- Rise of the Ronin is the next PS5 exclusive arriving later this month. While we wait for March 22nd, we managed to play through the first few hours of the game, so tune in our a fresh look at some new 4K gameplay and to hear our initial impressions.

Right! People also confuse art directiob with graphics. Like Battlefield 5 looks GRAPHICALLY better than BF1, but BF1 has the hands down better art direction so it makes that game look better. I care more about how smooth the games play. Rise of the Ronin looks like they focused on smoothness and environmental/effect graphics instead of putting everything into character models. I hope this game is great because I want to pick this up on release

Just the graphics never improve on leaps and bounds from original Xbox days is the thing that draws me away from them. Way behind the curve for AAA. I think I’ll wait and play it on PC where at least you should be able to tweak the horrible anisotropic filtering and pop in.

Atmosphere is important for an open world game. It has to draw you in. The poor visuals will most definitely make this game less enjoyable to play.
I’m glad this is easier than Wo Long, I couldn’t get pass the Monkey boss in the second level lol

Wolong was actually the only team ninja game I finished. Only got halfway through both niohs. I just always get distracted at some point with other games and come back months later and forgot what how to play and restart
@@exia7777 agreed. wu long is pizz ez tbh. the hardest boss for me was the first boss and lu bu. and both of them took me under 2 hrs. most soul games boss on avg takes me 2 hrs or more.

I'm not even good at souls games the only one I ever beat is elden ring which is easy compared to darksouls
It gives me a lot of older Assassins Creed vibes… and I’m 100% okay with that.
Folks have a different opinion about game all the time and sometimes I see different folks play game don't like but this game I like what I see, so day one to me💯
As a gamer with additional support needs. Glad to hear it's more accessible, can't wait play.
Both Dragons Dogma 2 and Rise of the Ronin are releasing the same day so it's gonna be tough choice which to play first. Gonna look out for the reviews and see which sounds like the better choice.
Thank goodness I could never get into the souls-like type of combat so I don’t have to decide between two games in the same day 😅.
I would say Buy DD2 and gameshare ROR or wait for a sale for ROR. This is what I’m doing, But this completely based on what type of games you like if you like games like ninja Gaiden, and maybe souls like, assassins creeds or if you like samurai games, or if you like HUGE, “big brained” no hand holding rpg where fights are longer like monster Hunter. Both these games have a very distinct niche
I guess the choice is shitty graphics or shitty framerate 😂
Spoiler alert: Dogma 2 will have better reviews, won’t even be close

I like the whole samurai thing so never played a game like this before quietly optimistic.
I'm optimistic about this game, apart from graphics everything feels good. Getting it now.
I was hyped until I watched Fighting Cowboys thoughts on it. As a Souls content creator hearing the combat is a step down from previous games is disheartening. But as someone who doesn’t usually harp on visuals, hearing him go on and on about how dated this game looks and feels is really disheartening. I was hoping it was at least in a similar ballpark as Ghost of Tsushima, a PS4 title. Although personally I still think Like A Dragon Ishin looks awesome so I probably won’t mind as much as most and this will scratch an itch until Tsushima 2. I’m still going to check it out but considering Dragon’s Dogma 2 is launching the same day the choice is definitely clear which one I’ll be playing first.
DD2 is so original and incredible with its open world. This game feels so average and samey

Looks very nice, but still to difficult for me. I'll just admit that I like to cheese it. Like Ubisoft allows me to do so in the AC: Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla games. I'm in it for the experience, not the challenge. Even Zelda BoTW and TotK are too diffucult for me when it comes to straight on combat. I just suck. But at least these games allow for stealth and have ways to defeat enemy's faster/more easily. Rise of the Ronin looks too difficult for me, so I'm not sure if I'll pick this one up.
Something is wrong with a color palate and lightning. Art direction looks very bad.

@@mikegutierrez6227we’re talking art direction which isn’t graphics. You can have a game with low fidelity that still looks visually pleasing like BOTW and Elden Ring. This one not only has bad graphics but bad art direction.

I just want a stable performance game to release at this point I couldn’t care how shit or how good the game itself is I just want it to actually run as intended
People complain about graphics all day, but Bloodborne is one of the greatest games ever and it’s played a lot to this day. I’d rather play a game with the art direction and gameplay of Bloodborne with smoother frames, than a game that looks like Horizon Forbidden West and runs at 30fps and loses it’s wow factor very early.
The problem is there’s Sekiro which I still haven’t mastered, Ghost of Tushima, this game and the coming AC samurai game. All are different but in a similar open world. Not sure what to get after Sekiro but I don’t want four samurai games. Also, why not ninjas…could be a welcome change….

I dont care if it looks great and has awesome Systems when i already got Headache from just looking at it. Pretty sure it will be a great Game since i also loved the First one. But for me its not a Game im gonna play Day 1 especially not on Console.

I've seen in other videos they say there is performance/quality modes and then a ray tracing mode.

Why are the graphics for this game worse than the 2020 PS4 version of Ghost of Tsushima in 2024 on the PS5? Gameplay looks cool, though not a fan of the animations, character models, and UI.
Movement looks so janky, it puts me off more than the graphics

Good, but it has been way overhyped. It feels very arcade-y too me. Idk how else to explain it.
@@travisspazz1624 I played it and I felt so bored the Arcady non important gameplay and fights with honestly terrible AI enemies. I felt so empty and confused playing it I just stopped. But if you’re enjoying it glad you are.
@@1kbmahanfor me I really love the combat, simple yet satisfying...the AI is not too dumb. Sometimes 2 or 3 enemies will attack you at once. The side quests are boring af and the story is meh but the exploration is good (especially because of the gorgeous graphic and lack of waypoints and markers..making finding something rewarding)
But yes the world feels empty (as in no in depth npc interaction like in rdr2)..only some random animals and random combat encounters when exploring. So I understand if some ppl feel disappointed with the game

Yea the graphics don’t look great , especially when compared to some of the better ps4 titles like ghost of Tushima or last of us 2 but I don’t know about ps3 era graphics that I see a lot of people talking about, definitely not a current gen Sony exclusive looking title.
The graphics are still really ordinary though. It looks more like PS4. The Pop in is bad even in that cinematic cutscene of the ship. Check out the sails that draw in as you watch and the anisotropic filtering is extremely low. It might look good once it comes to PC with some enhancements though.
At least unlike FFVII rebirth it does have decent reactive foliage though so that is a huge plus for immersion.
Ninja games were never about graphics but gameplay and the graphics look fine to me
