Yes I rotate it slowly in reverse to check it, I dont think its dangerous if you go slowly. You don't want to run it at full speed in reverse because your driving the concrete against the bottom bearing.
Hi John Neufeld, How are you? How do you compare the quality of concrete produced by Volumetric with concrete produced by traditionally (Batching Plant)? Thanks, John
I can monitor live with high accuracy the proportions of each ingredient going into the mix, to make sure I'm putting the right amounts in. Then I would still take test cylinders from the concrete and have it broken in a lab to insure the strength is where I want it to be.
I dont mind either one, the trailer is nice because you can haul big loads but its harder to get into tight job sites. I might be a little biased when it comes to brand but I do like these Omega's, I guess I learned on them and they make good mud.
Greetings from Russia John Neufeld! Your videos are always amazing! You understand the mood. You have good concrete. And my car can't do that yet. The concrete is not homogeneous. Checked in the laboratory. Perhaps we have a wrong screw design. Or can such a mixer only make liquid concrete? We only poured concrete into a block shape like in one of your videos. #volumetricmixer #volumetrixmixeroperator #concretemixer #roadmaster #roadmasteromega
@@johnneufeld02 Our Is the mix too uneven because our concrete is too hard? Does the mixer mix better with more water? If you raise the auger higher, make the angle larger, will it blend better, or does the angle not affect the mix in any way? The biggest problem I had was when there was too much concrete in the mixer. The upper rubber opened and the concrete flew in all directions))
Awesome content. I’m going to hire a VCT to pour my 40yd pole barn slab. I really dig the tech.
Very informative video! Thank you. The best I seen for the volumetric Mixer!
just found ur channel, I wanted to see a volumetric mixer thanks. btw I did sub, I have a channel too about concrete,
Great content! Much appreciated.
*dude I can't believe u and 1 other guy poured out and basically operated that truck and poured it* w a rake lol
Man I'm happy for you good job great truck
I thought you give up on the channel glad to see you back on
The summer just gets busy, hard to make videos.
So what is the mix design for 1m³ at 32mpa,
Hello John. How are you? I hope you are well.
Like it. Was that around 7.5 yards? Also curious what brand of volumetric mixer that is?
Cement tech it looks like
Hey bud, i like your videos where do they sell these trucks I’m in California...
well done bro
What is average cost per yard for raw materials?
John at the beginning when you check the concrete did you rotate the auger in the opposite direction? This is not dangerous?
Yes I rotate it slowly in reverse to check it, I dont think its dangerous if you go slowly. You don't want to run it at full speed in reverse because your driving the concrete against the bottom bearing.
Another thing you need to check out for is your measurement (The gage settings) what ratio are you mixing?
exelent

Do you prefer the trailer to the truck? What’s your favorite brand of mixer?

I'm not sure what you mean with your question if such a mixer can only do liquid concrete, what kind of concrete are you trying to make?

The auger angle should be about 45°, and yes I would say these augers are designed for wet concrete.
At least I know this will be safe to watch with my kiddos😉
No sound
How many yds on that trailer
Usually around 13.
your audio when talking can only be heard on the left side...
