Cookie Blitz it definitely will! And it will dry the hell out of your skin. But when you’re in a pinch, it works!
Strawberry Cream calm TF down and it depends. There's also a lot of people who wear setting spray with alcohol. I think it's fine If you wear heavy makeup and the hair spray doesn't have alcohol in it. Also there's people who assume the risk to put alcohol on their face. Gives me nightmare because half of my family is alino and my skin is really sensitive to stuff like that. Lol after all you put it in your hair and if it damages your face than believe me it does the same with your hair. There's a lot of ingredients in setting spray are similar with the ones from hair spray. Again it depends. Setting spray is also full of chemicals and many people prefer a setting spray with alcohol in it if they go for a heavy look.

I've always used hairspray to set my face before dance performances. It is the holy grail of staying power!!! :D

The hairspraying your face thing for your make up to last longer: I learnt that like 20 years ago because we dancers used to do that before every rehearsal... it worked amazing even though there was transpiration and all!! Yes, it's not the best thing for your skin, but I agree it's a great tip for special ocassions, when you need that extra fixation! You're a great teacher... don't mind the narrow minded haters ;)

I have some thick eyebrows and sometimes when they're being bad I use the hairspray trick the same way you showed and it works wonders! I love it! Congrats on the bf! it was one of your new years resolutions! So happy for you!
I've used hairspray on my brows and an old toothbrush for ages. My husband thought it was the weirdest thing ever lol but it works!

Hi Nikki! One morning I actually set my make up with hairspray by accident. I reached for my setting make up spray but grabbed the hairspray by mistake, sprayed away and jumped out of my skin when I realized what had just happened. I couldn't wash it off because i had to leave the house. My make up lasted all day without me breaking out. I haven't used this technique since then but I know it works!

I've used hairspray for glitter before :) I prefer to apply it to a flat brush instead of the way you suggested, but it really does make your glitter last forever :)

Hey Nikkie, So I went to a music festival in Sydney Australia yesterday and I used this tip on my make up. The weather was raining, muggy and very hot, plus with all the jumping around in crowds and listening to music I was obviously very sweaty. I didn't check my make up til the end of the night and to my surprise it had not moved an inch! Thank you so much for this tip, enabled me to still look and feel fabulous through out the day =D

I swear by hairspray as a setting spray. It makes my makeup budge proof! I use it when I got to clubs or concerts and I wake up the next day with my makeup still perfect
I spray my face everyday with hairspray!! It totally works and doesnt bother my skin at all. Just a really light mist and your set!!

You can also use hairspray for coverage. For example, if you use something like foundation on stretch marks or birthmarks on your legs,shoulders, etc, you can use hairspray to sort of set the makeup, and prevent it from smudging and getting on your clothes.

I did the eyebrowthing for almost a year, but then i ran out of spray, and didn't buy a new one. So I stopped! Aaaaand i have done the face-stay thing whit the spray, and it really is a wonder! :D
Ages ago when I first started colorguard, back in the day when setting sprays were kinda obsolete, we used to hairspray to set our makeup. It lasted HOURS and through intense performances! :)

I have used the eyebrow trick and the make your make up last all day one too.. The last one really does work! But like you say. Only for really really really special occasions where you may not be able to touch up your make up a lot through the night!
I love the eyebrow one though! Brow gels are a rarity here and using hairspray to tame eyebrows is a lifesaver! :D

I've been using hairspray to set my eyebrows and set my face for years and it's a wonder I love it
I use hairspray for my eyebrows all the time! I've found that the clear mascara makes them too shiny and flake off sometimes. And I have a friend who uses hairspray for her setting spray all the time lol it's crazy she did it to me once and I didn't like the sticky feeling it left lolol congrats on your new beau!

It's true! It works with the makeup-staying process. I had to put it on for my Quinceañera (4 years ago...), and it worked perfectly. I was amazed by that tip! And thnx for the glitter help, I needed that! And congrats on your boyfrieeennd ;)

the hairspray sealing makeup trick is actually really awesome.. its not toxic its totally fine as long as u close ur eyes and mouth while u spray and let it dry fast.. and it really works.. woman have been doing for years its an old trick!

My friend is a VERY successful makeup artist and owns a huge salon in Los Angeles...he does makeup on some well known celebrities and uses hairspray to set their makeup...great video! XO! Kim

So spray face with hair spray after makeup is already done, or before makeup application?
I do the glitter hairspray thing, but a little different. I use a palette and spray the palette with hairspray, then take a wet brush and mix with the hairspray to make a glitter adhesive then apply it to my makeup.
