Could you make a wiring harness for one of these? I just pulled one along with a 1000 series allison out of a retired FedEx fleet truck. After I rebuild it I'm going to need to try and reuse the one it has or find someone who can make a custom one. I have both ECM and TCM.
We sell the wiring harness for the 6BTA, should be pretty much the same. I strongly recommend you adapt the harness yourself, it's not too hard, and then you'll know every wire and connection on your engine.
@@SeaboardMarineIncVideos is it possible to have a 48 volt alternator or even an external dc converter instead? The thing seems capable of being used as generator.
Dear Friend This is hygge lin. Seeing that you are in the engine cooler industry.I think you might be intersted in our products. We have produced many coolers for our customer, such as Yanmar 12AYM-WST,Yanmar 6 AYM,cummins 6BTA 4BTA and so on. Look forward to hear from you,we can send you some case.
@@tonyathens6929 Yup, you were promoting them for Jeep installation, just pointing out they are not setup for clutch use. Works great for your marine use , as it being SAE housing and flywheel.
I really can't think of a worse engine for "off-roading". Versatile used 4Bs for a while in their bi-directional, hydrostatically-driven farm tractors and then started using Ford 4-cylinder diesels. The lack of balance shafts or a balancer assembly make them a rattling, shaking joke for variable-speed automotive use. I think UPS had some in some of their trucks but they have a lot more 6Bs. They're fine for constant-speed gen-set or pump use but as an "automotive" engine they suck ass. 700 lbs for 125 hp? Yeah. Great fit in a 1/4-ton Jeep. And yes, I'm aware there are lots of guys that have done it. But anyone who doesn't look at the power to weight ratio alone and realize they could swap in damn near any other engine around EXCEPT a 6B and have a lot more power and a lot less weight isn't exactly mechanically inclined enough to make an informed decision on repower options.
Chad Meyer These were used so much for the off rd market that Cummins has recently came out with a crate motor that meets emmision requirements designed to fit in off rd vehicles
Chad Meyer I’d love to put a diesel in my 97 wrangler. I live in Nashville, TN. Who do you recommend that could do this for me. What transmission do I need? Thank you
@@leesire I'm looking at the R2.8 Turbo Diesel Cummins (Still doing more research) to put in an 2011 Range Rover Full Size (Once the timing chain bites the dust again). I'm a little south of Nashville, but how would emissions do with the swap? We do not have emissions in Maury.

Genuine cummins 4bt from china?
Cummins has several factories in China that produce geniune engines for Cummins and being sold worldwide.
Thanks for info I never realized they assembled any of them in China I am actually shocked about that
Precio de uno de esos ??
I don't know but i just hate how loud they are
This is a indistrial engine, not automotive. You need to change the bell housing and flywheel
The 6 cylinder parts may fit, dont know.
Actually they were built by Cummins for Kamatso loaders -- Takes all the same bolt-ons as as any 4B or 6B..
