    Thank you so much... I'm a 17 year old guy that goes to a school full of caring people but I still cannot help but feel judged all the time... I've been really suffering and my mind has been on full throttle for too long, I always feel like everything is too much for me. I use youtube as a remedy. I watch my favorite youtubers and they make me laugh and smile more than I do with my friends in real life. No matter who i'm with, i feel so... different, I feel so boring and it has destroyed my confidence in any thing I do. My family can't afford to get me a therapist or anything of the sort. These videos, though i just found them today, have helped me so much already. Thank you from the bottom, sides, middle, and top of my heart.

      +adza botchy Maybe you are not boring or strange... maybe you are an introvert?

      +kristonren well... i dont really think i am introverted. I find lots of energy in talking to other people, i like talking to other but i just can't do it. my words get stuck in the throat, i just can't think of anything to say and it destroys my confidence.

      +adza botchway hang in there. It's not about being judged. Is about loving and accepting yourself for who you are. FYI Look in the the miracle morning, ITs helped me tremendously in the past month and 1/2. Keep doing things that you love and fulfill you and you will find your place. Its not about fitting in, its about being yourself.

      Kirsten Van Lienden yes, I love that!! I also imagine thoughts or worries as cans floating by on a river, or clouds up above me while I’m peacefully meditating at the bottom of a clear lake. I love the balloon idea, too though; I heard it from them before in a meditation to let go of worries, didn’t apply it to thoughts until I heard this one! 🥰🥰

      I enjoy this. In one more day I'll be driving out of town to attend my 61st high school class reunion. Indeed things have changed. Just after this meditation, my Spirit carried me back to the music and happiness of our school "sockhops" (dances) and Motown music and the beautiful music of the Platters & Chuck Berry. Meditation is more than just releasing anxieties, it's also a trip back into our previous realm of conscious love. Remember your first kiss 💋?

      FatalBipGR This type of meditation is great for anxiety. Its good practice on how you need to deal with anxious thoughts.

    • @10Elmer10
      @10Elmer10 7 років тому +32

      FatalBipGR Key word is acceptance. You have to stop trying to control your thoughts and your anxiety and just accept it.

    • @10Elmer10
      @10Elmer10 7 років тому +139

      FatalBipGR Just let the anxiety consume you. Once you realize that anxiety cant hurt you, you'll lose your anxiety towards anxiety. as weird as that sounds. Anxious people are anxious about being anxious. Just treat anxiety as a separate entity from you. Its an annoyance that of you starve it of attention, will slowly fade. The key to recovery is acceptance and just do what you love. Enjoy your hobbies, enjoy the people in your life. This is temporary. Its not easy. But with time you will become disciplined and will be able to control your anxiety.

    Some interesting thoughts I'd like to share...
    My Experience with Meditation
    Mindfulness meditation is great tool you can use to help clear your mind from the myriad sea of thoughts that randomly pop in and out of existence in your head which prevent you from seeing the world for what it really is. Just started taking it seriously and played around with it recently and wow, it truly is such an amazing feeling when you transition in and out of that meditative state. Coming out of it, you become more fully aware of your surroundings. You're no longer lost in thought (at least for a while, depending on how effective your meditation is) and you become more focused with whatever you're doing. There's just this burst of excitement after you come out of it and you're just fascinated by everything around you. It's like you've been born back into this world again.
    Coming out of mediation feels great and improves your perception of reality, but that's only one part of the experience. When you successfully enter the meditative state is where things start getting interesting. The state of nothingness- no thought or feeling at all, IS the meditative state. Letting go of your thoughts and being a thoughtless poo is a bit hard and tedious at first (for those that are so used to constantly thinking/worrying all the time), but over time, with practice, you'll get better at releasing your mind from your thoughts and eventually enter that state of nothingness faster*Maybe the longer you remain in that state, the higher the form of consciousness/view of reality you will come back with?*. Your thoughts of what other people think of you, your anxieties, your worries; all the bullshit you're thinking that's preventing you from actually doing the things that you want to do- everything just shuts off and you enter this new state of existence that's separate from both your mind and your body... A little taste of nirvanna
    It's such a euphoric, blissful state to be in. Some call it Jesus, nature, god, your higher self, whatever that thing is; you start feeling this strong, deep connection to something that's greater than you (at least from my experience)
    Transitioning back into the world from that state is even more bizarre, haha. It's like you've just came out of your mother's womb, or you've awaken from this really deep hypersleep. You're basically brought back into this world with a refreshed state of mind and you start becoming more focused and aware of this game we're all participating in. You're all like, wow, I just came out of that nothingness, and here I am now. Maybe that's what these luminaries: Tesla, Einstein, Newton, Mozart, the Buddha, etc- have gone through. Maybe it's this realization and intense concentration on reality that allowed them to play the game more efficiently and/or produce such great works? Gah, here I go again lost in thought, spouting out this mindless brabble like some kind of crazed lunatic again...
    I guess it's about time I enter that state again; I really need to get that firm, fully focused grip on reality.
    Definitely need to do a vlog on this sometime in the future

      Thank you Christian for such a well written post. I am just starting to practice and learn about Mindfulness and am totally blown away by the effect it has had on me. A chronic worrier, overthinker and filled with anxiety, I am now learning to let go of all that and live in the present. I read a wonderful quote somewhere "we can only experience love, compassion, the environment and the universe at this very moment. All else is an illusion". Unfortunately, the author was not cited and so I don't know who wrote it, but it has totally changed my life and my way of looking at things. Mindfulness meditations have been helping me to remember this and to stay focused on the present. As I said, I am a newbie to all of this, and the depth of my meditative state is still quite shallow, but I know with practicing it daily it will deepen and outside thoughts will become less and less. Again, a sincere thanks for your thoughts on Mindfulness. It all made sense to me and has encouraged me to keep on learning about it. xoxoxoxo

    One tip for all is to have a Mantra. Repeat that mantra. It doesnt have to be Om. But your mantra. Ex. "I am free". Repeat this mantra in your head for the 10 minutes that you are doing meditation. While doing the things mentioned in this video. Having a mantra further increases your focus and helps to prevent thoughts coming in. Slowly when you have mastered this then you can try without the mantra!

    At first when I heard about mindfulness I honestly thought it was a load of rubbish but once I was shown it from my first experience It genuinely took so much of my stress away. I'm a 17 year old student really struggling with the stress and anxiety of school at the moment, I felt like I was stuck and had no way of reliving this stress that was seriously affecting me. These guided meditation videos have helped me so much, stress is so underrated in young adults and teenagers, depression and self harm numbers are rising year on year. If mindfulness was taught in schools and collages I believe it would really benefit a lot of young people with the stresses that they are faced with today. There's not enough help out there for teenagers such as myself and this is why they become quickly sucked into the depression hole with no way of knowing how to get back out. So I want to thank the people who make these videos because I'm sure they're really benefitting a lot of people just like me.

      I myself came here too to relieve stress and anxiety caused by university. It is insane how many students are struggling with stress to a point where they resort to drugs and alcohol because they don’t know how else to feel relaxed anymore. Why is the modern world so eager to break the spirits of young, talented people and refuse to even give them a chance to show what they have got? If you can’t withstand the pressure, no matter how intelligent you are, they drop you...

    I was broken into pieces the moment I confronted my weakness. I was agitated by the fact that I had reacted in such a way when the person had not even been speaking to me directly
    I frequently encountered these situations, and the following was my fleeting mechanism:
    1. I listened to music or watched a film to shift my focus away to something irrelevant
    2. I went to a nearby cafe.
    3. I made unnecessary phone calls with friends and gloated about something
    I continuously practiced physical relaxation methods instead of choosing to escape. The coffee shop truly was the optimal place to practice. I realized why I had wanted to go home early before. At home, no one would attack my vulnerability.

      I 100% agree. I'm an infantry vet from Operation Iraqi Freedom and have had A LOT of anxiety, anger and depression issues until recently. I started Yoga through my therapist and meditation at the suggestion of my wife and this was the first video I watched and it was an INSTANT life changer. I do this about 3 times a day and also add an extra video at times if I'm having a really rough time. But to the creator (s) of this particular session/video, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know it sounds stupid to a lot of folks, but this has legitimately changed my life. So, again, thank you!

    You know... The first time I ever meditated was with this video, in 2016. My leave from work due to severe depression had been extended and I was frustrated, I wanted my life back. I can't remember how or why but I found information on "mindfulness" and how it helped with depression, so I came to UA-cam to see if there was anything. I'm still so grateful I found this video, I remember the first time I played it was the first time I felt at peace in years... 6 years later and I still come back to it sometimes, especially when my regular unguided practice doesn't cut it. Thank you so much, sending you love

    It was weird.
    When it was time to let go of the colored balloons (represented by my own thoughts), my head kept on moving forward and backward, just like lying my head on the waves of the sea. It was smooth yet continuous. The moving stopped after the meditation. In the end, I felt like I was in another world, attaining personal peace that I sought for months. I felt the comfort and confidence that I once had.
    Thank you for making these kind of videos. May they serve as instruments of attaining inner peace.
