      I love this stuff. I go speed skating with my bonts Luna 13.2 inch frame. I go commute around wearing a running vest for emergency shoes.

    bro... you're a GOD lol! I'm from Montreal as well and as a cyclist I'm very familiar with the spots you're going through. The level of skill you show in this footage is just mind blowing to me. I'm making house music while watching your footage and it's inspiring! I'm having a blast lol! Thanks for sharing your incredible art and I hope you stay safe throughout your journey. Cheers!

    The most amazing is that you avoid all the pot holes of montreal streets. Youve got some skills.

    Careful on the roads down here! Montreal is legendary for pot holes and construction cones everywhere 😂 Bienvenue a Montreal! Mange pas trop de poutine mais la bierre est bonne 😉

    Old competitor of yours back in the day, came in 2nd after you of course a couple times, one doing a relay with Josh Woods and you were with Jeremy Anderson, and another one in Arizona Race and I can never forget experiencing racing behind you at San Francisco Marathon in 2009 with the power you had but ya even as your competitor I was still a fan of you and brag once in awhile that ya, I raced the world champ a handful of times. Having said all that senseless chatter haha, I remember before I got into speed I used to just put my rollerblades on and skate outside and had so much fun just like what I'm seeing you do in the video. I stopped racing a long time ago because I was just over it, but it's so much fun to keep doing what we love because that's why we all got into it. Keep living your life man and glad you are just having fun! And Lastly, be safe man, no matter how good we are, there are tons of crazy drivers these days and skating as fast as you are on the streets like that, I just would hate to hear if something bad happened so be careful. Just about every cyclist I know has been hit by a car out here in SoCal and it's in more open road than what I'm seeing in your video. Peace!

    Good on you Joey. The internet knows that you rock in so many ways. Don't let the one trick ponies drag you down. Your plyometrics video is one of the greatest things ever.. "This is a MAX EFFORT" rofl

    kudos joey! i speed skate in upstate new york but mainly on the few bikepaths we have. watching your slowing techniques was encouraging as to what i've figured out. i prolly won't be playing in traffic like you but i'm almost 78, so that's my excuse 😉

    How do you bear the vibration on the carbon boots? Every time I try urban my skates go brrrrrrr and I'm like "nope". Very smooth filming, pleasure to watch, add more racing if possible (safety number one of course)

    • @JoeyMantiaSkates
      @JoeyMantiaSkates  4 місяці тому +6

      Some roads were really obnoxious, some were really smooth. I guess the excitement drowns out some of that vibrations with endorphins kicking through traffic. I also lived on skates as a kid so a lot of the annoyances don't really bother me probably
