I can only somewhat agree with you there. Knowing these songs as a teenager (13/14 or so) is what showed me the world needs help. It's what got me into activism and such. These taught me about how much pain the world was seeing just like all the pain i had been going through. Will always be one of my favorite bands.

If you are upset at someone but for whatever reason don't tell them then you will end up resenting them. If your cup is filled with hate of yourself then you can never really love anyone. If your cup is filled with feelings for someone else but it doesn't work out and you try to fill the rest of it with feelings for another then it will never work. Take the cup you have now and empty it. Only then will you ever move onto happiness in yourself or with another. Love music where you can take a single line from and gain a paragraph of amazing insight with a few moments of thought.

The fact that someone's widely popular dosen't mean these guys aren't. My musical tastes range from people with this much views to others with less than 50k regularly. That doesn't mean they're bad, though, and they're nowhere near 10M

15 years ago today, I heard my first Rise Against song. I wouldn't trade that discovery for much in this world.
I feel this song so much. Its literally my life right now in song form.

If you still have resentments that you buried in yourself, weather they be toward yourself or another you cant be truly happy. If you are upset at someone but for whatever reason don't tell them then you will end up resenting them. If your cup is filled with hate of yourself then you can never really love anyone. If your cup is filled with feelings for someone else but it doesn't work out and you try to fill the rest of it with feelings for another then it will never work. Take the cup you have now and empty it. Only then will you ever move onto happiness in yourself or with another.
