I've been training for the past year and your channel has helped me in massive amounts. This video pretty much have me the motivation to think I'm stronger Jan what I've thought. The highest I had deadlifted was 100lbs. Today I got to 140 Romanian for 5 reps!
This video was inspirational. Definitely one of your best Alex, keep up the good work! Always looking forward to your uploads.
Thanks Alex. You made me feel so much better about myself. You killed a lot of body dysmorphia with this one.
I'm happy to hear that brother
Alphadestiny fighting body dysmorphia one video at a time💪🏼
Alex ... from an old boy , you are right my friend...
Spot on ...
This is one of the most important videos that a gym goer could ever watch. So often guys (including myself) are way to hard on themselves. I learn everyday to appreciate the small improvements here and there. Sometimes I fail to achieve something, but sometimes I thrive, and that's the beauty of it. To learn that this is part of the process, such as it is part of so many things in life. But so often we forget that this is what really matters, because we always compare ourselves with other people. Thanks for the video, it's very necessary. I hope it reaches a lot of people
This video is amazing. Fuck comparing yourself to others man. Keep grinding and focusing on self development and you’ll be happy as hell!
very encouraging and motivating. i really appreciate it
This video and article really puts things into perspective...
Have to play this on a daily basis during quarantine 💪
Good advice bro. It never matters how you compare to others but only how well you're doing relative to your own genetic potential.
Agreed, NEVER compare your progress to anyone else's. Focus on yourself and yourself only. Great video, Alex!
Bro. Knowledge aside... you're intertaining as heck to watch/listen to. Keep it up def found your niche.
Lol this guy is serious about his shit .. 365 bench press at 164 lbs that is ant strength.
The only thing you should compare your physique with should be with a year old photo of yours.
You are allowed to feel like shit if you don't look better than it. And you are allowed to feel pride if you look better than it.
Convert competitive emotions into self development tools!
One of your better videos 100%
I needed too hear this.
Good shit man.
Amazing video! Perspective is everything!! Thanks Alex.
this got me really motivated, thank you
Thanks for these pep talks my dude. When I started out lifting, I was a bit discouraged in not seeing the results in looking like a "pro". And I'll be honest, I still have that issue and think I'm just naturally weak since I've been benching just one plate for months. You are right tho in that I REALLY need to stop comparing myself to others and stay focusing on ME! What I want for a better body and not try to do a sculpture of a stranger's.
You’re the man Alex, keepin it real
As always, great words there Alex!
