- Today I am sharing my honest review of Green Chef. I ordered the Keto Meal Plan which includes 3 meals for 2 people. I cooked these recipes for my husband and I for lunches. This video is not sponsored. I paid my own money to receive a box.

You get the same thing with all the other online meal plans.... Aaaand you can find the menus for green chef online!! I get the vegetarian / vegan meals and I love them...

Hi! I know this video was filmed a while ago. I was searching for Green Chef reviews and yours was the first one that came up, so I watched it! I enjoyed your honest opinion about the taste of the food. I am desperately searching for a meal plan that has low carb friendly meals. The few meal kits I have looked into and tried so far, all have so many recipes that include potatoes or rice :(
Anyway, odd question, I am really curious how you liked the Flow alkaline water that you got as a sample?

Before we get to the food: Is your necklace a little lemon slice? :o) Thank you for sharing your experiences with these meal delivery kits. I tried Blue Apron once and could see the value in it for some people. In the end, I found that I really do love grocery shopping and trying out recipes that I find online or hear about from friends. :o)
I think a regular grocery store delivery service would be cheaper and it would save you the trip to the store. I use the Shipt service and really like it. Just a suggestion!
If you click on the photo for each plan it will show the meals for the next 4 weeks for that plan, without entering in any info.
Thanks for the video! I was thinking about it but than thought, well I can look up keto recepies and just order food through walmart pack them in my fridge individually and there you go! My own little greenchef order lol honestly the only reason I wanted to order from here is because of the keto products that I was scared to mess up. Seeing the price (which is fine for who eats out almost everyday) is not great for me because I do cook cuban home made food every day except Sundays, that's when my husband cooks from his country so... yah thanks a lot.

We tried several of these boxes and Green Chef was our favorite, Sunbasket was second. Terra's kitchen was not even ediable. lol We chose the gluten free options. Love these reviews!
I've been using green chef for a month and very happy with it.My husband really enjoys it.I think you have to try it out yourself then taking somebody else's opinion.

All you had to do is click on the pictures and you can see examples of the meals Right Where You hovered over and it said see what's cooking
What is the portion size like…is two servings really enough for two people?
Sun Basket is supposed to be good and it has a low carb option- I haven’t tried that one yet though, but I hear good things about it.
I agree I hate that you can't see the meals before paying🤨 that made me choose a diffrent service I went with factor meals and i love it
Thank you for reviewing the meal kits. The food in Green Chef looked wonderful. I don't like spicy so this might work - don't like that you have to pay first.
I definitely think any service asking for money should show what you are paying for before having to pay!
This is old..glad to say they have recipes posted you can look at before buying..I did get them about the same time you did because my husband was in a motorcycle accident and was now diabetic..they did and still do have best choice to help him manage..we just don't have the budget...now I'm have to see if you ordered them again since june 2019...mom life means not always time for utube watching 😉

Fun music! I hope to cook for my wife working from home. Will see. Not a cook typically...shudder. she is a celiac so no wheat. I agree about wishing we could have seen b4 paying initially.

I tried Hello Fresh which is the owner of Green Chef and I found that it was extremely expensive and was left not full after eating.
I order pre-cooked keto meals from Factor and it fills me up and the meals don't go over 10 net carbs.
hence my comment above lol thumbs up love im trying to knock out these keto lies as well.
What bothers me is that most of the meals have so much unnecessary sugar in the sauces! I find myself having to substitute with my own sugar free sauces in order to keep under my daily net carb intake.

I liked the flavors in 2022. My issue with them is that the meals are too high in carbs!
I really wish you had shared the nutritional information and especially the carb count for each meal.
On the recipe cards, if you pause, you can see the net carbs. 10 for the Pork chops, 13 for the enchilada, 15 for the curry.
They looked great finished, but flavor is where it's at, and if the flavor isn't there for me I'm more temped to cheat. Thank you for your honest opinion, it means a lot. You might be able to make your own Keto meals that will suit your tastes more, maybe Nicole will have some great recipes for you. I know you are not trying to go all Keto, just making those lifestyle changes is hard enough, so for me you have to love it. :-)
I’m so glad I saw this. I thought I was the only one that didn’t like the taste.
It's confusing that you said it's a con that the meal kit subscriptions require you to pay before you can see the menus but you've ordered it anyways so obviously it wasn't a big enough deterrent to order. Every week the menu changes anyways so you wouldn't judge based on the menu. Then the next clip you go on to say "my next review is the Green Chef Meal Kit." Maybe it was from another video and it was just cut wrong but which company did you previously review?

I use Green Chef and love them. I am also a very good cook. I eat gluten free and very low carb, I have found they are great for variety. I get stuck in a rut at times.
i was just there and their keto sucks if they cant get that right why would i bother looking at any other shitty meals they offer

You would think they would have chopped the chicken for you and the bell pepper and tomato and and.....Will never buy this stuff...if I have to chop it all, I can do it by picking ripe tomatoes and other produce and get my chicken thighs on sale and such. You are wrong.. .you can view meals... on top left of main page click Menu... then click Weekly Menu... then select Meal Plan and choose from plant powered, keto & paleo, or balanced living.. and it shows you the meals. From there you can click each meal and it shows you what is in that meal and a short description.
Besides the taste are their keto meals really keto??????
This company packages their meals exactly like Hello Fresh does!

Vanessa....no...I mean, it’s great that you are trying these out, and I admit I was curious, but we know you can cook and create meals a hundred times better than those kits. “We don’t need no steeenkin’ meal kits!!”! Can’t get out to buy groceries??? HEB and even Walmart delivers! You were doing all the work anyhow. Enchilada casserole?? Every Texan in your audience died a little bit! Lol! Seriously, love your honest reviews, and it convinced me that meal prep and planning is the way to go!! ♥️🐾. P.S. you do look like you’re loosing weight!!!!
I feel like these meal kits are a rip if it cost more for me to cook than it does for me to go out to eat! I do like that it's easy and organic!
I wanted to check some of them out to see how they stacked up. You can certainly cook at home for less, and probably go out to eat a decent sit-down dinner for about the same. You are really paying for the convenience with these types of kits.
Idk man eating low carb for 3 days for me and my girl was $60ish. It's pricey for sure. I think meal plan just makes it easier for us to not go out and pick stuff out

Definitely keto if you eat once a day, lol. I google search keto recipes, and found a ton of amazing recipes. I recommend this plan if you're an intermittent faster.
I've never heard of this company. I don't think I would like them but I might give it a try and see if I like them. The meals you got sounded good and looked good but I'm not crazy about food that doesn't taste good.
That's not accurate. You can view all the meals availavle for each week b4 paying, u have to click on the link. However, u will have to pay first to choose your meals. You can skip every month if u don't like the next week's selection.. It's legit, u see exactly what u r paying b4 swiping your credit card.
A LOT of people are commenting on the fact that green chef requires you to submit payment BEFORE even knowing what meals are available or if they even look appealing to you. Now after reading the comments, I can see that you CAN see the meals on the website prior to purchasing however you cannot on the mobile device which is the mode I originally used to set up my plan but immediately stopped when I approached the above mentioned issue. I think this is an obvious issue and they are losing a lot of business not providing the same access via mobile app or at the very least a clear statement on the app that you can go to their website to see complete meal plan options prior to paying. I can only imagine how much business they have lost by omitting this from their mobile app. Ijs

This was not well explained. "The flavors were lacking,'" doesn't help me understand if it wouldn't suit my tastes either.
Where is Gordon Ramsey to challenge these claims of under 15 minutes total cook time? The food was pretty good and the price point was fair not excessive, and not cheap.
My concern is the inaccurate cooking times.
15 minutes really means 23.
30 minutes means 56.
35 minutes means 82.
I don't expect professional chefs to be the standard and my wife and I both run a startup food catering service. We have chosen to use standard house knives and cookware equal to store bought (Target) and expect that if you are a professional chef you are not ordering these consistently because you already make your own recipes.
Please understand that we did enjoy the food and this excelled with diversity of dishes like most other companies and health wise we chose paleo and keto friendly dishes.
Customer service misinformation was also prevelant. One representative told us the food would NEVER expire during transit shipping, even if it took 5 years to leave from the factory before it arrived at our door. This is simply not true as confirmed by a supervisor.
The claim is food will be good for 7 days after it arrives but little information is given about whether it takes 2 days or 10 to arrive after it leaves their store.
I wish you’d talk more and share your thoughts as you’re cooking. Just watching you cook to music is boring. I see more and more people doing it that way. I guess it makes doing videos easy. I just find myself getting bored and don’t want to finish watching the video. 😟

I cannot get into Keto at all. Firstly, I am a vegetarian. So, I would probably would not like any of the recipes.
I realize that there are some decent plant based meals for the Keto lifestyle. I find them flavorless.

Donna Noe if you can’t get into ketosis you need to eat more fat. It should be 85% of your diet. 15% protein 5% carbs

To many carbs and to much sugar in the recipes . Average 21 carbs a meal and 7 sugars .. I’ll pass
